    I have a friend that worked at Cedar Point while he was getting his electrical engineering degree. He actually built a panel, very similar to this for a final assignment for one of his classes. He had it programmed with all of the PLC's just like a REAL coaster. while he was working there, he took the switches he bought, and had the maintenance guys swap them out for ones that were ACTUALLY on the different rides. So his panel, when it was completed, was all switches that were from real roller coasters :)

    I wish planet coaster had this feature that you can control rollercoasters and flat rides manually.

    So I'm absolutely in love with the idea of building my own control panel for games and yours is incredible. But with a game like this where there's no passengers/etc just seems like something is missing, especially with such a great control panel. Will they ever add guests or is it strictly about building rollercoasters?

    • @jonathandpg6115
      @jonathandpg6115 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's more about building and ridding rolercoasters that is there focus. It's less of a game in the traditional sense.

      +rct800 this is my favorite coaster to operate, I've spent hours dispatching! I love the floating block in the station, the lift hill logic where it waits on the transfer track just as Fury 325 does and I especially like how the train behind the station creeps forward waiting for the train to be dispatched. I've operated X-Flight and I always like when we are able to dispatch before the train in the brake run comes to a stop and this is the only no limits coaster that does it.

    • @rct800
      @rct800 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sfgamfan Great to hear! I've been spending around 80% of the Building Time just finetuning the Block Script so that the ride would behave as real as possible. I just wish NL2 would also have variable liftspeeds...

    • @realsfgamfan
      @realsfgamfan  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      rct800 absolutely agree, wish that variable speeds was an option to avoid the train stopping at the top of the lift. Hopefully that feature is added soon!

      +DJ Ffin My first panel I made was in 2013 for no limits 1. This is the third revision of the panel which I stated the programming over since the last one I made had most of the similar functions but adding features was difficult since the code had started very basic and I added in so much stuff that it was hard to change things without breaking other stuff. I've been working on this version of the panel on and off for about a year. I don't know how much I've spent on this since it's been buying more buttons and switches over the course of a few years. This enclosure was about $70 if I remember correctly and the buttons, lights and switches cost between $20-50 each. The panel runs off an Arduino mega and communicates with an Arduino Due to send the keyboard commands to No limits. Thanks for the interest, I might make a video explaining how it works in the future so stay tuned!
