Best thing I ever did on my old Tyco track was to use two power sections, so that each lane had its own power supply and controller. Otherwise, you always get that surge of power when the other racer lets off the throttle. lol
Man I’ve got almost 100’ of track and the turbo boost panel….but I’ve only got one car that works.
Gonna have to check eBay for another car.
That's a sweet layout! I love that bridge in-between the 2 spirals. I've been going through videos to get an idea on a few things and I think that's one of the coolest I've seen so far. Hell, I might just do the spirals and bridge.
I have a video about the bridge and where to get it, however the person I dealt with passed away last year. I do not know if he was the only owner or not. His wife responded to me once on facebook letting me know he had passed, but she did not respond to any follow up questions.
I've seen it once on either eBay or Amazon but haven't seen it in awhile. But I'm not sure if the one I saw was 2 or 4 lane wide.
@@mikelandis6042 yup, he sold both and I found it on ebay, but contacted him to do my order as he did not have the corkscrew towers for banked track listed at that time.
Cool to find your channel! I have a huge collection of HO cars and Trac that I've had since I was a kid.
Looking to restore/ repair the track
That is exactly how this all happened from the 1st video. Glad you found us!
I see you have come car videos. I have a separate channel devoted to my cars and other general repairs. th-cam.com/users/PhoenixHavenGarage
Got a quick question:
Got allot of track that's got broken clips. I'm thinking there's these metal clips that can be used to attach the track together. Does this sound right? Or do you recommend another repair
@@gabesgarage4522 Super glue gel pieces of track together or look for people selling track on craigslist or facebook marketplace. You can score some deals.
I'm not of fan of excessive track scenery, it makes the course harder to marshal. Your track is really long, are you using jumpers?
No jumpers, but individual power to each lane. It ran fine before, its just wear and tear from use
@@StockpileHobbies how do you hook up individual power to each lane? By the way your layout rocks!!
@@kruser1137 Thank you! Here is how I did the 1/4 mile dragstrip th-cam.com/video/-UTVdR4OAyk/w-d-xo.html
