That was the fun part of all this Anime being on syndication at the time. Seeing something new and cool and telling your friends about the show and getting them hooked into it. Because that is the fun part of being a kid. Watching something new and secret and the merchandise was MOSTLY Japan exclusive. But then, WB picked it up and saw $$$$$ with this Anime Boom and the rest was history.
We have to keep our memories alive no matter how tough life is we got to remember our childhoods our parents who loved us the cereals we ate in the things that made us happy
I was in Elementary School (3rd Grade) doing some morning push ups, sit-ups in the Couch Grandma's couch, eating some Cereals like Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loop, or Fruity Pebbles, getting dressed up for School in School Uniform 5am
That's Eric Stuart as the male announcer; you can hear a bit of Brock in his voice. I definitely remember the first one when Pokémon aired on WSBK-38 Boston (back when it was a UPN affiliate).
@matthewmensah481 - Season 1: Very good to remember. - Season 2: Ted Lewis is our Tracey Sketchit. - Seasons 3-5: Very good. - Seasons 6-8: 4Kids have good rights. - Season 9: Cast change was awkwardly garbage. - Seasons 10-13: Veronica Taylor and Eric Stuart were better. - Seasons 14-16: I've kinda miss the original "Who's That Pokemon". - Seasons 17-19: It's not on CN, anymore. - Seasons 20-22: Gonna missed the 2010s. - Seasons 23-25: They're gonna leave Netflix forever. Season 26: Gonna missed Ash.
WACY-TV "UPN 32" Green Bay/Appleton, Wisconsin aired Pokemon as part of their afternoon Wacky 32 kids block until June 2, 1999, when WPXG-TV "Pax 14" Green Bay/Suring, Wisconsin was converted to WIWB "Wisconsin's WB 14," and Pokemon, along with the Kids' WB block, moved there...
Anime during the syndication era aired so early in the morning because TV stations didn’t have enough time between news/talk show programming and network kids blocks which did not have rights to any anime at that time. Another reason might be because TV stations weren’t all that interested in anime…
Actually it depends on the state and area you lived in. I remember Pokemon being on after school. But my New Jersey friends said it was on at 8:00am so they weren’t able to see it.

Pokemon was on Kids' WB, since 1999.
Cartoon Network, Disney XD and Netflix were actually garbage in modern times.
