For the people asking for Arma on consoles, I'd honestly say don't ever count on it. For one Arma is pretty intense because of how massive it is and the next gen consoles would probably get an extremely needed, smaller, modless, no level creator version. Which would kill the game basically and not even be worth it. Consoles just don't have enough power to run this thing decently and they're a closed off platform. This is another reason to build a PC, I wouldn't say just switch for this, but the Arma series while having a bigger barrier to entry then most games, can supply an insane amount of fun. These games have tons of missions and gamemodes and just tons of stuff.

I think that down the line we might see consoles be able to handle this but not right now I agree. I also feel like the audience isn't there for consoles. I mean I don't know a lot of 10 year old's let alone kids my age that would like to strategize for hours like I do.
***** Why do people always assume that console players are always little kids? I play on a PlayStation 4 and come across 3-5 kids a week. It's not like kids can't own a good PC. And I personally think this gen could handle this game. The PS4 can already handle PlanetSide 2 with little to no complications. Now I've never played this game, but from the looks of its play style it doesn't seem to host many huge firefights. Honestly, it looks very possible that it comes to consoles.
Matthew Criswell I never criticized console players, however Planetside 2 is running at 30fps on PS4. At what I assume is 1080p. Who knows what the exact settings are. But ARMA is extremely taxing. And the big thing for the ARMA games are mods and level creator. In some mods, FPS is extremely low on medium to high end systems. I'm talking like, 25-30fps on a lot of mods is what a majority of the players play. Some mods have good FPS, it really differs. And I'm talking about medium to high end systems here. MUCH Stronger than a PS4. If this came to consoles, it'd get maybe a level creator, and just stock multiplayer which hosts lots of people. Who knows, all I know is ARMA is probably always going to be a PC game, another thing is the amount of keys.
Matthew Criswell sure but in general no kid would spend money on a high level pc over a console I mean it's more expensive, has a harder learning curve, and none of their friends would have be able to play with them. So I'm just saying that in general only older people would play this game.
G2a is what i like to call a grey reseller.They get keys via shady methods and people. A lot of the keys they sell are legal, but some are not. Just want everyone to know that there is a risk buying from g2a. Dont believe me? Just google it.
I've taken a few risks and I've bought stuff of of G2A. No problems so far but it's only when I'm extremely short on cash when I buy off of it.

I buy from G2A, and i usually just get the G2A shield. that way if the key gets black listed later as stolen g2a will give me a new one or refund me. It's like any sort of open market system sometimes the things you buy will be from people who stole them. It's an unfortunate thing but I think the quantity of stolen keys on G2A is much smaller than the media would have you believe. Also regarding the ubisoft situation im sure they had some keys stolen from them but i could care less. I bought farcry 3 directly from uplay and it got invalidated like 4 months later.. so regardless where you get your ubisoft key there is always a chance they will invalidate it.

That was pretty damn sick. Loves the last run for the base in that armored vehicle.
The TWS is my favorite scope, usable day and night. It comes with a built in range finder so you can center it in very easily. It's black and white thermal and very easy to see enemies in, and isn't red or orange like the nightstalker that drives me crazy.
I gotta agree. Its easily the best scope in the game.

Can't help but mention the slight... what to call it? Irony works best I guess. The fact that y'all used an airstrike to clear the mines away from a radio tower, so you could plant explosives to blow up said radio tower. I get it as a mission in the game, but still, a bit of a two stones and one bird scenario, yes?

Very nice, and the exciting vehicle escape at the end was a nice, dramatic touch!
It's awesome to see some tactical Arma 3 gameplay. It shows how nice the game is as a military shooter, all i do in Arma 3 is play Altis life trafficking drugs, a lot of drugs, and doing stupid stuff with the vehicles.
So if this co-op against ai with about 60 players, where are the other guys?
Yeah, that server was really empty when they played, but at 0:34 you can see that "Hoax [MH-9 Hummingbird] +1" marker on the map near the base. Hoax is a player flying a Hummingbird, and one other player is with him. But this sniper-spotter role doesn't need more men.
You can imagine when there are 40+ people in front of you assaulting the AO. I really like it.

If you put your boat in the axis of your turret, physics say you should have less vertical recoil ^^'

LyNx Clan+ taylor Chan, so you are telling me that an LMG shooting from a "sniper nest" is common practice? geez well vassili zaitsev had it wrong, the Canadian snipers supporting the solders in operation anaconda had it wrong too. in fact a lot of sniper teams that engage larger enemy forces have it wrong then :O the point of a sniper is to engage the target at distance to neutralize HVT's (whether that's from precision sniper fire or calling in additional assets like artillery or airstrikes) and then withdraw without dying, where if in real life you had a 2 man ambush attacking a group much larger would be decimated, but since you two know a lot about strategy, tell me what sun Tzu says about this exact situation ? hint, it goes along the lines of don't fight a larger force directly...
+chipmunk3k Its 2 people taking out targets not an entire fucking army helping them out. The point of the LMG isnt to actually kill the targets its to tell the sniper where the targets are. And it keeps an enemy behind a spot where an LMG cant get em but a sniper can. Difference between this and those other operations? These guys have an ammo drop every once in a while to help them. Thats it.

Do I need the Marksmen DLC for the Ghillie Suit?
The half ghillie suit is in the base game, so you can use it, but the full suit (which covers the legs too) are only in the DLC.

Yes and u know where to aim by using a rangefinder zeroed on ur gun or just shoot by eye measurement if Ur experienced
Well, in "real life" you have to test your ammo and create a data sheet for a certain point of impact, and what windage and elevation you need to "dope" your scope to. In some arma mods, you actually reference a data sheet that was provided by the devs, and dope your scope accordingly. In this, he has his spotter range the target, and then sets the "zero" for whatever range the spotter gave him. His current zero can be found at the top right in white under the ammo/mag counter.
Just bought a new beast of a PC and I plan on playing ARMA, thanks for letting me know about this mod. I like it as real as I can get.

Michael Taboada Even though this is old since no one gave you a real answer I will. White listed means you have to be approved to be allowed to play. White list = a list of allowed things, black list = a list of banned things.

Not really, it should work fine. Drag the file into your steamapps/common/Arma3/Mpmissions then host a server on lan or internet usually you'd do it on lan

Look at DAC and headless clients. I can get almost 500 responsive AI on a server without FPS drops, with 30-40 players

This game is bad, battlefield is more realistik because you can jump from Planes and shoot rockets mid air, and if you fall you'll need just two paddles to get back up

Okay, I don't know why no one has asked you to do this yet, but here is the next loadout you should do.
--Team Fortress 2 Scout--
Play as the Engineer Class on Domination or Conquest (Control Point), or Capture the Flag
Primary weapon: DAO-12. No optics, Buckshot, Extended mag (Scatter Gun)
Sidearm: either Compact 45 on BF4 or M1911 on BF3
Sprint Specialization
Avoid using any of the anti-vehicle weapons, the repair tool, grenades, or the knife.
Be sure to spam that space bar and shift key.
