Thanks for the video. Nice job. 27,000 hrs, mostly Boeing (almost all of them, from the 707 on). Plenty of Douglas time (mostly DC-10's) and recently retired off the A321NX. Over 6000 hs in those.
Very nice! Congrats on retirement. Sorry I couldn't do them better justice as I am a bit more familiar with B737 platform than airbus, but I have learned to enjoy the airbus. The hardware quality is exceptional.
I'm getting the new Somnium VR when it releases. Like the Quest 3, it has high-res, full color pass through, and it includes the software for identifying and showing the areas where your hardware is. This makes your hardware and your hands visible while still in VR, and is what I have been waiting for, since I have lots of great harwdware. WinWing is putting out some fantastic stuff. I am an IRL Airbus pilot, and I approve this message!
That is a great analogy! Comparing playing an instrument with muscle memory and using VR with this hardware. Even more so when the hardware really closely replicates where things actually are in the plane on VR.
interesting i would love if you did a video comparing different models of hardware so i can see them all side by side! Great video and making me want to expand my sim experience!
@@theVRpilot I am not sure I just started getting back into flight sim with the new MSFS2024 release so im starting to research panels. I see the saitek/logi panels and these. I know a few other companies have to exist out there as i have seen a 3D printed Tiller(Trying to find that STL) I Mean honestly anything on peripherals would be rad! I am looking at possibly building on my system now that there will be missions to do!
Yes! I need this, just like the G1000's, G540, ffb yoke and stick. I'll probably need the complete Boeing set too. Flying in VR with this is no problem indeed, 1 week and muscle memory kicks in.
I can't wait to get this to go with the FCU. Really looking forward to the Boeing stuff in the future. These items are a HUGE game changer and really increases confidence when flying on Vatsim.
Great headsup. Fantastic products at very disruptive, fantastic pricing. I'm waiting on the arrival of a left EFIS + FCU. Question: I think you have a Logitech(/Saitek) radio panel on show here. I'm thinking of getting one. Can you get it to work with FS2024?
Yes! I think this is the plugin I installed. once Installed you have to run it before (or after you run the sim) but you need to run it before the LEDS light up and the radio works. Also, the radio panel has to be plugged into a usb 2.0 hub, and then I have the 2.0 going to a 3.0 hub which has the rest of my hardware. but if you plug in the Radio a 3.0 hub first it wont work. support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360024692354--Downloads-Flight-Multi-Panel lmk if this works!
Ive ordered the EFIS, but just waiting for email notification for payment and shipping. My custom home cockpit is based off of the a320, so ive been anxiously awaiting this
I don’t know why initially it wasn’t there, but it arrived in the mail a week ago and I just opened the package today and found it! So you can change it out to show EXPED! But not sure why it was done this way from launch.
Hey! Maybe I wasn’t clear but yes, it works in other planes but you will have to likely manually bind it. But yes, the hardware will work fine with any plane. I used it in the PMDG B737 after binding it manually myself.
Gotcha. Thanks! That was what I was wondering. If it only worked with Airbus I don't know that I would purchase it. But if you can manually set it up to work with other aircraft then I could see the value in it.
I fly VR also, and have the WinWin FCU and the EFIS is on order. I have my units mounted to reflect where they would be so in VR what I see is what I touch..really does take it to another level not having to use a mouse
@@theVRpilot Yes I did all that. In the sim the screens match what is on the aircraft. The dials for the HDG, Spd, Alt, Vspeed dont work, The knobs on the EFIS for the Range and the Nav/Arc do work and the push buttons work.
EasyJet sim pilot is not a real pilot, he often says so on his videos when asked. He is quite knowledgeable about EasyJet’s procedures and is worth listening to imo.
Is there any point to getting the R one if you’re only going to fly in the pilot (left) seat? Looks like they’re redundant controls between the two units. Seems like a waste of $90 to get both.
Good point. No not really. Check out XP72 on youtube. He has the left EFIS and center console and has both units offset. It looks more real and works great and he didn’t get the right EFIS. Save the money for another accessory.
Quest 3 and mixed reality (OpenKneeboard). Too easy. To ensure friends don't use my peripherals as handholds, I have fitted stainless handholds from a boat. They have made entering/exit from the sim way easier/safe, even for me.
I was at Flight Sim Expo in Vegas. I need to get a phone number or email addy for this company because I can't buy anything from them no matter what i try to do. They do not answer my tickets or even when in the chat system. I want to buy the FCU and EFIS both right and left from them but can't. Ebay wants $562.00 for all 3 pieces. :-o No way. I don't need them that bad.

💪🏼💪🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻 The Somnium VR1 is amazing! Best headset I’ve ever tried!

Yes! Exactly!

I’d love to do a comparison.
What other hardware is comparable to this? MiniFCU?

Great review man.

Just purchased from Amazon, should arrive in a week from now!

That’s going to be great! I think you’re going to love it.
As an exclusive VR pilot I have the "almost" real thing in front of me :)
Why is it missing the EXPED button missing?

Thanks for sharing Jose! Does this ship from China or is there a distribution in the US? Thanks!
I will ask and let you know.
Can you not use the FCU for other airplanes? Does heading, altitude, VS, not work in a Cessna or a 737? Only the airbus variants?

Nice! The key is having that consistency for muscle memory. It makes a huge difference after a few weeks / months.
I just got the Winwing FCU and EFIS, it works with the Fly By Wire A320 in MSFS 2020 but not the default one. How do I fix that?
Have you tried updating software + firmware?
