Tiamat is actually the best starting item in terms of damage for qiyana, you should always go tiamat into dirk if you wanna do hubris first or tiamat into hydra, you should only get dirk first if u are forced to base at 700 gold Damage at level 4: dirk 407 tiamat 437 brutalizer 411 The difference is really big and having tiamat helps you shove better so its easy to find roams + it helps stack conq faster or proc electrocute easier
Tiamat is only better if the target has 0 armor. If the target has 30 armor which is very normal for a level 3 champ, the lethality from dagger increases your physical damage by more than 10% which is a huge diff for kill power
You need to count in the cost of the Items, since dirk is much cheaper and if you add another Longsword which would basically make it a similiar Gold amount as Brutalizer and Tiamat Dirk + 1 LS deals much more dmg. Even if there is a ,,mathematically'' better build this is targeted for low/mid elo specifically and all my clients loved the build since you can easily decide which item you want to go for after profane. So its also a question of how practical is it which matters a lot for the specific elo brackets.
@EdoQiyana I personally think tiamat is the best choice if you have the gold, obviously if you are forced to back at 700g buy dirk but if you can stay an extra wave and get that 850 it's always better, specially for some matchups

You don't build specifically for a Bruiser, you want to avoid them by sidelaning the other side of the map and focusing the enemy ADC/MID in Teamfights while playing around stealth so you can ignore the Fed top. Qiyana is not made to fight tanks/bruisers, she can only do that if she is ultra fed. Otherwise you will lose it most of the time.
This will not happen if you play the early game properly. You can use ignite to force his TP because he is low. Then you shove the mid wave reset and you come back to a wave that is pushing into you. Also this is highly situational and it really depends on each matchup meaning you cannot generalize that scenario.
I do! I run Youmus every game since Map impact in High Elo is much more important.
