Nice easy job theres usually a little arrow on those lights to show you which way the beam goes got caught out before on a Renault 5 and it failed the NCT, somehow Wilton Motors sold me a left hand drive headlight for a RHD car
If you watch the Charade video as well I think there was two episodes that I was down to a T-shirt this year Eric. My garage is quite shaded from what little son we get. I also live on a hillside by the sea, so it's almost always a bit breezy.
Have you ever tried the stickers that you can put onto the lights to convert them to rhd drive? I'm in the same boat with the cinquecento as the lights I bought are lhd and I passed the nct after putting the bulbs in at an angle and adjusting the lights to compensate for the bad focus but it's not a permanent solution... would get the stickers if they work
My experience of the stickers on my Cinquecento when I took it to France to compete in the Saint Goueno Hillclimb was that they fell off, so I resolved to carrying a spare pair ready to fit if requested. I didn't drive it during the night there anyway.
So the glass has different shaped prisms to focus the beam in different directions and what I didn't account for was the little reflector infront of the bulb is mounted the opposite way around too, this is what lead mine to have the wrong pattern at the test.
nice new headlamps!

I didn't spot the arrows but I've marked the lights with some tape so I can fit them if I take a Kadett to Germany.
They must have a rigorous inspection in Ireland. Is it ever warm at your locale?

@@VantagePointVideoGarage if they helped me to pass the nct I'd be happy enough. The cinq is not my daily. Thanks for the reply.
One of the NCT guys actually said that beam benders would be enough. I'm just stubborn.
What's the difference inside LHD and RHD headlight assemblies?

How did you fix the reflector in the end. Did you get another light?
