Tebow's 1st NFL start, he was told he would start the morning of the game, in the 'Black Hole', in a monsoon. The next week the Broncos won against the Texans at home, Tebow's first 300 yd passing game.
Tebow’s career completion percentage is 47.9 percent. Here are the stats of two multi-threat starting quarterbacks with about as many starts as Tebow: Robert Griffin III's completion percentage is 65.6 percent and Colin Kaepernick's completion percentage is 62.3 percent.
erric bishup For the love of god I truly hope he improved his throwing mechanics because if he starts for my Eagles I'm going to gasp after every throw....
For the incompletion at :22 [:32], Tebow was heavily blitzed and just had to heave the ball downfield. Reading your original comments, I would have thought it was just a matter of being a bad pass.
Now, to really see how bad this is, look at the statistics of two quarterbacks no longer on a NFL team. Vince Young's completion percentage is 57.9 percent and former number one pick in the 2007 NFL Draft JaMarcus Russell has a career completion percentage of 52.1 percent.
Seemed like his completions were because of the receiver, not because his throwing. I will admit that his receiver did let him down on that one pass(Lance Ball).
the pass at 1:00 was a beautiful placed ball [where only the receiver could catch it], and was slightly tipped by skimming the helmet of the Raider. A lob right between two defenders is a tough pass. Question the pass attempt, in this case, but not the throw. In my 20+ years of watching the NFL, this kind catch is not uncommon, even when thrown by great quarterbacks.
I remember a Super Bowl some years ago when Lynn Swann made tremendous catches from Terry Bradshaw. It's part of the game. If Lloyd had some separation Tebow would hit him. Notice on many of the plays Lloyd NEVER had separation. Be honest in your analysis!
Notice on several of these plays there was no separation by the receiver from the defensive back! It THAT Tebows fault. On one play Tebow was blitzed. I remember a Super Bowl a few years ago that constant pressure was put on Tom Brady's league record scoring offense with New England. They only scored 14 points that game and lost!
Might not a be a good passer but he was the main reason why the Broncos made the Playoffs last year. Of course People will disagree because they hate Tim Tebow. I don't know how you hate on a guy who tries to do the right thing all the time. But People hate God so I really don't know what to say to those people.
peoople not liking tebow as a quarterback has nothing to do with hating god. it doesnt make since to put talk about god in sports in the first place..... the defense was main reason.. they gave up average 15 points a game. tebows offense only had 18.5 points a game. in nfl last 3 years is bottom of the list only a couple teams have scored less points. they just dont like his playing ability. if you hired an electrician and he screwed up, you would say, hey your a nice guy but you are fired.
james West True, but when you add Tebow's stats, the Broncos jumped from #15 in rushing, to #1. If you lead the league in rushing, there is like an 85% chance you make the playoffs. It also helps the defense immensely when your QB (TT) scores 2 TD's for every 1 turnover. I'm not saying this is a great formula, but it is why they improved so much over Brady Quinn.
dobravery yeah but he only had a few turnovers because the passes were so off that even the defenders couldn't get to the ball...and remember he played sit teams and won but every good team kicked the shit out of them and lost last 3 of season and got blown out in playoffs..they only made playoffs because of other teams having bad records.. the two teams he tried with after denver he got worse as well. You have to throw accurately in the NFL no buts about it.
He's not the worst, why is everyone saying he's bad. He has a unique throwing motion, that doesn't mean he's bad, it looks like a perfect spiral, just his accuracy is not good enough.
crazy to actually think that he was so good with God!!!!! I love that athletes are coming out more and talking about God.... I like the twitter account @athleticprayer
Nope, Football never gor my attention till i tried it.I started watching football in the 2011 season. And i picked my houston texans cuz thats my city. This is my 2nd season of football. Im no bandwagon. ALWAYS TEXANS
tebow does not need the read option i watched these final 3 games of the 2010 nfl season they did not play the option once .. he plays better in this style offense
ONE playoff game. ONE game period where he "excelled." i have news for you. the NFL has seen PLENTY of players have a successful season and then disappear. trent dilfer and brad johnson are two great examples because both of them won the super bowl and both were pretty bad (but not as bad as tebow). but like tebow they both rode the defense of their teams to super bowl victories.
what you mean there's no footage of him playing badly? the lions beat him badly, the patriots smashed him TWICE. he only scored THREE points against the chiefs in the final game that season. the bills demolished him too. those were his losses. in his wins he played HORRIBLE for 55 minutes then pulled a win out of his ass in the last 5 minutes. 55 minutes x 7 games (that he won)= 385 minutes of footage of him playing badly. add that to the losses and i'd say there's quite a bit of footage.
Both of these men are considered busts in the NFL and no team seems to want to give them a chance. Why then, if their stats are better than Tebow’s and have played as many or more games than Tebow, should Tebow be in the NFL and not these two men?
It's funny how nobody mentions the pass right on the numbers to ball, bounced off his chest, nobody has any serious footage of tebow playing badly, and if it they do its because he is under a microscope....Brady took a safety in the Super Bowl , if that was tebow in the playoffs he would be done
Tebow put these balls on the money for the most part, I really don't understand the shit this guy gets from analysts? I never did , people just want to see him snap and give them a price of his mind, the way he is treated in the media reminds me of all the bums at the local bars shitting on anyone with success
his first game? nah. his first game came the season before. and even in this season this wasn't his first game because the detroit lion mollywhopped him in denver. something very similar to how the patriots did it twice and how the bills did it.
Tebow has a good arm but his form is just not equipped for the NFL, the NFL moves in a very fast pastes, his throwing mechanics are just to slow, not to take credit away from him....because he has been getting faster with throwing... but he's need to develope a faster release or no team might pick him up next season, oh yea i blame the jets for why Tim played bad, Rex Ryan, MANILY
secondly, i, and people of my ilk, DO NOT hate tim tebow. we hate his idiotic fans that thinks he's good when there's NO evidence of him being good. even in the games he won he was HORRIBLE!
dude please. even in the games he won he was terrible. he was atrocious. there's nothing about what i've seen that says he's a "good" QB. absolutely nothing. stinking the joint up for 55 minutes and then pulling a win out your ass after your defense and runningback kept you close enough to win is not a sign of a good QB.
that's because he was lucky to be playing some bum CBs that were just as bad defending the pass as tebow was making the pass. yea that pass was on the money, but if it were a QUALITY CB defending that pass would have been taken back the other way for 6. easily.
Notice how all his incompletes are 3rd down and longs. That's called TERRIBLE play calling. No NFL qb would pass well if he was only allowed to pass on 3rd and long.
U.S. Companies What other type of play would you call? A sweep? Draw on 3rd and long? No, if you have an NFL-quality quarterback, he should be able to convert 3rd downs. At least ones that deserve to be starters
the haters are out today. Steeler fans perhaps? What makes you an expert? Get better son. Stop listening to lame stream media. Sportsccenter obviously has a grudge against him FOR SOME REASON?
wow very well done video i love the touch with the time and incomplete passes
Thumbs up if you pay more attention to the score alerts at the bottom of the screen
Great video! Keep up the good work!
Tebow's 1st NFL start, he was told he would start the morning of the game, in the 'Black Hole', in a monsoon. The next week the Broncos won against the Texans at home, Tebow's first 300 yd passing game.
Who throws the football like that
Jesus Eusebio Christians
Hahah 😂
@MegaPenguin45 it was the close game but i have a feeling that was a rhetorical question.
Ike Taylor, Chris Houston, Charles Tillman, Antoine Winfield, etc. But he did play the Raiders.
I think tebow is good but he never got a chance
tebow was way better than sanchez and geno smith
Austin WC yeah i hope he does well.
erric bishup For the love of god I truly hope he improved his throwing mechanics because if he starts for my Eagles I'm going to gasp after every throw....
MegamanX18 im pretty sure he worked throughout the offseason and improved it.
erric bishup we gonna find out come pre-season.
GOAT, Best QB ever How Reciver caught that pass
For the incompletion at :22 [:32], Tebow was heavily blitzed and just had to heave the ball downfield. Reading your original comments, I would have thought it was just a matter of being a bad pass.

With the way Brandon Lloyd sold out to catch Tebow's passes I KNOW Lloyd was top notch at Duck Hunt on the NES
316 yards passing, 2 tds, 0 ints, 50 yards rushing, 1 rushing td
pretty good stats for a playoff game.
Best Qb in history
Seemed like his completions were because of the receiver, not because his throwing. I will admit that his receiver did let him down on that one pass(Lance Ball).

Question the pass attempt, in this case, but not the throw. In my 20+ years of watching the NFL, this kind catch is not uncommon, even when thrown by great quarterbacks.
why did they trade their best receiver? Tebow's completion stat would go up 10% points with Lloyd alone
I remember a Super Bowl some years ago when Lynn Swann made tremendous catches from Terry Bradshaw. It's part of the game. If Lloyd had some separation Tebow would hit him. Notice on many of the plays Lloyd NEVER had separation. Be honest in your analysis!
who else is going on a tebow highlight reel after finding out hes getting signed to the pats?
The 3rd pass was actually really good.in through two defenders
Brandon Lloyd is going to do some amazing things this year
Notice on several of these plays there was no separation by the receiver from the defensive back! It THAT Tebows fault. On one play Tebow was blitzed. I remember a Super Bowl a few years ago that constant pressure was put on Tom Brady's league record scoring offense with New England. They only scored 14 points that game and lost!
How can you drop a pass thats not thrown to you??
One of, if not THE worst starting quarterback of all time.
Might not a be a good passer but he was the main reason why the Broncos made the Playoffs last year. Of course People will disagree because they hate Tim Tebow.
I don't know how you hate on a guy who tries to do the right thing all the time. But People hate God so I really don't know what to say to those people.

Scoring points helps the defense 2 touchdowns a game doesn't cut it
Leading league in rushing means nothing if it doesn't end in points
also, 4 out of the last 7 heisman winners are no longer in the NFL.
He's not the worst, why is everyone saying he's bad. He has a unique throwing motion, that doesn't mean he's bad, it looks like a perfect spiral, just his accuracy is not good enough.
The ball at 3:30 was catchable, though it should have been slightly under thrown [and the DB made a nice play on the ball].
Gus Johnson and Steve tasked are so great CBS should put them number two team or tasker should have went to fox with gus
Great catch by Brandon Lloyd should've stayed in fox borough
crazy to actually think that he was so good with God!!!!! I love that athletes are coming out more and talking about God.... I like the twitter account @athleticprayer
0:15 Texans 5-9 WHEN WAS THIS!!!??????? o.O
Notice how it was all 3rd down. It's because they would hand off twice and then try to throw. That's not Tebow's fault
looking at the 3:30 again, it would have been a highlight catch.
But that's what good QB do, make those 3rd and long conversion. That's how u win championships.
Tebow can play ....maybe not start but a backup for sure
Gus Johnson makes great games happen
Watching this and watching Russell Wilson... damn Seahawks got lucky.
he beat Steelers in playoffs.. when did you?
Exactly I thought I was the only one who noticed that every game. no qb can succeed doing that
'thorw up for grabs' still hits Royal in hands.. #1 rule in Fball, if it hit your hands, ya shoulda caught it
Tebow is a good QB, he is just inconsistent. Would sign him as 2nd string and give him time to develop his skills
If he can't throw why r u watching his highlights!
how can this be complete downfield attempt when he rushed for a touchdown before the video even begins?
I thought my Madden 12 game was turned on somehow....
he already was a qb
Tebow has his moments, like that TD he threw right between the corner and safety, but i guess being good 50% of the time just isn't good enough
He had a chance to be a backup. It's a joke he was drafted in the first round.
who the hell said this guy cant play qb in the nfl
this was Tebows first game. he will play much better against miami!
Couldn't of said it better myself.
If Lance ball doesn't drop it in the endzone he's got a 100 yard 2 TD 60 completion % game in the third Quarter not to bad in your first game
Nope, Football never gor my attention till i tried it.I started watching football in the 2011 season. And i picked my houston texans cuz thats my city. This is my 2nd season of football. Im no bandwagon. ALWAYS TEXANS

Qb or not tebow can win games....

This was a fun year. New York killed his career.
It's funny how nobody mentions the pass right on the numbers to ball, bounced off his chest, nobody has any serious footage of tebow playing badly, and if it they do its because he is under a microscope....Brady took a safety in the Super Bowl , if that was tebow in the playoffs he would be done

tebow is awesome he just needs to be developed an he will win quit hating i have seen much worse
it's may have looked like a good throw but it was a really bad read and if it was a decent cb that would've been a pick easily
Ahhhhhhh ya but good QB's dont throw only on third down.....
Tebow has a good arm but his form is just not equipped for the NFL, the NFL moves in a very fast pastes, his throwing mechanics are just to slow, not to take credit away from him....because he has been getting faster with throwing... but he's need to develope a faster release or no team might pick him up next season, oh yea i blame the jets for why Tim played bad, Rex Ryan, MANILY
......Seem like more dropped passes...
People gonna blame Tebow for that?
This guy should be a backup, hands down. It's a joke he's out of a job.
Also, Jacksonville Jaguars dumbest team management ever.
secondly, i, and people of my ilk, DO NOT hate tim tebow. we hate his idiotic fans that thinks he's good when there's NO evidence of him being good. even in the games he won he was HORRIBLE!
u only get one shot and he screwed it up
dude please. even in the games he won he was terrible. he was atrocious. there's nothing about what i've seen that says he's a "good" QB. absolutely nothing. stinking the joint up for 55 minutes and then pulling a win out your ass after your defense and runningback kept you close enough to win is not a sign of a good QB.

HAHAH I like how the announcer said " Tim Tebow look like Boomer Easiason 8:12" Boomer should hear that comment since he is a big time Tebow hater.
"Nice throw" over and over again, like the announcers know they're defending a bad QB.
the haters are out today. Steeler fans perhaps? What makes you an expert? Get better son. Stop listening to lame stream media. Sportsccenter obviously has a grudge against him FOR SOME REASON?
not true. Check your facts. What makes you keep replying to people who have something good to say about Tebow? Get a life, son.
Go broncos
Bottom line is Hes a complete Scrub.
Horrible commentators. Nice game by Tebow though.
He can't throw
Because @Preston, he can't throw worth shit.
LOL H8RS EVERYWHERE HE GO
yeah, tebow sucks....not
Best Qb in history
