Born in the Dominican Republic and later migrated to New York, this student embraced Islam two years ago.
Despite having no prior experience with the language, he embarked on an inspiring journey to learn Arabic. The result is nothing short of remarkable.
In just 61 weeks, he went from zero to fluency in Arabic.

Henceforth I am taking my Arabic classes and studies seriously. I can’t depart from this world without knowing Arabic. I need to understand the book of Allah without anyone translating for me. And I will do it Inshallah.

Im Mexican/Puertorican I speak Spanish,English, Portuguese and a little French I’m teaching myself Amharic since I find it to be very beautiful and mysterious language like Arabic. I’d like to learn Arabic too but after I’m much stronger in the Amharic. I’m meeting strategies from your videos to apply to Amharic learning since Semetic languages are vastly different from Latin languages.

I’ve always wondered about this. How is it that people who learn Arabic as adults have native accents masha’Allah allahuma barik but Arabs that learn English as adults or even as teens or even as kids in their home countries (but by Arab teachers with Arab accents of course not international schools) always have distinct foreign accents no matter how long they have lived in the west. e.g. immigrant Arab parents ALWAYS sound foreign in English. I even went to school with an Arabic speaking guy who moved to the western country I lived in when he was 13 and he still to this day has a foreign accent in English. Why is it that it’s easy to get a native Arabic accent and not a native English one despite living in the west for most of their lives and sometimes from as a young age as 13??
