On this tour they were as good as anyone on the planet on a good night! Loud as shit constant screaming feedback guitars electric as it gets. A fkn vibe
the sound quality is good, yes, but I find Matt as an obnoxious drummer. playing more than necessary. Can't hold shit to Jimmy...No one can, as far as I am concerned.
He did it for the majority of the MCIS era, like for years he did it… but yeah, select songs from the MCIS tours were the height of his screaming… he can still do it, but barely… he is nearing 60 so its understandable, but he was a force not many could match in the 90s.
noones underrating shit. stop using that stupid term. underrated makes no sense. where are the ratings? who decided the ratings arent what they should be? people who liked this music "rated" in a different way than today.. like buying albums, radio listening, going to concerts. those real fans arent on f-ing youtube liking anf clicking, and following or subscribing... so that's why the views and likes are looking low to you. they got highly rated in their on time in their own way. who would it be popular now????
Rebel Friend I don’t know if I’d say way better but to my ears it’s clear who’s the better band. And I love Nirvana. Most people would disagree with us though lol.
Rebel Friend Billy is a better musician than Kurt was for sure. Or at least he was. Wish he’d still write inspired music. That said Kurt was a terrific musician himself. I don’t care that much about technical guitar skill when you write music that is so emotional and awesome and sing with your heart like Kurt did.
No he's not. His left foot has the hi-hat going like a motherf*******. He briefly experimented with the double kick-drum only after he left SP in 09. The elite beefcake drummers rarely use them. They have too much nuance going on. So much double kick-drum usage is just wankery.
Amazing song, full of energy, all smashings are a fucking good...... Ii love this song Ii heard it when I was 19, now I am 35.... and Ii love it more... and more....
man jimmy has been and will always be my favorite drummer ever..so good and soooo much better then what you see in the pumpkins although he is great in the pumpkins lol..
When I got Mellon collie in like 9th grade (I'd say 96 I think?), it quickly became obvious when I got to the second disc that this song would end up with a special place in my heart. Forever. Now at 41 I can say this song (or any of their others) never lost it's edge, it's meaningfulness. Just as good as it was in 1996. Probably better ❤️
Wow. This is really good sound quality for back then. I love this song!! “Love is suicide” was written on my wall as a teen. ❤❤❤ thanks for making my night easier.
I hope they still like playing for us as much as we love them! Fml so good. U can’t touch them.lyrically phenomenal ahead of there time or like nothing of any time. U guys please never quit jamming! 💫☄️
He has a double set up there yes but his left foot mainly on hi hat ' he uses it in porcelena and a few others but mostly as accents never straight runs on pumpkins stuff
billy sacrificing his voice to blast this song out. you were privileged if you got to witness this with the original line up.
I have no clue if I heard this live but damn that’s a good recording.
On this tour they were as good as anyone on the planet on a good night! Loud as shit constant screaming feedback guitars electric as it gets. A fkn vibe
Still remember this very song from Filter/Pumpkins Stockholm ’96. It was a blast! Just before Melvoin OD’d and Chamberlain got sacked…
I can't believe how good the drums sound on this shit recording.
the sound quality is good, yes, but I find Matt as an obnoxious drummer. playing more than necessary. Can't hold shit to Jimmy...No one can, as far as I am concerned.
Jimmy is the man!! the best drummer ever! highly underrated!
Magical Jimmy
Kristopher-Ryan Watson says you 😂
Ya this is Jimmy haha. I cant even see him and I know its him. Because hes the gawd.
One of the most underrated vocal performances ever. He is ripping his larynx to ribbons.
I miss that. He can still do it but not the whole performance.
He did it for the majority of the MCIS era, like for years he did it… but yeah, select songs from the MCIS tours were the height of his screaming… he can still do it, but barely… he is nearing 60 so its understandable, but he was a force not many could match in the 90s.

Jeez, Jimmy is playing on beast mode during this!
jackboot78 He always is.
the drums are fucking fantastic
one of my favourite Smashing Pumpkins song's ever written. Billy has an outrageous voice and it fits just perfectly!
The drums, the screams, the guitars. Perfection
I will die on this hill: Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie era SP is the best rock band of all time.
Rebel Friend I don’t know if I’d say way better but to my ears it’s clear who’s the better band. And I love Nirvana. Most people would disagree with us though lol.

right there with you. 91-96 pumpkins were the most powerful rock band ive ever seen
dont undersell gish though
@@gaving8314 I love Gish and it’s an incredible album but SD and MCIS were era defining.
Dude....The drumming is NAHSTY!
surreal drumming
jimmy showed you don't need a double pedal to be heavy...
Ferooze Ali he's a beast

Word.
@@masterlowsferatu No he's not lmao
I don't know like in previous sets, but in the latest set Jimmy has a double bass pedal. But you are right, in most songs he doesn't use it
Amazing song, full of energy, all smashings are a fucking good...... Ii love this song Ii heard it when I was 19, now I am 35.... and Ii love it more... and more....

'If you say 'always will be' you're assuming that there'll never be a better drummer. That's just illogical' - Jordan Peterson
@@boorhaave5880 a man of honor I see. Jp is my inspiration in life .
This song increases my testosterone and makes me want to break stuff.
Jimmy was a rocktopus!!!
😂😂😂😂
A live recording of a great song from that era, this is special
When I got Mellon collie in like 9th grade (I'd say 96 I think?), it quickly became obvious when I got to the second disc that this song would end up with a special place in my heart. Forever. Now at 41 I can say this song (or any of their others) never lost it's edge, it's meaningfulness. Just as good as it was in 1996. Probably better ❤️
Possibly my fav SP song
my very fave from mellon Collie era! so intense!
Jimmy is insane!
His fuckin vocals omfg 🥰🥰🥰
Jimmy is the Neil Peart of the grunge era.
Except the Pumpkins aren't/weren't grunge. But he 100% is the best from that era.
He was a Fukn machine
Jimmy Chamberlin is drummer god!!!!
I love this, one of my favourite Smashing Pumpkins songs.
Same here
Chamberlin's on fire!
He's always on fire!
This is a rare case of the worse you sing this song, the better it sounds. Such a desperate and self-destructive track.
Smashing Pumpkins was always the band I knew about but never dived into their music. Ive been missing out on some amazing music. Im big fan now tho.
Sound mix is clear AF! thank you uploader
Que barbaridad Chamberlain. Que temazo.
Jimmy is incredible. Wow
Damn this has to be the best live version of this song on video it hits hard
Though they shortened first half by a whole verse XD
Wow. This is really good sound quality for back then. I love this song!! “Love is suicide” was written on my wall as a teen. ❤❤❤ thanks for making my night easier.
Its the live video with the audio from The Aeroplane Flies High on top, thats why it sounds good

We have some idea for one none official video clip !

Me: "This is clearly sped up significantly"
*Billy sings normally while everything continues moving at 200bpm*

This version sounds almost exactly like the studio album version.
