as someone who's been singing rock music and metal for years i want to add that Mark is also a great vocalist and a crooner ! i really love the way he sings, beautiful tone, poerful voice yet not similar to every gritty voice outthere, and a wonderful vibrato !
Mark's talent is ridiculous! Total definition of a rock star, without the ego or attitude. Everything he's done with his solo work and Alter Bridge and Creed have real emotional impact. Fan for life, bro!

This is phenomenal! Mark’s vocals and guitar work are better than ever. I love that the other guitarist is playing Myles’s new signature model too. Mark and Myles solo albums/tours then back to Alter Bridge is the winning formula.
this formula is also what has been watering down the AB project over the last 10 years, making their albums more stale, boring and unmemorable as they go. i used to love and be excited about new music from those guys, now there is not a single go-to song or standout track on the last 3 albums they made, same riffs, same dynamics, same melodies, same rhythms, same live show, no wonder they're never headlining Download like Mark would have wished. they're just a consistent, hard working band which just "exists" but has stopped their growing trajectory 10 years ago.
@@freddylimpster7137 I wish this comment wasn't true, but unfortunately it is. I'll still listen to whatever they put out but Fortress was AB's last good record. The period when it was just Alter Bridge was their golden era. No Creed, no Myles, no Slash, no Tremonti. Just Alter Bridge. Now everyone has solo stuff and Creed is back in the mix. I'm glad they're still doing it and having fun, but it isn't what it used to be.

I know im biased but I gotta disagree with most of yall. Imo every AB album has been great with its own unique sound. I won’t lie: Blackbird - Fortress was peak AB but it’s not like their albums post that timeframe have been bad at least to me. Pawns and kings was fucking awesome I thought. I do understand that certain riffs and melodies may be re-used again by these guys but as much as they write music with multiple projects, it’s a wonder that they haven’t reused riffs a lot more than they barley have

Dude... this song SLAPS. Lmao. I was a little "🤔" on the first listen, but the more I listen to it the more of a banger it is. I think the fact that he's changing time signatures in the verse is throwing some people also. I don't mean to make an assumption about you, I just mean in general.

I'd say I'm one of the biggest fans of Mark Tremonti (at least in my country, Chile), and I've listened to everything, from Creed to Tremonti, I listened to this song as soon as it came out on the Topic channel, and honestly, my first impression left me feeling meh, it reminded me a lot of the Cauterize/Dust album in terms of melody, but it didn't quite hook me completely; it felt uninspired. I've seen the tracklist now, and just from the song titles, I can mention a few that I'm hopeful about, like "Nails", "The Mother, The Earth And I", "The End Will Show Us How", and "Tomorrow We Will Fall", however, it would be very strange for Mark to release a bad album, so overall, I haven't lost the hype, I'll be eagerly waiting for the other songs.
When I read that there will be a song titled "It's Not Over", the first thing I thought of was Daughtry haha, I think that song also smells like a hit, so whether it's a cover or an original, I think it's going to be a good song. They say that "All The Wicked Things" will be the epic song of this album, although the title doesn't really catch my attention, if they say it will be an epic song I believe them.
This feels very safe I find, I hope the rest of the album has more variety. Tremonti to me was always a heavier/more thrashy AB but for the past couple of years (including this single) both bands seem to be merging their sound into one. Tremonti's first two albums are masterpieces.
The main riff has an AiC feel about it.

Diehard Alter Bridge fan here… but everything Tremonti has released through his solo project since 2015 has been significantly better than anything Alter Bridge has released in that same period… Fortress was the last great AB album
