- Float switches are used to detect Water level. I have explained the wiring and in the end also given you a project idea. Hope You will like it!
*This is a Digital sensor not a analog sensor(Acts like a Switch)

Very nicely explained, good video.
I use a PVC pipe as my tank length/depth and within it at approx 25%, 50% and 90% levels I have installed 3 magnetic reed switches which do the level sensing. The inside of the pipe is watertight with the outside being a stronger magnet which is capable of shorting the reeds from out of the PVC pipe too.

It is a very nice clip. Quick question: I have switch, which I took our from a burnt out pump, it has only a plastic tube and a plastic collar that moves up & down. If I want to use it as a level finding device, can i use it

Our issue is we use borewell water for flush etc.
Jan feb se underground water kam hone lagta hai. Abhi float swjtch laga hai. Jiska on off range is say 2 to 3 ft. Jab underground pani kam hota hai to 3 ft tank bhar nahi pati.

So the magnet is in the float? But reed switches will trip when a magnet is close to the actual reed depending on the tolerance.. like most hall magnetic sensors have to be like 8mm fro the reed to trip but some can be as far away as 5 inches sometimes...,
There is a poor magnet(with low magnetic strength) so it needs to be significantly close to reed switch.(around 4-5mm)
The distance you're talking about, it all depends on strength of Magnet, both hall effect module and reed switch will work.

hassina Aly this device doesn’t detect or display water level, it only a switch, it turns the device either on or off depending how you have it installed

@@sushilmachad not with the one I have which is similar to the one on this video, it’s your basic cheap switch, it’s not designed to be adjusted, although u probably can add a plastic washer so that the float does not drop all the way.

It depends on type of material used. But in my opinion steel has long life relatively....
But steel ones are expensive too

Ab jaise pani use hua tank level 3 inch 4 inch niche gaya ki turant pump on ho jaye. Taki 4 inch level ke liye jyada pani nahi lagega. Motor pani khich lega aur tank bhara rahega

How Can we adjust water ON ..OFF in same controller..?
That's called basic programming! Ask something relevant...
Either use a software based system where you can program one lower switch as lower limit (this turns off = water level below a certain level say 20% = turn on relay for pump) and one upper limit switch (ideally to 90% of tank capacity = maximum safety before overflow, this switch gets turned on when water level reaches this limit = program relay to be turned off)
Or you can also use transistors with appropriate Gate signals for turning on and off.

Yes. Zaroor ho sakta hei. Niche wali sensor btayegi kii paani kam ho chuki hei ab pump on karo. Oopar wali sensor bolegi kii paani bhar chuki hei ab off karo.
