Just read a bunch of negative comments. He's actually a great musician, and could probably make similar stuff ITB. His records sound good. Who cares if he collects stuff.
I love his remix of S.Tellier, it is an amazing artist with great talent and I admire that in an artist, a recognizable sound (sorry for the mistakes, I'm french ;) )
ive got the rack mount version of that DDD-1 but no remote and i cant route or tune it :( but i still LOVE the sounds. sweeet studio! i think ive seen it in my dreams before...
GOOD LORD! that's a ton of stuff for one room. This is exactly why no matter how much money i start making as an artist i won't buy anything else other than what i have. Although VST's are important.
Well, the reason you get acoustical treatment is mostly because of monitoring. Seriously, just a few bass chunks and traps, can make you hear details you never heard before and improve you mixes MASSIVELY. You can have as much gear and synths in the world but, if you can't mix them in properly, or hear exactly what you're doing, whats the point of having them?
@25'14 "Gibson are too expansive so i have a copy" dude you have 3000€ of gears collecting dust on the shelf what are you talking about?? awesome studio tour anyway
Don't be jealous ! I'm a sick gear hoarder and it's not always easy... Pick your two or three favorites and with work and patience, they'll be yours ! (insert Wayne's World clip here)
Have you seen the In the studio with Steve Angello? He is even younger than Aeroplane in that video, and he has got a million euro studio! The monitors alone costs minimum 100.000 Euroes!
I doubt he cares. The gear often serves an artist as inspiration for creativity. Analog synths, like vinyl have a je ne sais quois factor that you can't recreate with software.
A tuner for the analog synths? First time I seen that in 35 years of working with em, but not a bad idea actually for those with less than ideal perfect relative pitch :)
Hi Thank you for the video, although I would suggest that the video should be focusing more on the hardware, instead of the guy that is showing the studio. :)
This is weird. At one point in the video he mentions Daft Punk's "Face to Face", so while the video was still playing I went to youtube's search bar and entered 'd' as I was going to type "Daft Punk Face To Face", but youtube already predicted it for me. If I go to other videos and do the same procedure it doesn't come up at all, unless I start typing the full title.
BrickBucketFilms you know what else is weird, i was talking about star wars and mon calimari cruisers from star wars with my phone on the table, i picked it up and typed in "mon" in google, and what do you know "mon calamari cruisers" was the first suggestion........... listening to my phones mic? maybe...... very sus
i can make beats and write songs compose all day but when it comes to technical stuff.... aside from reverb n basic stuff im lost... anyone recommend any mixing classes?
James Taylor hey i actually have been watching his stuff lately too, im in to all kinds of music but yea helpful I am thinking of grabbing his lessons cant go wrong for a 100$
You do realize that Mozart was paid to compose his operas, right? I mean money was and still is a great motivator for everyone involved in the music industry. I'm not saying that you can't have fun by yourself, but in the end, money talks, even through art.
You know, I took a good listen to the "we can't fly" album and it's actually good, the title track was weak, based on that, I jumped to a wrong conclusion. Good stuff.
It is refreshing when someone really knows their gear, but doesn't try to talk over anyone's head about it :)
Really interesting video. Crazy collection of gear. Thanks for sharing
this studio is full of literally everything you would ever want !!! wtf its synth heaven
whoever is on the video camera is really killing it....
Just read a bunch of negative comments. He's actually a great musician, and could probably make similar stuff ITB. His records sound good. Who cares if he collects stuff.
Thank you ! I actually can make stuff that's really close ITB. But as you mentioned I have a collecting problem.
Vito De Luca Thanks for taking the time to reply Vito. Keep up the good work! Been a fan since Pacific air race 12"
Shiiite Camera Work and production as usual FM Music
I love his synth collection. he's a cool artist.
"here we have a tambourine... really specific" haha! awesome collection
That's sick, I have the big virus and I didn't know you could layer 16 sounds !!! Dope
Since he doesn't use the Focusrite, let him know to ship to me. Ill put it to great use. Seriously.
So envious of this guy's gear!
Amazing studio Vito! Fantastic collection.
Really nice and professional artist! Good luck and greetings from Germany!
I love his remix of S.Tellier, it is an amazing artist with great talent and I admire that in an artist, a recognizable sound (sorry for the mistakes, I'm french ;) )
old school sample libraries thats what they used to use in old samplers before built in memory was large enough to hold it
I read about the "Red Square" semi-modular back in "Future Music" Magazine years ago. I always wanted one! it's cool if I see one🎹🎧💫😵👍
Nice variety of synths!
The Roland JP8000 also has Glide/Portamento for Chords I think...
Listen to his music then you know why he can afford all his gear :)
Sick studio
Over the top!
Beautiful studio bro!!!
Ain't no such thing as "Producer/Writer Block" in a museum like this!
Really nice studio actually )
Thank you !
Buy the issue this is a seperate video of him showing the studio. There's an 'In The Studio' as well.
ive got the rack mount version of that DDD-1 but no remote and i cant route or tune it :( but i still LOVE the sounds. sweeet studio! i think ive seen it in my dreams before...
Why hate, apreciate 👍 Great studio, really great 😎 One day i will hsve my dream studio aswell 🙏❤
Nice studio but can't help but wonder why he doesn't tune his synths through his DAW audio tuner. Must have wanted another rack 😊
just the cables he has cost more then my current setup :-)
that rack where he keeps te loose stuff has an 808 and a 707 on it. damn.
cause they're whack
His electricity bill must be ridiculous.
YEP.
At last a real studio with hard ware that in the right hands will give much better quality mix . Very nice indeed.
Couldn't he just crank the resonance on the minitaur and use that as a sine wave? Or is there no filter keyboard control on the minitaur?
What's does this guy's music sound like? Which album should I start with?
Jelouse people in here! Lolll
This dude has an Odyssey and a Octave Kitten......Nice
Good acoustics are not just for recordings, they effect everything played back in the room.
aeroplane is the BALLS
Will do.
plus you can get credit on big purchases like the desk...
it is!
Can't describe it in words, just listen to his album "We Can't Fly"
kleptomaniac! :)
Maybe to compensate for late suckiness? Or been to wars and too noid to gave up relics/hoarding sand?
... and in the end people listen to all of this on iPod's earbuds.
GOOD LORD! that's a ton of stuff for one room. This is exactly why no matter how much money i start making as an artist i won't buy anything else other than what i have. Although VST's are important.
Marvin Evolution lol, dumbass, enjoy ur thin software Rubbish
I will thank you :)

if he had the sp-1200 on a higher rack maybe he could get more use out of it. It's a hands on beast.
OMFGOD one day...
@25'14 "Gibson are too expansive so i have a copy" dude you have 3000€ of gears collecting dust on the shelf what are you talking about?? awesome studio tour anyway
By now that OB DMX drum machine alone is worth that.
damn, how do ppl acquire this much equipment??
So...many....great...syyynths ! I'm jalous :p
Don't be jealous ! I'm a sick gear hoarder and it's not always easy... Pick your two or three favorites and with work and patience, they'll be yours ! (insert Wayne's World clip here)
Hey, soulwax here. We want our Teisco back! K, thnx
It's simply a tour of his studio!
Have you seen the In the studio with Steve Angello? He is even younger than Aeroplane in that video, and he has got a million euro studio! The monitors alone costs minimum 100.000 Euroes!
Nice studio, but what's with all the floppy discs???
i know, is hard to believe, but his booking fee is around 3,000 USD, he plays 2-3 times per week, so...
Racks beneath the console = ergonomic nightmare. How can he even make adjustments without hearing from the monitors?
I doubt he cares. The gear often serves an artist as inspiration for creativity. Analog synths, like vinyl have a je ne sais quois factor that you can't recreate with software.
dude nice studio.. never heard your music before? all that gear why are n t you ?
When i saw that 808 standing arround...
i like to hear the synths
This is the last one of these i watch. Let's talk about all these tasty synths but don't think you're going to hear them...
And the music please?
;)
swaggg
A tuner for the analog synths? First time I seen that in 35 years of working with em, but not a bad idea actually for those with less than ideal perfect relative pitch :)
I took it and run :D
He drops of on the acoustical treatment.
Hi Thank you for the video, although I would suggest that the video should be focusing more on the hardware, instead of the guy that is showing the studio. :)
I would imagine very little is being recorded acoustically.
how do know this guy so much about vintage synths? he looks like 17 years old.
"I've got all these really valuable / great / rare / synths and they didn't cost me anything ('cause I'm so smart)."
This is weird. At one point in the video he mentions Daft Punk's "Face to Face", so while the video was still playing I went to youtube's search bar and entered 'd' as I was going to type "Daft Punk Face To Face", but youtube already predicted it for me. If I go to other videos and do the same procedure it doesn't come up at all, unless I start typing the full title.
yikes
BrickBucketFilms you know what else is weird, i was talking about star wars and mon calimari cruisers from star wars with my phone on the table, i picked it up and typed in "mon" in google, and what do you know "mon calamari cruisers" was the first suggestion........... listening to my phones mic? maybe...... very sus
I don't mean this in a bad way, but he looks as he's just walked into Top Shop and said can I buy your "hipster uniform please".
not studio but synth museum
Not one press of a key through the whole video ????? Come on FM, it would be nice to actually hear some of the kit in the future :)
How much money you make with your studio? :))
f*****ck!! amazing studio ! little jealous haha
how can one afford these when ≤30 yo ?!
I want to know how some of these guys afford all this stuff?? Visa??
Top comment na gringa hein Felippe?? kkkkkkkkkk Sucesso ae chará.
i can make beats and write songs compose all day but when it comes to technical stuff.... aside from reverb n basic stuff im lost... anyone recommend any mixing classes?
I found the guy over at recordingrevolution.com to be helpful, and really positive. He may not be your sound though.
James Taylor hey i actually have been watching his stuff lately too, im in to all kinds of music but yea helpful I am thinking of grabbing his lessons cant go wrong for a 100$
Have he won in Lottery ?
Incredible studio, but why not splurge for real acoustic treatments over foam?
You do realize that Mozart was paid to compose his operas, right? I mean money was and still is a great motivator for everyone involved in the music industry. I'm not saying that you can't have fun by yourself, but in the end, money talks, even through art.
It wasn't the ASR it was sp1200 on 'intro'
its also asr-10, fred falke played bass into it
you can make quite a lot of money DJing...(of course you have to make great tunes and be good at DJing...)...maybe 5k per gig - 2-4 gigs per week?
yeah thats steve angello i think he has the means even though its not making his music any batter
So basically, look at how much gear I got, unfortunately I hardly use any of it
Woow
monster
That means the focus rite is his secret weapon. Ha.
he has everything?
This is why musicians shouldn't record their own stuff, how can you not use that ISA? amazing piece!
I didn't really use it because I had 16 API preamps. Didn't have much use for the ISA. I used it before moving to that studio though.
And he listens to it in a room with foam on the walls...
your a fckin music genius dude
Amen to that electric bill. Otherwise dope ass stu .
You know, I took a good listen to the "we can't fly" album and it's actually good, the title track was weak, based on that, I jumped to a wrong conclusion. Good stuff.
Interesting how he glosses over his redundant KRK sub.
...and he was 23 at that time!
