To be fair, Martin Garrix style fits todays EDM scene while this is more old school and not as popular. Both have their own challenges and the styles of music creation is totally different.
chambraedits Also to be fair, new stuff like dubstep and rap is SHYTE... and Wisternoff actually had musical abilities whereas new school just play farty noises and call it music.
Great idea for a video series! After everyone complaining about the studio tours that they never show you how the gear actually SOUNDS... this studio jam series should be a regular thing, great stuff!
Holly fuck! How fucked up can people be here? People that can't do half the shit he is doing and arguing about he has too much gear or that it sounds too 90s... WTF? Where does this come from? The guy takes 25 minutes to show what can be done that may interests some people and there is all this massive hate...Unbelievable....
Excellent musicmaker! He knows how to make a good track! The sound of the Prophet 5 through a noisegate is awesome! I'm gonna try the same thing! Inspiring video!
Man, this is cool to watch! There's something about the hands-on physical work involved with this that just grabs me, like watching a really good looper at work, or like Rheyne when he's really hitting it! Nice....
good tip on the SH-101 playing the rests live. i've always have had to plan it out in my head and imagine the sequence sped up while the sync is stopped. that just saved me some time. thanks jody!
Bruvy, thank you so much for this treat. It’s like watching a skateboard vid to get inspired before you go tearing through the streets . I’m certainly inspired and have always really appreciated your works. I’ll see you in Miami on the 24th of May... less than a week. Cheers, you heady cat! One love👊🏻
This ladies and gentlemen, is why we all still love hardware, despite what software also brings to the table. It's just so much more fun than just using your mouse.
EXCELLENT. Thank you FM and Big thanks to Jody for being thorough at the end, esp with the hw trigger and gating info. Would purchase a web sub for something like this on the regular. Thanks again!
Jody has been doing this since the early 90's (check out Tru Funk - 4am). He's a god damn Pioneer. Nowadays, these kids are doing everything from a laptop and calling themselves musicians when in actual fact, they're glorified button-pushers and preset masters 😆 Now granted, I do a lot of work from my MacBook Pro too, however I'm a trained musician and I still play everything out on the keys as opposed to clicking, dragging and preset sifting.
How can I get this track ready from minute 9:51 already advanced with all the sounds added, is there this musical track already finished? Whoever has it, give me the name or the link
This guy...!! And some Martin Garrix has somewhat half a million views with his FL tapping.. There's no justice in this world.
im entirely with you bro

truthseekers666 That is subjctive, if your are gonna argue like that then we have nothing to talk about.
Completly agree with chambraedits here.
A proper jedi... no fumbling. Great to see a master at work.
Wow.. I'm impressed. Really cool vibe going on.
24:20 - you can program rests into the ProOne by toggling the RECORD switch while inputting the notes into the sequencer.
House has evolved in many ways over the years but I love the way Jody has stuck to the original roots with that raw, early, analogue sound :)
Wow, This guys studio is a classic original machine museum.
Brilliant video by a top producer. Very inspiring!

Great series! And the completely underrated Jody always delivers.
Jody is the man. Makes me what to take out all my stuff and set it back up, if only there were time!

Hardest working dude I've ever seen in a studio. He's sweatin' like he just ran the 5k.
The man is a genius
Interesting to see how this legendary Way Out West sound was made 🙂
greatest hardware-- a creative mind
un maestro controlando todo ese arsenal de instrumentos musicales analogicos y digitales.
Oh God i Love when you play the Jupiter 8! Damn, that is special sounding and lets not forget the Prophet 5 ❤🥇😎🎶❤
Absolutely intelligent !!!!
That's exactly how Detroit and Chicago house was made on the late 80 early 90's. Way before DAW's were around. Analog was the stepping stone.

Nice studio, he's got all the synth gems everyone wants. I could do with just the Macbeth :-)
