@@UltimateDIY she was just saying thanks, already assuming u would not understand her i got the same problem tonight and was looking for a solution, will try the tip u gave, thanks from me too
Changed my alloys and now several lights are appearing on dash including the steering light ,abs, and tyre fault they go away and come back do u know what is causing these lights?
@@UltimateDIY had a 2011 Passat cc GT I upgraded to a 2014 Passat cc GT with only 40k miles I took the alloys of my 2011 and put on 2014 there both 18”
Yes, but the other dimensions are correct? The ET and the diameter of the tyre must be correct for the new car. For example, I know that between Audi A4 B7 and Audi A4 B8 the weels are not interchangeable.
@@UltimateDIY I’m not sure never had no problems on my 11 Passat with them as soon as I put them on my 14 Passat there’s a tyre pressure fault , abs , steering , and brake fault both Passat’s are the GT model
No, it does not "lock" it. You can't move it at all, or it is just really hard to move it? Either your power steering is being disabled because of some failure, or you antitheft locking is engaging when it sould not.
@@UltimateDIY I recently got my alarm done on the car now that you say that ? Help ? I have the light on when I turn on my car but not on for a while last time the steering wheel did feel a bit harsh
I disconnected the battery a week ago to recharge it and noticed this warning today, only that if I turn off the engine and start again, the light is gone. I thought it happens if I leave the car idle over night. going to try tomorrow the trick with the steering wheel turning. It's a Vw polo.
I have the same pile of shit car in this video, car was on ramp, after oil change, started the car the same yellow steering light came on, did same thing as in this video, my mechanic knew this trick but the steering light went red, was told steering rack is no good, need new one 😮

That is weird. Did you do semething else to the car? The weels and tyres that you put are the correct size for your car?

Ok. That is what I think the problem is, unsupported size. Try to do some online searching and see.
Happened with my Skoda Rapid today and turning ignition off/on helped.
Great 👍🏻
Does the light warning actually lock your wheel? I have a vw jetta & my wheel locks & unlocks through out the day.. most annoying thing ever!
No, it does not "lock" it. You can't move it at all, or it is just really hard to move it?

I think it will fix itself if the warning is gone.
Thanks it’s working
You're welcome!
Cool, mine went away after a few seconds of driving. :)
Perfect :)
but how is the steering wheel turning easily?
On my car? Probably assisted steering was still working. Depends of the car and situation if it's working or not when you get this error.

It's a Vw polo.
It should work 👍🏻
I don’t have a skoda but thanks
Thank you for watching!
How to solve red light warning
I don't know.

Weird.
