- K2 Base Camp & Concordia is considered to be one of the world’s great treks with breathtaking scenery unsurpassed anywhere else in the high mountains.

Some tip and tricks:
1. Travel light as much as possible.
2. Your day bag should not weigh more than 7-8 kilograms.
3. Use good sunscreen even if it's cloudy.
4. Stay hydrated, Oral Re-hydration Salt (ORS) is your best friend during trek.
5. Keep your pace as low as possible, no need to run because it's not a race. take short breaks and enjoy the views around you.
7. To avoid blisters on your feet and toes, wear two set of socks one light liner and another woolen.
8. Don't avoid food and water. You need energy to for such long hikes.
9. Sleep early at night, for stargazing you'll have nights before rest days.
10. Guides and porters are always there to help you, be kind to them. They know more about trek therefore follow their instructions. Ask questions regarding each day plan.
11. Stay on the designated path specially on glacier, if you are off the track wait for porters or guides and follow their lead.
12. Most important one "Don't litter on the trek".
What I packed for this trek:

Duck Down jacket 600 grams
Light windbreaker
Three hiking t-shirts, short-sleeve, non-cotton
One pair of thermal/inner wear
Three light hiking pants (at least one waterproof)
One warm trouser for sleeping
Flip flop or Sandals
Three pair of thick hiking socks woolen
Three pair of thin hiking liners
One shade hat
One woolen cap
One Buff or scarf
One light or liner gloves
Two hiking boots, (at least one waterproof)
Three underwears
One Raincoat
One running shorts
Gaiters

Two backpacks (one day bag 25-30 litres, one for main luggage 50-60 litres) with raincovers
Headlamp
One or two hiking stick
Duck tape wrapped around hiking stick
Two water bottles
Sunglasses, 100 UV polarized (one)
Sleeping bag -30 C
Sleeping mattress
Light trekking towel
Toiletries:
Sunscreen, SPF 50+

I have watched every possible K2 video on TH-cam. This video, is my favorite. I loved the sound effects and some of the shots were so well done. But what I loved most all is this video has more actual useable info than any other. I can’t believe YT took a week to recommend this to me. It really made me rethink some things. Can you tell me what month it was that you did the trek?

I went in mid of June this year. But the best time is in between july to (early to mid) September. I have shared the link of travel group (North paradise pakistan) i n caption. I would recommend asking them as well, they'll guide you the best.
iamkhandanish well I guess that is good on timing for us. We start the trek in a couple days. That said we are already booked with a company but as always there is never too much info for this type of experience.
How many rest/acclimatization days did you end up taking? So if the weather was better you had planned on crossing over Gondogoro La?

@@WheretheJones we didn't take any rest days till Concordia and everyday reached campsite early evening so almost had 10-12 hours at campsite plus the average altitude gain was around 150-200 each day. One of my friend with asthma had no issues what so ever on the trek, which was surprising.
Usually there is rest day at Paiju after 2 days of trek. And another at Concordia.
We had gondogoro la in our plan but weather wasn't good, too much snow and ropes weren't fixed either.
You might have breathing issues on gondogoro rest of the trek was perfect ✌🏼

Yes it's not easy task and when you go there for work not just fun. I did training for a four-five weeks before heading there. Do it when you have a chance totally worth it.
