Going to be honest here, there is a reason they're called "Night Furies", sure, it's a cool concept to have all these different colored dragons, but their breed of dragon was supposed to be adapted to be nocturnal predators... If SoD makes it an option to have personally colored Night furies i'm going to lose hope with that game
It really doesn't matter if you want a black night fury keep it black not everyone has the same idea as you
i kinda think it would be nice to at least change the night fury/toothless's tail, with the different designs and all, and maybe if it's a wild night-fury, not that but instead eye color, could even have mismatched eyes, and also maybe custom fire colors. Just a few ideas if they make sure the night-fury stays black.

I think it would be cool, you could have so many possibilities. There are tons of night fury OC's who don't look like toothless, if you're not happy with that just change the eye colour.

Sorry guys, but it's not a night fury egg :/ It's the egg of the levithan. This expansion comes before Secret of The Levithan, I wish they had mentioned that because my hopes were up and were shattered after I figured it out.

I have finished this expansion myself and I can confirm Silver added the Night Fury sound since when the egg hatched on my game it just made the hatching sounds

, well.. it could be a new dragon species or a bewilder beast...why bewilder beast you ask? the size and colour, its color looks like an icey blue color and its size would most definetly fit a baby bewilderbeast

1. The night fury would be exclusive to this pack.
2. Why do the creators want you to get a Night Fury and not get 3 month membership for Toothless
3. No one would care about toothless
4. TOOTHLESS IS THE ONLY NIGHT FURY IN THE SHOWS AND MOVIES SO WHY WOULD THEY ADD IT TO A GAME BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE?
+Blazewing The Inferno Dragon That is exactly what I thought. It is a pretty massive egg and the colors make it look like some sort of carving made from a piece of Glacier, and there are only two known Bewilderbeasts in the franchise. Valka's and Drago's. But Valka's Bewilderbeast died and Drago's Bewilderbeast is.. Well.. Evil and dissapeared into the sea. So it would make sense for it to be a Bewilderbeast considering all of those facts

But, i have no idea how we will use the bewilder beast xD. maybe for sea transport? OR! you can make your own sanctuary with your bewilder beast by finding a wild rock structure.. this could be cool for another home instead of your home in the edge.. its like all in 1.. you have a hatchery, stables, farms and a house... its probably impossible but think about it.. Having your own bewilderbeast and having your own dragon den/sanctuary... that would be cool

Okey I'm leaving my theory here:
I guess it's a nightfury egg, appart from the sounds it makes when it hatches it's very likely since Toothless is known for being the last of its kind, so it would actually change everything.
In addition, the movie franchise is in part about how Hiccup and Toothless find another nightfury to save the species, that makes it very possible that we'll see another nightfury on the thrid movie, because it's going to be the last one, or at least that's what was announced. The trailer for that movie is coming out soon, the movie release is planned to be in late 2017 or 2018. If the trailer actually teases us with the nightfury discovery it would make a pretty good point with this supposed nightfury egg, it even could make for a whole new expansion pack based on what we see on the trailer! We'll just have to wait to find out the truth but that is what I think.

Everyone's saying Night Fury but I'm saying that it's a Seashocker, I'm telling ya.
About the Night Fury, a dragon solely known for its stealth and speed. What I don't understand is why should its egg be all neon blue? Shouldn't it be a darker colour, to hide its egg from predators? Hmmm. Well if you think about it, maybe that's why they're a critically endangered species.
Bewilderbeast? Maybe. Not sure. Looks a little small, don't you think?
I'm leaning to the Seashocker here. Maybe we're going to get an Underwater based expansion pack soon. Plus that charcoal re-breather we have from the latest expansion can be modified into a scuba gear.
But hey, don't take my seriously. It's just a theory. A Game Theory!

I doubt it will be the dragon you mentioned... Simply because... Why would it change everything...? It doesn't... For it to change everything it would have to be either something very special... Or very big... But considering the size of it I doubt it will be something as big as a bewilder beast. Also as to the color... It is the same color as toothless' blasts... And his scales color as an alpha. So... It could be a night fury, which would change everything because... Well.. Everyone thought they were extinct with the exception made of toothless.
If it is a underwater dragon, i hope it is a new dragon. And have you ever wondered if you could mate 2 different dragons like dogs and get a new breed?
The egg isn't actually a night furys. In the next expansion it talks about Harald's *STOLEN* egg. The egg was mentioned by hiccup in secret of the leviathan. "Remember that egg we found?" Yes the hatching sounded like a night fury, but in the release notes it says Harald's stolen egg.

In the finale of Dreamworks Dragons Race To The Edge you can see a Bewilderbeast egg.
It's completely different, the egg is white like the bewilderbeasts skin and has red spikes coming out of it.

It could be a Night Fury egg, but I think this has been a mystery for two years now is I think because the game makers wait until HTTYD 3 gets released.
Edit: now that I've seen a trailer this might be an egg of Toothless and the Light fury, or a Light fury egg.
Sadly, the director confirmed that Toothless is the last living Night Fury. Anyway in that part of the world.

But I mean a Night Fury isn't just black or blue. When you watch the episodes you can see pieces which are dark blue. And the dragon egg doesn't have to be in the same colour as the dragon ;)
Kim Hofferson good point but if the egg JUST hatched and there is no nightfurys left they can't mate so what it would have to be nightfury is 1.) there were other nightfurys or 2.) a nightfury egg takes a LONG time to hatch 3.) that egg is a hybrid of a nightfury and some other dragon (which makes no sense but we're talking about SoD here...)

I don’t think it’s a night fury bc in the game after everybody saves up gems or buys some the dragons” starter dragons” will not be a thing and all that will be left is a night fury and on the server it would be a bit more common to see a night fury than a gronckle or a monstrous nightmare, and the power of a night fury would be overused and trust me, it’s better to be a unique trainer. MY OPINION

I agree. Toothless is a night fury and he is basically the main dragon. I see so many black colored sand wraiths flying around. Anyone would take a chance to get a night fury egg.

The light fury eggs are shown in the httyd 3, when they enter the hidden world, the light fury eggs are those yellow-gold-orange with little dragons inside. It’s like a sorta see through egg coloured gold-yellow-orange.

It may be that dragon from the scribblers story in the new game or it may be the egg of valkAs dead be wilderbeast! I miss him....
I think there is a night fury in there because since Hiccup said this changes everything.That is a clue to what is in the egg.And what ever is in the egg is really important.

-{•Eris Flyfire Channel•}- when you pick your egg in the beginning they are all the same size, and they used to be able to get a nightfury egg in the older days. The egg was round and blue. I don’t fully remember the egg but perhaps they might bring back the population of the night fury. I’m excited for the second part though!

I think it's a night fury because Toothless was the only non-generic dragon that helped the Green Death. When I say generic I mean Deadly Nadders, Monstrous Nightmares, Gronkles and Hideous Ziplebacks.

I finished this quest , return to dragon island, and then herald forkbeard took it with him and escaped, since then I haven't seen him since it annoying, if he has a night fury, I will track him down and take it. It's definitely a night fury egg because that roar is unmistakable as it's the same as toothless' roar. It changes everything because toothless was the last night fury so without other night furies toothless can't have babies. And now with a new night fury egg (as long as it's a female) they can breed so there can be enough eggs for normal players to ride. If not that then the next expansion pack will be trying to discover where the egg came from because that's where the Night Furies live (if there are any) and maybe they're concerned that Harald's men found the island before they did

But the egg of a bewilderbeast is whithe with red spikes and it looks like an oval not round shaped, and more importantly the bewilderbeast egg doesn't glow. And also don't you think the color was similar to alpha toothles glow?
