On episode 31, we had an inspiring chat with Michelle Thaow Vue, a dedicated Mother who has returned to study. She is now working for the Department of Human Services.
"My name is Michelle Thaow I'm 40 years old, I am a mother of 9 children. I'm proud to say I am hmong.
I grew up in Tasmania with no dream of becoming anything only to get married before 18, a silly way of thinking back then but sadly it was true. As a young mother i didn't have a chance to go on and study until my kids were a lot older.
Since having children I have studied a diploma of accounting and furthered my knowledge to fulfil my career pathway I am on today.
Right now I would say to others that though we start small and come with nothing if we are willing to commit, motivate and push on we can achieve anything our hearts desire, go for it today to not regret in the future"
