I remember being happy at all stages of guitar advancement. There are always regrets about selling some, and sometimes some regrets about purchases for various reasons. But contentment is a great place to be, and difficult place to stay in.
Your channel is such a breath of fresh air! I love God and I love guitars. lol. I play in a bar band but hope to play in a worship team one day. Your channel has gotten me closer to making that step.
This is late but while I'm here, I see the Duesenberg Starplayer TV on the wall. I have same but in blue sparkle. It is a fantastic guitar for Worship, especially the clarity and punch you get from the Grand Vintage HB. My newest main squeeze, is a Novo Serus J, that I waited 9 months to get. I had Lollar Mini HBs put in it. It does not disappoint! Both of those are on the pricier side. I've also played Epiphones and MIJ Fenders at church as well. Part of the joy of guitar hunting, is finding the lower priced guitars that a really solid players.
I entered to see their feedback of the Starplayer specifically the HB (I tried one and fell in love but I mainly focused on the P-90). I was on vacations so I’m not going to be able to try another one and your feedback has being very helpful. I have one on cart and I still thinking about it.
Mexi Strat was my first electric, Yamaha APX was my first acoustic, I paid about $500 and $300 respectively. I bought them each at a time when my worship team needed someone on that specific guitar role and I couldn’t afford to break the bank (youth groups, campus ministries and what not). I LOVE both of those guitars, and even though I’ve upgraded since then, I find myself going back to them quite a bit.
Best guitar I ever bought - a used American Fender Telecaster. Oh, it never disappoints. I recently picked up a Gretsch G5439 in silver sparkle and was all pumped because Bradford had the upper end Gretsch in silver sparkle...a couple videos ago, I swear Bradford said he sold it. :(
There’s something to the attention someone pays to building the guitar. I’ve built three guitars using Warmoth parts that rival most custom shop Fenders for about half the price with the assistance of a luthier friend.
I agree with MIM Fender guitars. I have a tele, swapped out all the guts of it. I like it a lot. From my understanding Mexican fender bodies are made in the US. But I’m still leaning towards a Gibson les Paul. Always will, unless I get a firebird V
Just ordered a new custom OM-O3 larrivee vintage sunburst. They do endorsements for worship artists! amazing guitars. will go great along with my Jumbo larrivee;
I've got a "mutt" collection. I've got my first guitar which is an '07-'08 Start thats had mods done, Squire Classic Vibe Tele and Jag, heavily modded Epi Les Paul Special II, custom tele, and a 2013 Gibson LP Swirl. I've found that the cheaper price of Squire and Epiphone is still a high quality guitar.
I started with a Squier Strat Pack when I was 15, one year later I bought an Epiphone LP Custom. I got rid of the Strat shortly after, but I'm never going to sell that LP.
You guys should check out EBMM cutlass, stingrays, or valentines My best friend and I play them on the worship teams we are on.. I honestly think they’re better than any PRS I’ve played
At the end of the day, a cheap guitar with expensive parts is just a cheap guitar with expensive parts. Having gone down that route, I wholeheartedly recommend buying a nicer guitar instead. I'm sure there are exceptions (ahem, Eddie Van Halen), but these days you can buy a whole lotta guitar for $500 to $800.
Brian & Bradford, do you guys find that the guitars with a bigsby so close to the bridge have a more difficult time staying in tune while you're playing and using the whammy bar? You mentioned replacing the nut on that epiphone, did that fix any issues?
Lucas poppe yeah replacing the nut helps. There’s a lot that factors in to making a bigsby work well. The bridge plays a part as well. If there’s too much friction strings will get stuck and slip and that’s when they go out of tune. If it’s smooth then they will give you that wonderful warble from the bigsby and retain their tuning. Tho replacing strings regularly is also important. They get work out and loose their rigidity and won’t hold tune then either.
You guys don't have to explain to anyone the reason why you purchased a guitar worth X amount of dollars. Who cares what the comments say. At the end of the day, you are helping people get closer to God. Would a professional mechanic use tools from Wal-Mart? Would a carpenter use Black and Decker? Possibly, however, he would much prefer to use professional grade equipment because it would make his job easier and more reliable. Same here.
@@bmitchellmusic No problem man, don't get too worked up over the comments though... a lot of that is hate haha or the devil trying to discourage you (one or the other). I been away from god for a while but this channel has really struck my interest in getting back into a church and closer to god.
Next video in this series: Brian and Bradford’s wives give their side of the story...
I genuinely love when y’all talked about having the right heart and being content with what you have, it truly speaks volumes, Jesus loves you!

Need to redo this!
Good idea!
THIS IS THE CONTENT I DO NOT NEED RIGHT NOW WITH TAX RETURNS COMING IN
I feel you 😂
I recently bought a Taylor T5Z. For me, this is the ultimate worship guitar.

You guys should do another video like this with all the current guitars you’ve been getting!

Virginia whoop whoop! I’m a youth pastor in Suffolk, and I used to work in Chesapeake!
First electric was a Yamaha Pacifica strat. Great tone. Still got it too.

Love y’all! Great video

🤷🏻♂️😂
Have a listen at 0:04 😉🤣
Glad i was not the only one who thought i heard that!!
@@professionalprocrastinator8182 oh my gosh it does!!!!

Three years later....time to do another video!
I started with a Squier Strat Pack when I was 15, one year later I bought an Epiphone LP Custom. I got rid of the Strat shortly after, but I'm never going to sell that LP.
So many Guiters,,,, love themm
My first electric was a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom Wine Red with gold hardware. It was a MEAT EATER! Unfortunately I don't have it any more :-(
Gibson les Paul’s are amazing!
Love partscasters. They have more soul!
You guys should check out EBMM cutlass, stingrays, or valentines
My best friend and I play them on the worship teams we are on.. I honestly think they’re better than any PRS I’ve played
My first guitar 1937 Gibson L-00 still have it but she has been retired
How do you guys feel about vintage instruments?
Vintage made in Japan stuff is awesome and dirt cheap.
I encourage you to study that and start looking...you'll be amazed!!
I love you guys video, but please make more Helix Stomp demo!
What are your thoughts on using a Flying V or a Firebird for worship? I currently use a Les paul and a Casino.
The interruptions 🤣
Are you going to post the tutorial for the electric guitar part for Hosanna?
The 3:10 mark describes me to a T. Yall aren’t Enneagram type 7’s are ya? 😂
Will there ever be a Brian Wahl Guitars?
Probably never. That’s a crowded market.
Ooo hey from nicagua
The website didn’t come up i wanted to buy a mug :/
Have you tried Veritas guitar?

“ANYWAYS, guitars are neat”
No timestamps? Really need some before committing to an hour+, especially after all the tangents and slow start. Sorry guys 😜
God is a god of increase 🤷🏼♂️ make sense that His people would increase
Hey Bryan, I gotta say that you gave me the idea to put a Bigsby on my Epiphone. You changed the nut, was that bcos it was not keeping tune?
Jacob Lim correct.

Hey guys. I was wondering if either of you have happen to have tried a Harley benton sc 550 or other HBs ?
Haven't tried a Harley Benton, no. Sorry!
I feel like I can't show up with a squire, tagima or epiphone 😂
First guitar was an Austin strat and a Danelectro practice amp when I was 9 years old. Total garbage but I didn’t know then.
I also owned a line 6 spider.
Have either of your tried Wolf Guitars?
Tyler Thompson no sir. Haven’t heard of em.
@@bmitchellmusic If you get a chance, check them out. Allinoneguitars.com
Cool ...conversation. But my 10 cent advise is go usa made the extra cost is worth it in long run. Plus you keep americans working 😃✨🙏
what about acoustics?
0:11 That comment did not age well...
Brian kept interrupting Bradford so much 🤦♂️ it was rough sometimes
But I don’t mean to be too critical, it’s obviously not intentional, no big deal really just a pet peeve of mine
Can someone connect me with Brad? like his email or something ? would love to connect with him about theory and lead guitar

Bet $5 Bradford is on gear talk P&W 🤣
Wes Copeland yes? Been there for several years haha
Bradford's interruption game is strong... really messed with my ability to enjoy the information in this video
He looks way older than 30
Ouch!
Wow. Hurtful.
@@bmitchellmusic it's the beard that makes a man look older. 😉
Bradford why do you interrupt Brian sometimes
is not cool to do that
after more then one hour of talking about good guitars : good guitars are not important 😂
Dude, put your phone down!
