My awnig nearly killed me in my 34' Class C. I was going over Lake Lavon in TX and wind caught my awning, unfurled it, ballooned it over the top of my rig blowing me into the oncoming traffic lane! For about 45 seconds to a minute I could barely maintain my steering Wheel. I was fighting with everything I had to stay upright. It was terrifying. Just like that, the wind ripped the awning and the poles attached to the side of my rig completely off! I was able to get back in the right lanes of traffic before meeting the oncoming vehicles. Sheeeeeeeeezus. Scared the living daylights outta me!

I am a dog lover, and was very happy to have Cody come in for a visit. I even offered to let him on the bed, but he was too gentlemanly to make the jump.

I am also a happy Born Free camper. Mine is a 1999 24.5 foot RB. I have had her for 2 plus years and still adore her. She has been the best rig I have ever had.

I was wondering the same thing. She definitely got a nice home and it will definitely last many years to come.
She just said she paid pre-pandemic price. No number given.
And does the rig have a generator ? It should , then there's no trouble running the roof air or microwave . This is a must for boondocking !
@@kayyoung4647 pre-pandemic this goes for 20k-40k. Post-pandemic, these things go for 40k-120k depending on the year model, condition, and updates made, especially solar setup.

She is very organized, and I thought it was quite authentic that she opened up drawers to show what was in there. She has her 'way' if you will, and what is important to her. I am not certain I believe that she never watches the Vizio TV, but whatever.

Not sure if this is a criticism of the decor. It is 13 years old and holding up nicely. You could pay 3x and get more contemporary decor. Personal choice.

The Born Free led to buying a Lazy Daze. First choice was Born Free, the cost trade off led to going with Lazy Daze. Born Free's are awesome.
Yes, Lazy Daze would be my choice if I ever went Class C !!

7 minutes in..... Back in the early 2000s, my husband built cabinetry for 40$million super yachts..... Those interiors were cherry Wood and cream leather. It's a classy interior.
Yes! I often refer to the construction as being similar to a yacht.

This is a lovely lovely RV. It's clean it's compact it's got everything you need I'm loving that table that slides between the two chairs and hides in that wall pocket. Dashboard is beautiful and I really like the fact that you don't have did the cows on it I don't know why those bother me but I like the way you've got it. Well done happy travels and stay safe.

What a beautiful rig & a sweet Lady. You can clearly see just how happy and satisfied she is with her the life she’s made in her home on wheels. Taking out that sofa & putting in a regular twin bed is brilliant the way she did it. I’m curious as to how much weight can be stowed in that overhead compartment (above the front seats)? And always carry at least 2 very large fire extinguishers and know how to use them.
Your toaster oven gets very hot on top. To prevent a fire, you may want to use it on the counter.

I’ve seen Born Frees for sale that had a rear bathroom that was roomier and were dry baths (I.e. the toilet was outside the shower) but I like the closet space.
Another smart move was a solar generator with a solar panel that wasn’t permanently installed.
Another great idea, using the over bunk as storage..

Wow that’s a beautiful home on wheels. Your rig is very similar to my Ford Trail light, I also took out the jackknife sofa and on that side I made a permanent bar type table, I also made my bed permanent where the table used to be.

Bummer, my Dad used to rent a place in Humbolt, IA when they were still making the rv's there. I lived about 45 min due east from there, neat campers for sure!

I love this Born Free RV.
It's nice to see an RV like this featured but I myself I much prefer to see somebody's tiny home that they built on a tight shoestring budget as that's the situation of most of us...
There are People in the caravans driving Class A busses and towing Jeeps. There are people living in cars and eating cold soup. We are a diverse community, but somehow all enjoy each other’s company around the campfire.

Half of Michigan is state land or National Forrest . If you know where to go , boondocking is plentiful.
Yes. When I was there I hadn’t learned that yet. Would not have the same issues now.
