Voce scura bellissima. 🤩👏👏👏👏
In this scene a good combination of beautiful voices R. Panerai and F. Araiza with their wonderful artistic gift! I loved it! Thank you very much, stern1959! Please tell me, where I could watch and listen to this Opera completely, or at least a few more scenes - duet by Adina and Dulcamara and the final scene
I uploaded already all scenes that I have - disgracefully the ORF erased (!) the whole performance due to copyright problems with the Vienna State Opera...
What a shame, what a shame! And thank You for all the scenes of this wonderful variant of the Opera! I watch them with great pleasure. F. Araiza has created one of the most attractive images of Nemorino.
Rolando Panerai was a great baritone, his recording of Silvio at Pagliacci with Maria Callas and Giuseppe di Stefano is historic. But in this particular video, being old, he has two particular bad moments: 02:35 and 06:22-06:30 (this last one is HORRIBLE). Francisco Araiza is a great Nemorino.

In terms of beauty of timbre, singing technique and (even) acting, Araiza´s Nemorino is one of the best of all times.
Bravo Maestro !!!
Rolando Panerai was in his mid sixties, still top solid. Like an old vine-better than anybody younger.
Viva viva viva Panerai!!
...e anche Araiza, sempre bravissimo!
Wonderful Rolando Panerai !!!!
Araiza at his best perfect for these roles!
But he sings "obbligato, obbligato son felice, son contento" and it is "obbligato,ah si,obbligato" ;)
@@andrzejzborowski4920 wouldn't be the conductor's choice for this production?
@@dnor16 I don't thimk so. The conductor had agreed of course but why such a great singer as Araiza made it too easy? It's not too difficult for him.
Nothing intelligent to say but Araiza is SO good! How can the same person be so convincing as Nemorino and also to sing Dalla sua pace?
With the late great Rolando Panerai
Bravissimi!!
I think Araiza replaced Pavarotti in this rendition back in 1989. The public was very unhappy in the beginning and super happy at the end.
You are right! A remarkable performance, Araiza had to repeat the aria “Una furtiva lagrima”!!
GRande el Maestro Araiza jaja excelente.
Bravo!
que gran versión
Francisco Araiza is age 39 here - "somewhat younger" ?? You must be kidding! Both singers are in perfect vocal condition!

Francisco Araiza is a great Nemorino.
Beautiful, but sounds like Rossini !!!
I mean it's Donizetti...
