Those are white caps out there! I know it sucks to miss ports and have nothing to do, but there were 25mph winds in Bruges that day (that's the measured winds, not what was predicted)... for comparison, when the Carnival ship wrecked while docked in Jamaica this month they had 20mph winds.
Fairpoint, totally understand that. I just feel as if a lot of things were handled incorrectly on board. But definitely understand the Highwinds and that they were trying to keep us safe overall!
Didn't change for our cruise on The Getaway out on Sept 15th. 2 canceled ports...one legit one questionable too. Inexperienced staff made this cruise terrible.
Sailing on this ship from Southampton Oct 1st. Hope the situation has improved although think it is still very busy. What problems did you have with the crew?
Fingers crossed it improves for you!! The crew seemed to be very confused. One crewmember would say something completely different than the next. They seemed to be very disorganized. For example, our waiter would get forget drinks ect. And then some of the staff we’re just kind of rude and did not want to help if needed
Just got back from 2 weeks on this ship. Had the same experience with lack of facilities, etc. took 2 hours to get off the ship. Fights were breaking out with unhappy customers. 2 ports were cancelled even though the seas were not rough in any way. The bars and restaurants only open for a short time. Very poor. First and last time sailing with NCL.
We hate to hear that but unfortunately we totally understand you. We were so shocked at how bad everything was for us when we sailed. The canceling of ports with no rough weather is just crazy to us?! Makes 0 sense. Hopefully they up their game cause it sounds like they are loosing customers
Forgot to mention that used the butter and it was actually off twice. Luckily I don’t get sick from dodgy food…!!! Multiple people who have sailed with NCL before said they’d not had this experience before. No idea why they were so poor for both trips mentioned.
That is crazy you say that, on our last night I had a sandwich late in the evening from their Osheens place. The next day about 10 hours later I started suffering from food poisoning including fever. Lasted about 24 hours. Swore it had to be from that food. Complete disaster going on on that ship sadly.
Thanks for this guys! 'I'll never go with norwegian again. I really do not like their policies, money grabbing, i don't like they've stopped the second room clean/bed made up in the afternoon. Thanks for the video x
Yes sadly Norwegian has gone down hill - stay tuned because we are actually going on a virgin cruise today hoping that it’s a night and day difference between Norwegian!
People can complain all they want, but I would be furious too!! I’ve been on several cruises and that is ridiculous! You pay good money to go on vacation (especially in this economy), so you expect at the bare minimum for the staff to at least be friendly and helpful. Those wait times were crazy! Also, we have ported on days that looked way worse than that. It looked beautiful outside. Idk, definitely suspicious. I hope your next cruise is better. Our next cruise is on the Icon of the Seas in 2024. We are going to the Bahamas in a week, and I have been binge watching all your Bahama content LOL 😊
Thank you for your understanding! Yes, we were totally shocked by the service, the staff, and just the overall cruise itself. It was not an expensive cruise as it was a nine night European . Costing a balcony room just over $5000 for two people. Not including Internet, excursions etc. we usually have a great time on Royal so you should have a great time on icon of the seas! We had a great time in the Bahamas, both in Bimini and in Nassau. Our next cruise is on Virgin in a few weeks and we’re very excited as we’ve heard. It’s an amazing experience! We just returned from 14 days on Getaway. The ONLY good thing I can say is that this is the first ship that has put coffee makers in rooms. They are also the only line that will not open balcony dividers, claiming it is a danger. There is nowhere to sit in the atrium--ever, but the stupid games are the only thing to do all day if you don't live in a bar. The entertainment was embarrassing except for Million Dollar Quartet. We will stick with Royal Caribbean and Princess. No Norwegian ever again.
It’s such a shame to hear that but we totally understand and feel the same way. They have really gone down hill. The atrium always drove us nuts, they put major events in there and it was impossible to even sit or see. We will be avoiding NCL unfortunately as well for a while

That is crazy, we’ve had a couple other people reach out to us, and say the same thing! So unfortunate, the second canceled port was just bizarre….
Going on the 12th of October on a full ship, it does not look like fun😢

We went from July 30th to August 8th of 2023, so very recently!
