That was an amazing game. The mage with the M. Night Shyamalan level twist ending, and the kibbler with the perfect answer in case he was trying to OTK him.
Early into the game I was thinking, "That kinda looks like a quest mage that's just holding back info for as long as possible." And that tactic totally worked :D
The mage put the quest back into the deck from their opening hand... I actually think that was a misclick during the mulligan. You can see at (7:45) that the mage's quest was the card they just drew.
Nozdormu is actually a great card to run in dragon/big decks in this combo/control meta. It's just that his reputation as a meme makes most people not even consider playing it.
Br00tal77 thanks, might give it a try, i put in prince valanar for elise (wich is not ideal) and an abbyssal enforcer for thalnos, 50 % winrate on 12 games so far, but i need a better late game!
i swapped out thalanos in my control deck for the divine spirit dude because its much better with defile and you dont really need to draw cards anyway i would probably put elise in if i had her but i really dont think its essential since you win fatigue games with the DK hero power 90% of the time
AlucardO72 yeah, lifesteal interacts in an interesting way with velen. Since he doubles damage and healing, the hero power does six damage. And since the healing is doubled again due to lifesteal heal equaling the damage, he heals for 12.
Since when does a non midrange-mage deck run Arcane Giant, Alexstraza, Cabalist Tome and Medivh's Valet that isn't some form of Quest Mage...? I mean, I get your thought process that game Kibler but I do not understand how you came to the conclusion that he _must_ have been a control mage! Still, it was an entertaining game to watch so keep it up as the best Hearthstone content-producer and streamer! ^^

In this variant you play both giants after you've completed the quest, then activate the extra turn, alex your opponent and hit him in the face for 16. Frost Lich Jaina is there simply because this deck might need to stall just a bit more than the other quest mages, since your enemy can mess your combo up by having taunts and free elementals and constant healing can help with that.

If you run double doomsayer and Defile, why not try 2xTreason and Howlfiend?
Because 9 times out of 10 they will be a dead draw or dead in hand since mulligan.
9 out of 10 seems pretty unreasonable. doomsayer treason is actually very often a full boardclear if you are patient enough with the doomsayers.
