I rode to work at 32F recently, I have a ZH2 and it was the biggest mistake Ive ever made. The bike had a literal snowflake next to the temp. I have a 30min ride to work and my hands where numb all day. I did have gloves on, wish I would have had heated ones.

@@NotXavierbtw 250km/h with the stock gearing. I had 1 tooth bigger sprocket in front before with that it did around 275km/h

Hey how did you set up your shift Indicator.. mine shows F after turning the key on and doing 6543210..
I just connected it to the diagnostic connector and turned it on and it worked.
However it is a bit wonky when not in gear, will show wrong numbers and stuff, once you get going in a gear it will indicate correctly tho!

I just bought the same bike you have and i would like to get the same Vance & Hines Streetbrawlers slip ons, but cant find any website that would have them in stock and could ship them to Finland. You happen to know any places in europe/scandinavia who sells these?
Sadly vance & hines stopped producing them so i think its going to be hard finding them anywhere :/

yep its much better to start on small bike. :) 99% of riders can't push their bikes to the limit. That's why most videos you see when riders drive out of the road in a tight corner with bit too much speed, could have been avoided if they just had leaned the bike more. Like if you notice you go too fast in a corner, the only thing you SHOULD do is slam your knee to the ground and lean the bike. If you got good tires, the bike will oblige. If you aren't riding a sportbike, expect to shave 1cm off of your footpeg.
Would it be possible to get some more speed out of the kawasaki z1000 by changing the sprocket?
Yeah, i had 1 tooth bigger front before and it showed around 275-280 on the meter but not sure if thats very accurate
went down one in back, one up in front, online chart 'says' top speed increased from 152 to 177Mph (245 to 285Kph). an weirdly in a small note under chart, is based on a 112 link chain. the speed sensor is on the front sprocket so it would show slightly slower speed on speedo. bigger turns slower. smaller turns faster.
@@NobodyMoto thats probably pretty close to accurate. "they" say going up 1 in front is equal to going down 2 in back.
@@ribalderr6052 I think it will take some pull power from the bike then. If you want to do some crazy wheelies then it's better for it to be slower but more pull power.

Then i have to get a new quickshifter and stuff, would cost around 1500€ for launcontrol + ripping off parts thats worth around the same 😂

It can do 280+ with a bigger front sprocket, it got stock sprocket sizes because i enjoy the acceleration more than top speed :)
Alot of 600cc's does 230-250 but they wont get there nearly as fast ^^

you think the z900 tops the z1000?
It has less hp but im pretty sure they have the same gearbox so they share the same top speed but the z1k gets there faster.
The z1k can get alot more top speed changing sprockets but im not sure if the z900 also could do that :)

How does almost freezing temps affect your tire traction?
Its very bad, scared to take to sharp turns etc. Back wheel lets go a bit to easy aswell, you can see in the beginning and also at 9:55 how the revs shoot up in 2nd gear becasue the wheel lost traction :)
the tire becomes harder which makes it loose grip easily on the road

so its true that police cant do much in sweden because of the rule to not chase bikers because of the potential danger it can cause/lead to ?
Its not a rule but more of a reccomendation, they can still chase you pretty heavily if they feel like it. However that rarely happens as they know they have a very slim chance to catch bikers. Also the laws in sweden make it almost impossible to get any convictions unless they catch someone in the act :)
You could technically run from them with the plate very visible and then just say that you didnt drive when they ask about it :)
