No sir it is not underrated. In fact it is very highly rated and favourite place to stay among most of the frequent travellers. Not just Gulmit but the rest of upper hunza Gojal villages including Pasu and Khyber villages and another one which they recently named mini Switzerland soon after the Khyber village. I forgot the original name but it is amazingly beautiful. Plenty of wild life and lovely flora. The wild lavender smells so nice there.

Been there in july..its breathrakingly beautiful place ..wonderful landscapes and rich culture and food..enjoyed every bit of it..dried apricots are really tasty...
