"This song, written in 2009, was originally going to be on 'Firmament'. After dropping it from the album, I did a slight variation of the original which is the version you have here. It was one of the starting points for 'Funerals from the Astral Sphere', but by the time that album was being finished, I felt this song was no longer suitable for that album either. And rather aptly to the song title, it just sat there for years abandoned.'
