Midnight Odyssey - The Night Has Come for Me (2015)

First track from the compilation 'Silhouettes of Stars', this track was originally released as a download-only single in 2015 on Bandcamp.

From the booklet of Silhouettes of Stars:
"This is the first black metal song I ever wrote. Around 1998-99. Written on an acoustic guitar, I did actually record one version of this song onto a PA tape deck with an acoustic guitar and metronome. That and all the other songs of that recording have been lost to history, but this was a song I had played so much, that I never actually forgot it. It was also one that I felt was too important to completely discard, and I had tried many re-recordings of it over the years. In 2015 I decided it was time to try again and I felt this particular recording captured both those primordial atmospheres in the deep recesses of my mind, and the new sound of Midnight Odyssey well enough to release it as a download -only single on Bandcamp. The original lyrics were lost as well and it had never been recorded with vocals, so those parts are new."
