And in that game his Devil Trigger form becomes Nelo Angelo the demon Vergil becomes after Mundus beats him, shatters Yamato, tortures him and turns him into his own puppet.

Silvis Alerion I did the level 3 when my opponent wasted his 3 levels to bring all his guys out in the open in order to finish me off. But I got all hype and did Virgil's level 3 and the same time and I didn't know he was going to bring out all his guys, it all happened so fast and I was screaming my lungs out at my own desperate will to survive with only Virgil. So yeah with a well timed accident Virgil's level 3 can take out 3 characters at ounce. I also had X factor on.

Check out the startup and end animations on the Stinger: Rather than taking the sword out of it's sheath, he pulls an invisible sword off of his back, and puts it back when he's done. Or in other words, It's Dante, and they didn't change the animation.
You never played DMC3 that "invisible sword" was the Force Edge, one of Vergil's weapons in DMC3, it uses a similar move-set as Dante's Rebellion, cause they're both broadswords. Unlike Vergil's katana, the Yamato

The thing that makes Dimension Slash different from maximum spider & maximum wesker/phantom dance is that it doesn't really have Vergil bouncing around on the screen really, it just looks like there's a ton of slashes/orbs on screen.
@GeeGamerz Trish is from DMC1 where Dante gave her the sword of sparda at the end of game (I honestly don't know why since he's more powerful using it) Vergil (this iteration) is from DMC3 which is a prequel to DMC1 where Vergil got the Sword of Sparda (Known as the Force Edge WITHOUT the two pendants) and fought Dante but lost to him, giving him the Force Edge. Capcom decided it would look awkward if the Force Edge was on Vergil's the whole match since he only uses it for few a moves
@edwiniseman4 The sword on his hand is the katana, the sword he does stinger with is the sword of Sparta. They are two different swords. All of his animations are identical to the dmc3, capcom actually ,made a really good job with him.
@joejones Vergil's stinger wall bounces when hitting an airborne opponent and can be teleport and special cancelled. Dante has to bold cancel his stringer into a special move to get out of it. Dante cannot teleport to exact locations, he can only teleport to one predetermined spot. Two different moves. Vergil's teleport has more in common with Wesker then Dante, though it's still different.
Same guard. The blade on Tensai Zangetsu is entirely black, however, while on Vergil's sword it's just regular steel. Tensai Zangetsu is also somewhat longer than a regular Katana and would more accurately classified as a Tachi, or cavalry sword.

I love how Max says that Vergil doesn't have very flashy combos, I guess he never saw Vergil Spiral Sword loops which are harder than ANYTHING Dante does because of the timing and placement. You can do the easy, Helm Breaker, Helm Breaker, round trip, down H, qcf.L, to spiral swords, then repeat, or the hard Spiral Swords, Lunar Phase, round trip, down H qcf L then repeat, the reason it's harder is it does more damage BUT you have to position the person perfectly or you'll whiff the lunar phase.

@edwiniseman4 I'm sure you have already been answered already, but let me clarify: After the boss fight with Arkham in chapter 19 Vergil grabs Force Edge(His father's sword). So he has two Swords for the last boss battle that fight against him.
Vergil isn't Dante's half-brother. He's his brother. And why was Dante's theme playing when Vergil appeared? Not to mention Dante isn't exactly the stronger one.
@BloodSportA2 You're absolutely right, but I believe for more experienced players that won't be too much of a problem. I believe he'll fit in as either an anchor or a 2nd as far as team building. He just doesn't seem the type to be a battery and just build meter.
@KaiserDark22 when your playing vergil and you switch out for different wepons, vergiol is only able to carry 2 wepons at a time: yamato and beowolf, forceedge and yamato. without that, it just looks like he has yamato. but he is like dante in the fact that he doesnt need his other wepon out at the time to know he has that wepon if you assined it to his secondary slot. good question and i hope this helped.
@GalliaCrusader You have approximately 1 second before they have the chance to hop into defense. So use it wisely. Best way to hit the hyper combo spot on is to do the quarter turn then press R2.
@MrFool59 yes but Magneto is still more human than Virgil so I don't think Virgil would like him very much, and in Super Skrull's case he's an alien who hates anything remotely human, which Virgil is. So yeah. I stand by my team :D

@dessan18 its not that the move is shared its that they didnt bother animating the katana and instead u see vergil using rebellion dante's sword when doing those moves. meaning that they were copy and paste. watch again.
I personally think that Vergil is the best character against Galactus. His upper slash becomes an infinite combo and is the quickest way of dealing damage outside of hypers. And to top that of his dimension slash is the most damaging hyper on Galactus since his huge size cause him to get hit far more orbs compared to a normal character.
Funny how when Vergil does the Stinger,they use the exact same character animation as Dante,even when he puts his sword away,he puts it on his back,not in to the sheath he is holding.
@decko5 I don't think so. Max and everyone else puts a lot of effort into making these. It might just feel that way because he's been assigned to only do certain characters at certain times by Capcom, but the production quality is still amazing, if not better than it was. I'm just waiting for the day when Brokentier starts stocking "Assist Me" shirts.
@DarkKratos09 One of the guys who makes the costumes said they couldn't get one in time so they just repainted this one. It is a Zangetsu repaint it's just not an exact replica of Zangetsu since the hilt design is supposed to be thinner. (The symbol)
oh my, i thought the Vergil assist me was going to be amazing, but.... wow max, it had ALOT of plot holes. Vergil is Dante's REAL brother, Vergil does not have an evil laugh, more of a smirk, and he is also the older brother. other than the acting (and the painted over bleach sword to make it look like yamato), it had really helpful info, and for that i thank you.

Funny how when Vergil does the Stinger,they use the exact same character animation as Dante,even when he puts his sword away,he puts it on his back,not in to the sheath he is holding.
@decko5 I don't think so. Max and everyone else puts a lot of effort into making these. It might just feel that way because he's been assigned to only do certain characters at certain times by Capcom, but the production quality is still amazing, if not better than it was.
I'm just waiting for the day when Brokentier starts stocking "Assist Me" shirts.

@billphann You have to super jump, and make sure your air combo is B, C, S. The timing is tricky at first.

One of the guys who makes the costumes said they couldn't get one in time so they just repainted this one.
It is a Zangetsu repaint it's just not an exact replica of Zangetsu since the hilt design is supposed to be thinner. (The symbol)
oh my, i thought the Vergil assist me was going to be amazing, but.... wow max, it had ALOT of plot holes. Vergil is Dante's REAL brother, Vergil does not have an evil laugh, more of a smirk, and he is also the older brother. other than the acting (and the painted over bleach sword to make it look like yamato), it had really helpful info, and for that i thank you.
Thanks Max I plan on using Nova, Virgil and Dr Strange as my team for Ultimate
Mine was mainly Dr. Strange- but I also loved the way Ultimate was compared to vanilla
