thats the only problem i have with hozishaki they take so long to drop ice. Manitowac and ice - o - matic. are quick in dropping ice. So diagnosing is quick. But i can say those hozishaki are reliable as hell.

Thank. You. I mostly clean Manitowocs but tomorrow I've been tasked with a large Hoshizaki and had no clue where to start with it.

Repurposing the old 'Big Blu' bottle is ingenious! The spray nozzle on that bottle puts out a nice stream of liquid, not a spray. That chemical has a very strong acid in it and you would end up breathing it in, if sprayed with a normal spray bottle. It's bad enough to get a strong whiff of it out of the pan.

You got some very detailed videos. A few hints , tips and comments would make the videos even more powerful. Even if you think your voice or English is not good. If your language is not English then help out the fine folks that know your language.

We clean the ice machines for a major pub chain in the UK. It's the only place I'll have ice in a drink, as I know that nowhere else; pubs, restaurants etc. have a regular ice MC cleaning regime. We also take those Hoshizaki KMs down off the bin (2 guy job), take it outside or into the pub cellar, strip it down completely & give it a jet wash. It's the only way to satisfactorily clean them.

I love Hoshi as a manufacturer, however that area with the 3 big circles is the worst to clean. On top of that the only customers in my area with them have inches of space above them so i can never effectively clean the evaps. The controls on these machines are boss tho, i wish every manufacturer had manual controls, can't stand going thru a menu....

Tip run cleaner in wash through machine first and makes cleaning easier. Then tear down scrub reassemble sanitize in wash. Rinse

It was leaking and letting out hot gas or cooling it off During the harvest cycle. Works fine during the day but at night after closing the store it will shut down and beep till mourning and the customer has to reset the board. have charged it with 10lbs of R 404a, Checked the thermocouple not shorted or open.

It looks like a KM-515MAH on a B-300PF bin, remember to have your ice machine professionally cleaned by a service rep at least once a year. Please see HOSHIZAKI's preventative maintenance cleaning procedures in the model's instruction manual: hoshizakiamerica.com/manuals/ or we've made one sheet quick cleaning guides for most of our models here: hoshizakiamerica.com/sales-literature/#cleaning_sheets also see all of our training videos here: th-cam.com/play/PLGaqeuoUHZh8KwMvGax4_n5P67RwPv3d2.html

Good point! If the operation bakes bread or works with anything containing yeast - it also creates a demand for more frequent professional ice machine cleanings.
