    Atif was actually mad that cheers were so much more for nobi before the match. His celebration pose was basically "Where is the noise now. Hah?"
    Similarly in Gamers8 clutch boss match, Atif was mad that Knee said that knee said that he's fighting for the trophy not the money.
    This calmed his nerves and he was more focused to win and get revenge for Arslan too.
    Moral of the story: Tread carefully and DON'T MAKE ATIF MAD

    • @blazaybla22
      @blazaybla22 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I find it odd that Arslan seems to be the main pro complaining about the new meta play style in T8, considering out of the entire pro player base he’s done the best job by far at adapting to it (or criticizing may be a better word than complaining, take your pick)

    • @Jadasan
      @Jadasan 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @blazaybla22 A lot of pros were having trouble adapting to T8 (some still are), but that goes to show that Arslan had to be patient and find a character to adapt his aggressive poking playstyle with to keep up with the new system. Pro players are still shuffling around with different characters to find mains that will work in this game, but we'll see how they progress from now on.

    • @siberayaya4192
      @siberayaya4192 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah this aggressive style ironically is more lame to watch in my opinion. It's like a song with no dynamic range, full on compression and LOUD. It's so draining to play/watch. They should have just made a good Tekken and leave it up to the players.

    It might be a hot take for some people but that day I hoped Atif to win the Evo '24 instead of Arslan who already took 4 of them before.
    It would be a huge boost for Atif's career (also the Visa issues) and him appearing in more tournaments by earning better Sponsors as well.
    Remember that Arslan got RB cuz of Evo Vegas '19 and before that vSlash was not paying him any money but only the tickets I think..
    Nonetheless for his first ever Evolution run Atif slayed everyone except for his training partner.
    Nobi is basically a Dragunov expert and former Evo winner so beating him so mercilessly shows the provess Atif posseses.

    9:05 I remember you said delayed running 2 can beat side step. but here Atif immediately side stepped running 2. so that's not a delayed running 2?

    • @izztre19999
      @izztre19999 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I think Atif was simply sidewalking instead of sidestepping. Still, this game is very nuance and many things factor in to produce unique and unexplainable outcomes that sometimes just very hard to replicate in practice mode

    • @PhiDX
      @PhiDX  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      In that situation, a delayed running 2 beats "block --> SWL"
      But atif just did instant SWL

    • @Tw0ToneGaming
      @Tw0ToneGaming 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It was delayed due to how long nobi was running. Nobi had a few frames where he was in close proximity but chose to stay running for a couple of frames more therefore making it “delayed.”

    • @aqueelkadri8371
      @aqueelkadri8371 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Ok so what you are saying is correct but thats in a different context. (I might repeat some points so stop reading as soon as your confusion clears away)
      > Delayed wr2 does beat immediate sidestep, but thats in neutral.
      > The context in this situation is that it was after a heat engager and Atif is at -17 or something crazy like that (I don't know the exact frames)
      > So Nobi's "delay" is actually just Atif's recovery frames and Atif's "immediate" sidestep is actually just him sidestepping as soon as he can after recovering from the heat engager stun.
      > So you can think of it as Nobi's delay sacrifices his frame advantage and puts both players in "neutral" and then both players performed the action with immediate timing in neutral which is why Atif's sidestep won.
      > Now the question is why would Nobi do this? Because he expected Atif to block after getting hit by a heat engager like a normal person because no matter what move your opponent picks, if you sidestep at -17, you will get hit.
      > So Nobi is expecting Atif to do the following:
      1) block like a normal person at -17
      2) visually confirm that Nobi just dashed up and did nothing.
      3) Attempt a sidestep to avoid the options
      (This sidestep now becomes delayed from the context of the neutral that Nobi created by sacrificing his frame advantage)
      > And that delayed/late sidestep is what Nobi was trying to catch with his "delayed" running 2.
      > But because Atif read this insanity and raised it by sidestepping at -17, he avoided the "delayed" running 2 with an "immediate" sidestep.
      Hope this helped.
      Side note: I don't even think it was a read. Atif is famously notorious in Pakistan for button peeking and listening to his opponent's inputs when playing side by side and predicting their timing, lows, throws etc. based on that so I think he just heard that Nobi didn't press a button after the Heat engager and immediately realized what Nobi was up to and sidestepped at -17 like a mad man

    I’m no where at their level, but ever since Drag obtained qcf4. His 4 extension out of 2.1 has gotten me some mileage again. Everyone is so focused on anticipating the sneak 4 that the 4 extension after 2,1 throws a lot of my opponents off in god ranks. I believe throwing that out SPARINGLY, would’ve disrupted Atif’s flow. That alone wouldn’t won him the set but adding that to his game plan would’ve likely gotten him a round here and there.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I feel like Nobi should have switched to a different character. I know he's considered one of the greatest Dragunov players of all time, but the way he's playing suggests he wants to try and steal his turn back instead of respecting Atiff's frame advantages. I would have liked to see him play Steve against Atiff as a way to curtail his offence, using B1 to try and intercept some of these delayed pokes, especially mitigating Atiff's use of df1.

    The biggest issue I have with the Japanese players is that they will stick with one character even when that character is not working. You don't see the Koreans do this; Knee, Lowhigh, Chanel, CBM, Mulgod, Jeondding, etc will switch characters when their main character is not working. Nobi's biggest weakness is that he is way too dependent on Dragunov and got exposed, well he got exposed when he was in Korea earlier. Nobi doesn't seem too confident using Steve and Feng even though I consider him one of the best Steve players in the world. I know Nobi also mains Anna but he never used Anna during tournaments in Tekken 7, although Nobi did tell me through twitter he will start using Anna when she is released. Nobi needs to develop stronger side characters whether be Steve, Alisa, Feng, Anna (when she gets released) etc when Dragunov is not working.
