I read that Drew's grandmother Dolores Costello had a severe lisp and worked with a voice coach for 2 years until she felt comfortable doing movies with sound. A lot of people give her guff over her voice and how she talks, but that's part of what lovingly makes Drew who she is. I couldn't imagine her without those signature trademarks.

It's different in the case of Stallone. A nerve in his face was actually crushed by the doctor's forceps during his birth as he was forcibly extracted from the birth canal. These two just have an unusual facial feature in the way their faces were formed.

YES!! I am a distant cousin in the crooked mouth family. I have been hyper conscious of it since 6th grade. Thankfully I had Drew and Stallone to see in the 90s to make me feel better about it. But, this is one of the most randomly validating conversations to have stumbled upon.

I have a lisp and crooked smile too. Been feeling sad because of it. My fave looks uneven. My friends mimic me on pictures and makes fun of me. But my bf says he doesn't care and loves me no matter what I look like. But because of friends making fun to be honest it affects my self confidence. :( But seeing Drew and Milo embracing it kinda boost my self confidence now. :)
