I love it when it rains during any gameplay in most games. First time i remember water haveing an impressive presence was in Metal Gear 2 in the beginning when you look up and see the rain hit the camera.

Even though you can't go in the water in Arkham Knight, I love the wave physics and its greenish coloring. It's amazing to just stand at the edge of the pier below the orphanage and watch the waves roll over each other and crash against the shoreline

Just a little addition about uncharted 4. The scuba section was a definite highlight. And looks amazing when you're hoisted out of the water onto the boat.
I dont know if it's on ps4, but Subnautica should have been on this list.
One of the best games I've played in years and terrifying the deeper you go.
It's currently on PS4 now, I lucked upon it earlier today and I knew I had to have it. If you haven't already bought it, I'd recommend you do so.
Another worthy mention is “Subnautica”. Man… when you first get your feet wet and see the majestic beauty of safe shallows. Terrifying murky waters of the Dunes, otherworldliness of the blood kelp, the sense of discovery in the lost river...I can go on. My PS brethren can get it end of this year.
Shame you didn't pick Uncharted Lost Legacy, that game deserves more love. And it had some amazing water drops on the ruins.

We'll most likely never be fully there where it will be truly difficult to the player to differentiate between real life looks and game graphics. Because our brain always knows that what you see is simply a game, so automatically you will see its graphics as such.
Therefore we will get closer and closer to the real thing, but never achieve it.
Won't stop the term photo-realistic to be thrown around at new games in the same way games from 2002 have been marked photo-realistic.

Octorious HZD will always be my favourite water graphics. The way it snakes through the environment in rivers is just stunning. Just cause 3 had some beautiful water, it was just a shame that there wasn't anything to do underwater

On a similar note, how Rob feels about water I feel about clothing effects: how they might ripple on the character's body, shine after climbing out of water, tear after body or get bloodied and dirty in certain environments. Muah. Magnifique.
