All of us foreigners living in the Philippines are under the microscope in this country. Please be on your best behavior when here. Yeah, I don't like masks, but I comply when anyone asks me to where one. I've only been living for about 3 months, but I love the people and country of the Philippines. This has been what I call a reset in my life after my wife of almost 25 years passed from cancer in 2020. Just remember we are all examples of our home country. Hopefully I will live in the Philippines for the rest of my life. Great video. Thanks & God Bless!!!✝️♥️🙏

In the PH if you aren't getting cut off you are the only one on the road. It angers me that people aren't even trying to fit in when they move to a new country. If you aren't a chill person stay the hell out of the PH !

A lot of expats think that the locals need to adjust to them. That's not going to happen, not in Asia. Not anytime soon or in our lifetime.

It really doesn't matter if you are right, if you publicly shame or cause a Filipino to lose face all you achieve is to draw attention to yourself and made an enemy besides losing the respect of bystanders. As a non citizen it is a lot more comfortable life if you don't draw attention to yourself. Easy to say but in some circumstances not so easy to comply.

Everyone has emotions, we all get mad, sad, happy, Angry That's what makes up human. But not everyone responds the same. Foreigners aren't the only one's who raises their voice or Gets angry when they get cut off. My filipina LDR says her daughter honks at & flips people off who does her the same way. Why do people expect foreigners to not have emotions Or respond like a robot? That seems very unrealistic to expect of anyone Native or foreigner to me.

Getting angry over a situation is one thing, but loosing control is another.
And remember , the locals don't get deported.

@J Lynn Burton. You're right. Do we all have to be subdued morons and take crap from locals, simply because we chose to live there independently, not relying on the Philippines Government for support. No i don't agree with that philosophy, we are human beings too, not to be pushed around by anyone. Filipino's also need to learn about foreigners culture, that we are not just a bunch of wealthy idiots with no brains, because sadly that is how the vast majority see us at this present time. That we're dumb, with too much money. That is why they can be very disrespectful towards us and rude. I lived there for several years, and i am not dumb, and my wife and i are self sufficient not relying on anyone else for support. Respect, is a two way street. I'm not a guest there, i was not invited to live there, it was my choice, no one else.

@Quid Pro Quo. Bullshit, i am married to a Filipina for more than a quarter of a century. We have our own home there and we do not rely on any help from the Authorities there to survive. I had a Residency Card entitling me to be there,
I AM NOT A GUEST in the Philippines. I contribute to the economy of the Philippines. It was my choice to choose to live there, no one invited me to come there. In my country of origin we do not tell new immigrants they are a guest. They are welcomed.

1 foreigner has a bad day and ALL foreigners are like that, but 1 Filipina scams someone and not ALL are like that. You don't judge an entire countries people based off of 1 persons actions, EVERY country has their good and bad people. If you feel or know you're having a bad day, maybe just go home, take a deep breath, relax, and wait until tomorrow to do whatever it is you needed to do. No one is guaranteed tomorrow, you should try to enjoy life.

In my time in the Phils I did tend to put expats into main 4 catergories those who fell in love with the Filipinos and the country and those who are running away from something what ever that may be and then the bad ones.
Generally the first group are cool most of the time, heat and endless ques will test anyone but generally pretty cool people.
The second group seem to have brought what ever they are running away from with them and seem uptight and easily stressed .
The third are stressed and leaving issues behind but are instantly chilled by the island life style.
The forth are a bad bunch involved in international online crime and taking advantage of the non expidite policy of the Philippines, yes they exist and yes I met some bragging about what theyre upto..... not so smart !.
Fortunatly the biggest group of expats fall into the first group so dont worry Philippines.
