- With adversaries behind her and the USS Odyssey in front, the crew attempt to mount a rescue operation against Starfleet orders. Due to the nature of the operation, special precautions are taken which breeds suspicion and concern amongst the crew.

Excellent episode and yet heartbreakingly tragic. The death of Commander Lefler brought me to tears. What a kick in the gut. I still love this show, though.

Man.... it was bad enough when they killed off Admiral Cole, but this was just haaaarrrssshhh!!! "Sigh" and I still love it! Quality Trek should gut you every now and then.

The nice "orange"/"blonde" haired lady at 3:17 I believe is also part Norsican (based on other episodes) as she's very good in close quarters combat; especially with knives and other sharp objects! Regards.
Her father was a Nausican and her mother was a Bolian fertility expert.
Rob Caves, have you considered upscaling these with modern AI to HD? As well as color correcting to remove the green tinge on the actors leftover from the chromakeying? Both this series and _Odyssey_ deserves an HD remaster!

These arent professional actors.... I think theyre doing fine. Get over it, and enjoy the story line. :)
Agreed, these people aren't professional actors or TV/film production staff but fans of one of the biggest franchises. I have seen Hidden Frontiers and Odyssey and personally think they are doing the best they can which is quite good.
As for Lita Gator's comment, I absoutely disagree. I have seen some really bad acting by professional actors in TV and film..
Actually Melodee M. Spevack was in Star Trek: Enterprise.

Shouldn't the ships on pursuit also go on Omega lockdown?
I always thought the way it is used is beyond stupid. It leaves any starfleet ship abosloutly defenseless the moment the greatest threat is detected. And what if a change in command under duress happened.
I agree but only if they too have directed the pressence or remnants of Omega only and only then they too will impliment the lockdown aka the Omega Directive.

I don't give a rat's azz about their acting because it is not what matters. What is important is they are sooooo luuuucckkkyyyy they can play "To Boldly Go" and be on a star ship and a federation one at that. I was in a space ship set once until the wind blew my stove boxes away. That stove box would have made one hell of a BORG vessel if that was a story line back in the day. Instead we put these furry arts and craft things on a fishing line and had our own Trouble With Tribbles episode. It was a filler episode day. lol

No. She would be about 140 years old. It's probably her granddaughter.
That reminds me, an Omega molecule, is an inhibitor, so it wouldnt be used to make a stable slipstream, it would actually stop a ship dead in her tracks.

I really, really love this series, however, there is a great deal of errors, because someone didnt do their homework. But all in all, I give this series a 8.
