I was satisfied with the series. Mostly because of Idris. But I agree. Sam's Son was a Dumbass for coming out of the room, WTF was he thinking, he knew there was more than 1 guy. Also, the final conflict felt extremely forced (Like they just needed some excuse for drama) but nothing about how those two guys interacted prior would justify that final scene. But Meh, it was only a couple minutes at the end. Overall, it was a cool 7 Hour Movie.

@@IamLegend573 I fully recommend this series, I’ve really enjoyed it. I think all the scenes were done very well and they did a great job of keeping everything very suspenseful but also kept the scenes realistic. Definitely worth a watch
Bit of a silly ending - there is absolutely no way that they would let the plane fly over central London, they would have shot down the engines to crash over open water - 200 passengers vs potentially thousands in central London (including the passengers). Also Kai would have been killed instantly, they didn’t need him as a hostage - it’s not like they let Sam know that they had him.
In which episode did the guys on the plane tell the guys on the ground about Sam? I totally missed that and couldn’t work out how they knew about him and where he lived etc 🤷🏻♀️
@@Alltheredroses quite early on, they sent a picture of his passport to the ground - although they said this was because he was a "problem passenger" but then they continued to engage with him rather than tie him up like the other two. I just really wish in the end they should have cut back to Sam taking a call and simply asking "how much did we make?" showing he was in change of the whole thing all the way though.

I’m confused how this is the finale… we didn’t get any explanation as to who these people are, what money were they getting, the hijackers had people they worked for, who were they. What happened to Amanda’s family, were they ever in danger?
It clearly explained it was an organised crime gang and they hijacked the plane to gain money via using short call options on the Kingdom stock. Not sure how seeing if Amanda's daughter is fine would be that much of a game changer?
They were an extremely violent organized crime unit. They made many Millions shorting the stock of Kingdom Airlines, which plummeted due to the Hijacking. It's varies in degree, but the Hijackers were all involved with the OCG Organization. Some like Amanda and the Trader were not until just prior to the flight. So the Hijackers worked or were held hostage by people that would kill their family is they didn't do as told. A couple of gaps? What did happen to Amanda's family? Well we know from the show they didn't die, but we were told by the main Hijacker with the loaded gun they were dead already or would die either way. My thought is, the OCG Gang threatened their families. And that was enough to get them to cooperate. Even though for them, there was no need to kill Amanda's family because they just expected her to crash the plane,I think the same goes with the Trader guy. Once the threat was out there, what could they do other than follow orders? They did kill some family members, but that was probably just to prove they could/would. I took it as all the Hijackers were doing this because if they didn't, their family would be killed. None of them seemed really "On board" with the plan, they all seemed kind of like they were operating from a place of fear. Which makes the final confrontation even a little more forced and unnecessary.

Man this show was great. Apple TV is doing amazing with these TV SHOWS and should put out season 2. What a ride. I was itching every week for a new episode
Great show ending maybe felt a little rushed i wish they had showed what had happened to john coz that bit seemed not well explained but other than that they did well tbh as there were alot of plot holes but they all made sense and linked in with the story overall great show and idris elba was amazing as usual
Two things why didn’t sas or special forces raid the plane and why did Sam just walk out the plane like I thought they were gonna drag him and the hijacker out
After Sam is being a hero in Hijack, his amazing negotiation skill is making him getting hired by some big companies under the new alias Alcott to hire the best wounded mercenary in the World, Rake
Why were the two top government officials such idiots? How did Stuart get loose from the zipties? And how did he get the loaded gun back? Why did the two fighter jets not stay close to the jet liner, just in case?
Amanda had flying experience from being in the navy, the air traffic control were speaking to Amanda and it would have probably been more dangerous to leave the cockpit, go and get a different pilot especially when the fuel was so low
There were many frustrating plot holes in this. I was baffled as to why the Captain allowed the terrorist inside. I was hoping he had some kind of relationship with the terrorist to explain why he would open the door, but nope he just randomly bashed his first officer and allowed them in. Several pointless subplots with the ATC and her kid that went nowhere along with Sam's wife (didn't seem to really care for him at all lol). Also, the bad guy's basically get away in the end with little repercussion. Overall, there were just too many baffling logic lapses and unintentionally funny scenes that detract from a good show. 4/10
The show literally showed that the captain opened the cockpit because he was in love with flight attendant. That captain was targeted for that information alone. Don’t mark the show down just because you’re not paying attention.
@@ashley.taylor174 I didn't miss that detail. What really stretched my suspension of disbelief is he would risk everybody's lives for that 1 person. Now I'd imagine you would counter that by saying people are prone to weakness when faced with a personal situation like that but being a highly trained pilot you would think that he would consider the stakes involved, and the pilot did everything wrong including suddenly bashing his first officer's head to keep his little secret.
@@imulan I've already addressed that with my "prone to weakness when faced with a personal situation". It's fine for me if a person does 1 or 2 brash choices-this pilot just kept on making so much of them.

What show do we watch now guys ? This was so good! And I agree with you completely the kai thing was not necessarily needed but how they got him back was smooth . And I needed a bit more from the ending . Like the plane blew up or some ish . But it was really good
@@tommycanavan8285 severance is a thriller on Apple TV exploring the idea of work life balance in a futuristic way. It’s slow paced but excellently written and shot. It could easily fit into the black mirror series. Silo is a sci-fi series exploring a seemingly post apocalyptic world. It’s not the most captivating but something to watch and still be somewhat engaged
The show is clean from any sexual act which is why I would give it an A. Also, the story has been filmed professionally, however, the decisions of the PM and the home Secretary didn't make sense. I wonder wither they will say the same thing in real life
I liked the show. Nevertheless, there were a few plotholes. The whole plan was based on the fact that Colette was on board, but in the beginning, she said that she would have been on another flight if she hadn‘t changed her schedule. So how could the hijackers have known that? I thought the whole time that she was involved too.
I kind wished it landed but only to refuel (hijackers some how manipulated the airport ground to get fuel for the plane) and take off to somewhere else for again for season 2. It's going to hard now to create a story if they are to do a season 2. Unless its Hijacking of ship perhaps lol. But it was truly an exceptional series nevertheless
I give it a 7.5 out of 10. I enjoy this mini series, but it was a lot of plot holes and unanswered questions. I still enjoy the series and will tell other people about it.
The cleaners made no sense at all. Why did they go there? Then why did they stay when it seemed the apartment was empty. Then why didn't they kill the kid immediately? They were actually cleaning the apartment at one point which was bizarre. They were wearing gloves and shoe covers. What were they cleaning? They tried to break into a Mac with out a clue to the password. I guess 'abc123' didn't work.
It seems like they bookended the series with two ridculous plot points. First, they wasted a lot of the ground personnel's time trying to figure out the nature of the emergency when all trhe pilot had to do was squawk 7500 on the transponder(hijack). Now in the last episode, after an improably "safe" landing, given the altitude and speed on approach, they had the audacity to roll up mobile stairs for disembarqation. ("Mints and wet towels , anyone?") The correct procedure would have been to deploy evacuation chutes and get everyone off within 90 seconds. What a show, intense but also funny.
How you guys rip these clips from tv series? With some screencapture or how? Also are these clips legal? I don`t really mind that but seems like every reviewer got high quality rips fir background video. Afterall these are not trailers that are in fair use scope. Anyways I love these endings explained. Thanks for that.
Okay, now... what, exactly, got explained about the ending, here? There were money men behind the stock market short. WHO? Certainly not the two who were being released from prison. They didn't set the whole thing up from behind bars, and it takes a LOT of money to finance a stock market short of that magnitude. We know none of the "hijackers" were behind it. They were either unarmed or severely under-armed for a hijacking. PLUS, they were clearly expendable. And what was the deal with the last scene with Stewart and Sam? Stewart wasn't a killer by nature-we saw the conflict in him when he had to kill someone for a photo. He had NO reason to want to kill Sam. Sam had tried to save his brother. In fact, it felt like that last conflict between him and Sam was smoke and mirrors to make us forget that there were other REAL criminals who remained untouched at the series' ending and who would not be addressed by another episode or follow-up series. I really enjoyed the show, but the ending felt like a cheat.
Because Amanda had flying experience from when she was in the navy and air traffic control were already talking to her. It would have probably been more dangerous to go and get the co pilot especially considering there was barely any fuel at that point
Yup - that was a ridiculous plot fart. An avionics consultant with flying experience is going to dead stick an airbus on a too short airstrip.@@BrainPilot
Man that finale was kinda silly IMO. The cleaners looked like a couple of dopes walking out of that apartment with Kai in tow LOL. And Sam getting back on the plane, ending up in a 1v1 with Stuart was also a bit ridiculous.
Ill be honest, stakes didn't feel high because I didnt know this was the last episode, and they played everything so safe the entire time. Amanda was the best part of the plot.
It was a great series, but if the two released prisoners were behind it all, how did they organize the massive effort to have most of the passenger and staff families in jeopardy. It seems like a lot for anyone, let alone two people in jail.
Loved every episode this show had to offer plot twist with Amanda shooting the captain & locking herself inside the cockpit.. thought it was over worth watching 🙏🏾
This short series was just awesomeness, just like the treasured "LINE OF DUTY" -- the quality of Television has gotten so much better. Next run for me will be getting off me hiney to go and see the latest film from my current favorite film director Christopher Nolan: Opphenheimer. Should I walk or run to go see it? hahaha
Loved the series and the episode reviews. I hate cliff hangar endings that are left unresolved. I came to the conclusion that the asian lady in the home office had a part in the hijack when she confirmed that there were 5 suspects and one was dead so only 4 arrests (1 female & 3 males) it was in fact 6 suspects because she didn't include stuart and she also said the bearded man was the ring leader.
I didn’t enjoy this series overall. I felt it was asking too much to believe Idris Elba could interject himself so much into the affairs of hijackers and not be killed when others on the plane were killed for a whole lot less or for nothing at all. No hijacker would allow his antics to slide. Also, Alice (the flight controller) taking charge of a situation she clearly wasn’t a part of and disobeying her boss didn’t make any sense.
I thought they had Elodie and was going to kill her anyway? Who did Amanda call and said she’s coming home to? And yeah that final face off didn’t make a lot of sense. Series was great but some things didn’t add up.
they needed to get out of jail for the money to be of any use. the plot doesn't make any logical sense. Also, selling short on an incident like that would have their trade flagged as it was probably a large one and on a specific date, which would be a huge RED flag of insider trading. So that account would get frozen and they would never see any of that money.
I liked it all except the whole Amanda story line, it felt like every choice was made for the sake of it. Firstly, why kill the captain, he literally wasn't doing anything, even when he had the opportunity he sat there debating it. Secondly, why is she cool as a cucumber one second and hysterical the next, she's not even a terrorist, she's just being blackmailed. Thirdly, get her out the cockpit, she's a random who worked in the navy, she's in no way qualified to fly a passenger jet. Escpecially when you have a first officer on the plane, who conviniently dissapeared in the last episode.
The ending was ridiculous. Like no police officers would come on to clear the plane. "We'll just wait for all the bad guys to get off the plane". I mean there were guns on the plane. I was on a plane once with a angry drunk guy, and when we landed at JFK, ten NYPD officers came on the plane. Cuffed him, and escorted him off before any of us could get off the plane.
It was because in episode 1 Kai was on an exercise bike, which Daniel knew. So by Kai saying “I’m going to travel home quickly on my bike”, it showed that something was wrong and raised suspicions as Daniel knew that he only had an exercise bike
think theres another episode to come...usually they are even numbers...4,6 or 8 they still need to tie a few loose ends. Sam getting locked in the plan was OTT. Those on screen were not the ones that organised it... nothing was by chance...seriously
What happened to the co-pilot? Why didn't she land the plane? It was a good show... but the co-pilot disappearing at the end is one of the dumbest omissions
I tried to hold it together on that decent part but they just kept showing the kids it seemed and i broke . I got two kids boy and girl . J was ready to kanehameha that cockpit door
Acting was beautiful. I watched for Idris and as I am home sick, but the story has so many unrealistic moments, it makes it silly in my opinion. would I recommend it? probably not.
Liked the show and Idris Elba was great in it. The Amanda twist in the finale felt a bit rushed and forced though. Did she really think her daughter's life would be safe after she CRASHED A PLANE INTO THE CENTRE OF LONDON 😂😂😂 on the orders of violent gangsters?
1. The guy in the suit was the dealer of the whole deal who was in possession of the guns and had to be on the plane for the plan to work. If he had failed to make it on the plane, they would have killed his family held as hostage. 2. Since Amanda was already in the cockpit and revealed as an ex navy officer, the plane was already in a great control considering the amount of time left in hand to land or crash the plane. Amanda also had her daughter and family held hostage due to which she had to shoot the pilot down and take the control of the plane until the stock market crashes.
Good series but not the ending. Why the pilot still waiting around when all the commotion was going on? He should have rush back into the cockpit and lock the door and fly the plane. After Amanda opened the door, where the heck is the First Officer? Suddenly Anna is missing - nowhere to be seen. And the ending with Stuart doesnt makes sense. Who cut him loose? Why did Sam close the door? Why not run back down and get the police to do their jobs? The ending was not clever at all.

I missed how did idris convince. Amanda that her family was ok? And how was her family ok if they were held like idris son?
Man this show was great. Apple TV is doing amazing with these TV SHOWS and should put out season 2. What a ride. I was itching every week for a new episode
Yeah they are doing some great shows at the moment!
What a show. I got a bit emotional, I was so anxious. But there’s so many more loose ends to close
Yeah there was definitely something emotional about it!
What are the loose ends you saw? I had some too.
Great show ending maybe felt a little rushed i wish they had showed what had happened to john coz that bit seemed not well explained but other than that they did well tbh as there were alot of plot holes but they all made sense and linked in with the story overall great show and idris elba was amazing as usual
Two things why didn’t sas or special forces raid the plane and why did Sam just walk out the plane like I thought they were gonna drag him and the hijacker out
The worst was him casually grabbing his phone without saying anything, WHEN A GUN WAS IN THE BATHROOM, and no one even bats an eye.
And the “cleaners” would never have believed the fire alarm was real. They knew Detective Daniel was going to show up.
@@levrocknyc And Daniel managed to get a SWAT team on site in about 10 minutes!
Hope you explain why the first officer didn’t take over the controls
I agree! So many moments made me laugh at how ridiculous the people acted😂
@@powerfultoa7 When someone you love is in danger, you tend to make erratic decisions. Also conflict's gotta conflict else we won't get past Ep1 lol.
@@imulan I've already addressed that with my "prone to weakness when faced with a personal situation". It's fine for me if a person does 1 or 2 brash choices-this pilot just kept on making so much of them.
The ending was much happier than I thought it was gonna be I was literally about to throw up in fear they were gonna crash that's how intense this show has been and how amazing the acting is lowkey made me forget it wasn't real
Yeah it was tense!
Am i slow or did i miss who was the villains that set all the plans up?
@@mrandithankyouedgar and john the one in prison with the help of their associate devlin
Anyone else notice the railway bridge in the last episode with the traffic jam scene? It was where the Great train robbery was committed
Really, really great Show: Luther in the sky with diamonds. BTW Idris Elba hinted that a second season is not completely off the table.
That would be interesting! They'd almost have to rename it though. Unless he's just an incredibly unlucky person lol
What show do we watch now guys ? This was so good! And I agree with you completely the kai thing was not necessarily needed but how they got him back was smooth . And I needed a bit more from the ending . Like the plane blew up or some ish . But it was really good
Severance and the silo if you haven’t seen them
Also asking this same question lol
@@winniefrimpong1116are they good ...thrillers ..drama ..set in England ?
@@tommycanavan8285 severance is a thriller on Apple TV exploring the idea of work life balance in a futuristic way. It’s slow paced but excellently written and shot. It could easily fit into the black mirror series. Silo is a sci-fi series exploring a seemingly post apocalyptic world. It’s not the most captivating but something to watch and still be somewhat engaged
It's okay. Nothing more and nothing less. People giving it 5 stars must be mad.
The show is clean from any sexual act which is why I would give it an A. Also, the story has been filmed professionally, however, the decisions of the PM and the home Secretary didn't make sense. I wonder wither they will say the same thing in real life
Every show without sexual act gets an A?

"Say cheese" 👌🏽
Quite literally the cheesiest line to finish the show!
That’s fair!
Best show but ending is disappointed overall best great explanation ❤️
It's a shame the ending didn't hit how you wanted it to! But thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
And the ending wasn’t pointless. Stuart wanted revenge, pretty simple reason really 🤷♂️😂
At its core, I suppose!
Great show, this season finale ending was so suspenseful, hope there’s a season 2 but I wouldn’t care too much if there wasn’t, overall great show. ❤
I’d be intrigued to see how they’d do a season 2!
Why did they not being the co pilot in to land the plane
Because Amanda had flying experience from when she was in the navy and air traffic control were already talking to her. It would have probably been more dangerous to go and get the co pilot especially considering there was barely any fuel at that point
Yup - that was a ridiculous plot fart. An avionics consultant with flying experience is going to dead stick an airbus on a too short airstrip.@@BrainPilot
I was intrigued for most of the series, but that finale was ridiculous.
That's fair!
i feel like it ended up so abruptly
They have associate like devlin , as it been said before it was an organized crime ring
Loved every episode this show had to offer plot twist with Amanda shooting the captain & locking herself inside the cockpit.. thought it was over worth watching 🙏🏾
Yeah it got more and more gripping didn’t it!
What happened to the prisoner who escaped after he killed his partner at the farm. Brilliant drama, absolutely loved every minute.
Looks like he just got away!
Great series yes some bits were far fetched but most shows are. Idris was excellent and so were the other actors !!! Well done Apple
Totally agree!
So, did they forget that they had the first officer sitting in the back while they tried to dead stick the landing???
I didn’t see episode 7but was the pilot shot dead?
I thought they had Elodie and was going to kill her anyway? Who did Amanda call and said she’s coming home to? And yeah that final face off didn’t make a lot of sense.
Series was great but some things didn’t add up.
I also got emotional when the plane landed. 🎉😢
The story was simple and intense , i love it and binge watched it , need more show like this.
Yeah it was a great show!
What about the toy?
so what happened to those 2 guys that shot edgar? i need their closure
They got away!
Just finished the show. Amazing.
I agree that unnecessary ending took something that was so intense, emotional, and a beautiful and turned it into the ending of a Gerard Butler movie.
If this was it, and there is no season 2 they should have made the finale a bit longer. Feel like there were a few loose ends
They’re planning on a season two but if they confirm it and do it won’t be on hijacking
@@luvxmatcha That works, maybe a look into that criminal org that orchestrated this
@@thee_morpheus Maybe, that would be nice .
why did sam ex told not to get into flight ? DId she know all before ? or she was trying to avoid sam ?
Loved the show but the ending about stock options being the reasoning for the hijacking was kind of disappointing
That’s fair!
How did amanda have her own gun?
I had the removed frames to avoid content ID detection.. back to watched laggy youtube videos. It's regression
they needed to get out of jail for the money to be of any use. the plot doesn't make any logical sense. Also, selling short on an incident like that would have their trade flagged as it was probably a large one and on a specific date, which would be a huge RED flag of insider trading. So that account would get frozen and they would never see any of that money.
Because of that final showdown, I think Sam was involved as well. They all had their roles to play
It’s definitely an interesting thought!
He said say cheese cos Stuart said it to him in ep 3
I can see a season two happening, especially if the views go up.
It will be interesting to see how they make a season 2!
Man I thought Sam was going to die at end
Yeah same!
If the plan was to land the plane how were the hijackers supposed to scape???
So what happened to Amanda's daughter ??
Turned out she was okay lol
The ending was ridiculous. Like no police officers would come on to clear the plane. "We'll just wait for all the bad guys to get off the plane". I mean there were guns on the plane. I was on a plane once with a angry drunk guy, and when we landed at JFK, ten NYPD officers came on the plane. Cuffed him, and escorted him off before any of us could get off the plane.
Anyone know why Amanda killed the pilot?
I didn’t understand the whole bike reference at the end . Can anyone explain?
It was because in episode 1 Kai was on an exercise bike, which Daniel knew. So by Kai saying “I’m going to travel home quickly on my bike”, it showed that something was wrong and raised suspicions as Daniel knew that he only had an exercise bike
think theres another episode to come...usually they are even numbers...4,6 or 8 they still need to tie a few loose ends. Sam getting locked in the plan was OTT. Those on screen were not the ones that organised it... nothing was by chance...seriously
No that was the season finale - no more unfortunately!
What happened to the co-pilot? Why didn't she land the plane? It was a good show... but the co-pilot disappearing at the end is one of the dumbest omissions
What happened to First Officer Anna Kovacs?
She made it out okay - she was just with the passengers and crew at the end
@@BrainPilot Considering she is an actual pilot, wouldn't she have been quite useful for landing the plane?
I literally just finished ep 7 and I’m pissed to find out there’s no episode 8. 🙄
It's a shame! But I think it definitely ended at the right time!
I just KNEW Sam was in on the plot smh. Good watch tho.
Pilots family? No? No justice? Erm ok
Did she really think her daughter's life would be safe after she CRASHED A PLANE INTO THE CENTRE OF LONDON 😂😂😂 on the orders of violent gangsters?
few questions - why did the guy in the suit need to be on the flight? and secondly, what happened to the first officer?? why didn't she land the plane
Amanda also had her daughter and family held hostage due to which she had to shoot the pilot down and take the control of the plane until the stock market crashes.
so it's just a coincidence that he is a trader and also had to bring the guns on?@@Monstrous.Mistry
Eh let's me honest u would want the co pilot in that cockpit 😂
@@joshuanesbit Nope, It was rather a planned one by OCG than a mere coincidence. OCG had his family captivated forcing him to do the things for them.
Anyone have any suggestions on good action/thriller series on Apple TV?
