A duffel bag is a particular type of bag which is traditionally green, made of extremely durable material and can be filled up to around 4 ft tall and about 18 inches in diameter and it closes at the top by overlapping the ends of the bag. There are specialty bags that are roughly the same size that open on the side for easier access that can also be considered duffel bags. They're issued to every soldier (and I presume other services.) I have 5 of them left over in my garage. Now some smaller bags may be sold as duffel bags, but they're not really such. They're like hoverboards aren't the hoverboards people wanted from Back to the Future 2. The Weekender is just that. A mid-sized bag for several days. It's nothing more than a fancy get home bag. And that black tote was a gay-looking man purse. BTW, you're spending just as much time in this discussion as I am. I'm passing time due to boredom. What's your excuse? lol
