Chronologically. The best way to discover the mighty Led Zeppelin is to start at the beginning, and listen to all of their studio albums, one by one, song by song, to the last one. Screw rabbit holes. You are on the best sonic rollercoaster ever. So ride it right, and turn that shit up, man!
To listen on his own yes. But, for on here, he has to do the videos. Not just audio. Everyone says listen to the albums but, then the reactors end up playing only audio and it's no fun without the videos. I guess it's fine for me to talk. I've been a Zeppelin head since my teens in the mid 70s when I had all their albums and it was before MTV.
I agree. There isn’t a bad song on the first two albums, they are all kick ass. One song a video sounds about right. Dazed and Confused is another kicker.
Double-neck guitar: one neck is a 6-string, the other neck is a 12-string. It's used so the guitarist doesn't have to change guitars in the middle of a song. You'll also see the the double-neck used in Led Zep's song, "Stairway to Heaven."
Led Zeppelin was the name of the band, and was composed of four very gifted musicians. Jimmy Page - guitarist, wrote their music, band founder/leader Robert Plant - vocalist, lyricist John Paul Jones - bass and keys, arranger John Bonham - monster drummer, sadly unexpectedly passed away at age 30 Regarding the guitars, 12- and 6-string guitars have different sounds. Page had a double-neck made for him when he wrote "Stairway to Heaven". During studio recordings, he could switch between guitars (he played at least 3 different guitars during the studio recording, both acoustic and electric), but that was impossible to do during live performances since he was the band's only guitarist. He wanted more than a single 6-string to perform the song, and a few others. Best rock band in history. If you're going to take a deeper dive into their music, I recommend starting with album 1 and working through their discography - only taking recommendations means you'll miss out on too many gems, and you won't get the full breadth of this band's genius. Enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
John-Paul Jones [ the bass / keyboard player ] also had a 3 neck guitar, including a mandolin neck. Some of their arrangements were so complex, and there were only 4 of them [ except for one track ], so they might need to switch from 6 string to 12 string to mandolin during a song, & the multiple necks were easier than actually swapping guitars on stage.
Jimmy had it made for him to play Stairway to Heaven live. One neck was acoustic and the other for electric. Last year at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Jimmy was on to induct Link Wray and his class song Rumble. To play it Jimmy brought his double neck. People in the audience were freaking out going 'the double neck. Look. The double neck'. So cool.
Four brilliant musicians. "Since I Been Lovin' You" and "Stairway to Heaven" live from MSG are great videos. If you are doing the whole albums then chronologically is probably best. One of the greatest bands.
Led Zeppelin is the name of the band, not one person, 4 geniuses that are each The GOAT Of their Crafts together they are The GODS Of MUSIC! The powerful vocals of Robert Plant & harmonica * lead guitar wizard Jimmy Page, also the band founder & producer & editor of their music * the music man John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin among other instruments * the greatest drummer ever John Bonham (Bonzo). Everything they did was the greatest music, Rock Blues Funk Folk Reggae Prog, & done to perfection. The band played from August 19,1968 until September 25, 1980, when sadly the greatest drummer passed away. This was a music video, their studio & live concert performances are outstanding. PLEASE do a Whole Lotta more Led Zeppelin, they will blow your mind. Thank you for your reaction.
So you’ve done Pink Floyd properly. Very happy to see you getting into Led Zeppelin! These guys are AWESOME! You need to explore The Beatles next in the sequence in which their albums were released. Seriously! After that there will be further suggestions. You are currently working your way through the 70s. There are more fantastic British bands to come. Love your reactions! Keep it coming.
They are the GOAT's, React to the whole 1973 MSG LIVE concert, the best concert ever! And watch the movie *"The Song Remains the Same"* from that concert it will blow your f*** mind
Start with the first album and then go through them all one at a time. Jimmy Page is the greatest guitar player from that era. Watch the Stairway to Heaven video from Madison Square Garden 1973 one of the greatest guitar solos ever recorded, you will get to see that double neck guitar in action.
As a musician, I have only recommended a couple band,, yet there is more then Led Zep.... You can never go wrong in your reactions to this band, as it was what kept me from blowing my brains out as a stupid kid in the age of rock and roll..... Its about time you did this,, and I look forward to many more L.Z. songs, but no matter will love your exploration into the world of Rock and Roll no matter what... keep them coming, and GOD Bless You forever!! I love you! Aho!
Awesome! I just found your channel a couple days ago via your Pink Floyd reactions which I loved. I was literally just looking for your page again to comment that you should do zeppelin! Would love to see you go through their albums as well! If you go individual songs I'd suggest - dazed and confused, when the levee breaks, no quarter, kashmir, since I've been loving you... There are many more, they don't really miss
I grew up on these guys more than any other, and there was a lot. Do a whole album reaction like you did with Floyd. There isn't a bad song by them (I know that sounds like an opinion but it's not) so you'll be flowin the whole time. Start with Led Zep 1 and work your way on up. You'll probably never see Rock-n-Roll the same again. They are what's it's all about.
🎸💯 Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" is 🔥‼️ Check out The Eagles "Hotel California" to see another "double neck" guitar featured! EVERYBODY needs to check out that video, too! ☮️❤️🎶
Jimmy Page, the lead guitarist used the double-guitar for convenience. The top guitar is a 12 string; the bottom a 6 string. He found that during concerts he could achieve distinct sounds using both guitars and it was easier just to use a double guitar than to put one down and pick up a different guitar as much of their music was fast-paced. Loved your reaction!
The name of the band is a reference to an opinion expressed by a former band mate of the guitarist. The new band will fly like a lead Zeppelin hence Led Zeppelin!!😁😁😁👍🏻
In the start Jimmy uses a cello bow on his guitar to make those "weird" sounds. This song over 50+ years old! Best rock/blues band ever. Can`t go wrong with LZ Live reactions. Best 1 IMO is `73 MSG "Dazed and Confused" a bit long but worth the watch!
@sicotshit7068 In this number it is the bow . I was lucky enough to see them do this live at Nebworth in the 70s. Can't remember which track had the theramone but I do recall he did play it.
@ I know once when I told a reactor about the bow, someone said he didn’t use it on this song, live at Royal Albert Hall (1970), they don’t show which he’s using or both.
Jimmy Page on guitar is the band leader. He writes the basic frame work of every song, is one of the engineers in the recording booth, and picked all the other members of the band to fulfill his image. Robert Plant has some of the best rock vocals ever (I saw Plant and Page in concert in 1997.) John Bonham is one of the (if not the best) best drummers ever, and John Paul Jones on bass;/keys is another studio pro with years of innovation under his belt. For 12 years this band was very dominant in the music world. RAMBLE ON, LEMON SONG, WHAT IS AND WHAT SHOULD NEVER BE, OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY.......and about 50 other songs are classics.

I was 12 when I first heard this. I'm 68 now and still get the vibe when I hear it. 😎
Led Zeppelin is the best rock band of all time.
This was before auto tune when you had to know how to sing .

Number one selling and biggest band of the 70's.
Zeppelin is the greatest band in history!! EVERY SINGLE SONG!!!
That double neck is a Gibson EDS-1275. The top neck is a 12 string and the bottom is a 6 string.
John-Paul Jones [ the bass / keyboard player ] also had a 3 neck guitar, including a mandolin neck. Just the coolest Heavy Rock. They were effortless in their charisma. It just oozes from them.
Jimmy involved a theremine during this song. I saw it in another music video.
So cool.
@@DianeLake-sw3ym it's an electric guitar. Either clean or distorted, not acoustic.

Just start with Led Zeppelin l and keep on going. They rock!!
You are at the tip of the music iceberg!! ❤️✌️

One of the greatest rock bands of all time.
Not one of, they are the GREATEST band of all time!!!
Double neck is for solo (6 strings) & rhythm (12 for fullness) “Kashmir” rocks. Shake for me girl I wanna be your back door man.
Led Zeppelin’s most iconic song, definitely most recognizable riff
debatable when you have stairway, immigrant song, kashmir etc.
When The Levee Breaks and Dazed And Confused but theres a lot that you cant go wrong with
I’m so glad you’re now goin down the Zeppelin rabbit hole my friend!!!! Do Ramble On!!!
Nice play on words, he will discover

It was an amazing experience each time
💯💥❣️
in terms of live performances to react to next, anything from danmarks radio 1969, royal albert hall 1970 and madison square garden 1973
You most definitely have to react to their concert movie "The Song Remains The Same " for the total Led Zeppelin experience!!!
This is important
All of them!!
Kashmir & Stairway to Heaven.
This album came out when I was in high school. Watching the kids see it for the first time brings back memories. It was a nice time to be alive.
Watch Stairway to Heaven live, 1973 at Madison Square Garden. Then you will understand the double neck guitar.
The Lemon Song
Loaded with talent from top to bottom

Led Zeppelin does many genres, & does each to perfection.

1’s 6 strings & other’s 12 I believe, either that or it just looked super freakin awesome back in the 70’s lol
Nope he plays both sets of strings, especially on Madison Square Garden (1973) Stairway To Heaven live, you can watch him use both.
Bonham was not a drummer to be replaced😢RIP Bonzo, still missed❤.
Loved this band for 55 years. Still turn up the volume for them😂😂😂❤
Double neck is typically a 6 string and a 12 string
I subscribe after three LZ's, look forward to the next one!
Yes I wait to subscribe too, I’m here for Led Zeppelin journeys.

All of em

Kezzy: what is that? 2 guitars in 1? how do you even play that?
Rick Nielsen: hold my beer...
Robert 'The Golden Viking God' Plant of Rock.
The strange sound was made by a bow being used on the guitar.
I think it sounds like the violin bow too, but it’s said Page uses the theremin, sounds like both to me.
@sicotshit7068 In this number it is the bow . I was lucky enough to see them do this live at Nebworth in the 70s. Can't remember which track had the theramone but I do recall he did play it.
