Robert Plant wrote Thank you for his wife, she supported him with his career aspirations & financially, she was a nurse. He had worked & played in bands, but she had the study income. They dated for about 2 years, & married shortly after Led Zeppelin came together, they married on November 9,1968.
An ESSENTIAL component of LZ was their love of Mississippi Delta Blues from the 1920s and 1930s.....and that music was ALL ABOUT being tortured by a woman's affection and sex and alcohol addiction. SERIOUSLY
It's funny watching a lot of these reaction vids people go the personal route, when I always took it as you have it here: it's just plain ol' storytelling, especially of the Americana/blues type of stuff.
Singer Robert Plant has the greatest vocals, his range tone & textures, & always suit each song perfectly. Sometime you’ll want to check out some of their lives, from each album, their lives are incredible. Each song is never performed exactly the same, their improv is amazing, & they are still like 4 parts of the same amazing musician. From the first album, Royal Albert Hall (1970), has some great lives. Thank you for your reaction. Great blues sound, from 4 white guys from England, Plant’s vocals are killer for blues & really all music.
I just subscribed today, after his reaction to Led Zep 1 and now Led Zep 2?!! This is FIRE!!! Keep this up and he will be the GOAT!!! Keep going with these awesome full album reactions by Led Zep! Don't forget to do their live concert albums when you get done with the studio albums.....they are magic live!
John Bonham, the best rock drummer ever, is using his bare hands playing his drum set!! Then he switches to his sticks, and finishes..! Yes, Moby Dick is an incredible drum solo!!
Awesome reactions bro. Please make sure you do the concert film “the song remains the same”. It portrays zeppelin in a light that the albums DO NOT. The albums are legendary but the live performance showcases the musicians true talent and chemistry with one another. The best time to watch the concert would be after you make it past the studio album “houses of the holy”. If you’re truly enjoying zeppelin you will be blown away by the concert
Led Zeppelin has the GOAT vocalist, the GOAT guitarist, the GOAT bassist/keyboardist, and the GOAT drummer. Together they make awesome music.. they are the greatest.
Had a party at my house (1980) a girl was singing " living lovin' Kentucky woman" she wasn't very happy when I corrected her on the lyrics and said " she's just a woman".
Zeppelin III is several acoustic songs, but still a great album, the live at Madison Square Gardens (1973) of since I’ve Been loving you is one of their greatest lives.John Bonham’s 15 minute drum solo live at Royal Albert Hall (1970), is a must watch, he even kills it banging it out with his hands. Greatest drummer ever, he preformed his solo over 200 times.
You've got SO MUCH ASTONISHMENT & GLORY ahead of you. When you get to the "Physical Graffiti" album, that's where the band reaches their apex. REALLY looking forward to your LZ journey....!!!!!
Yes, for everyone who likes uniform hard rock, i.e. military sound: very one-sidedly produced by JP (not a god, more like a "foggy" egoist at the time), RP mixed as an instrument, sometimes hard rock raspy. I only ever listened to side 3, which was fantastic and of course Dying... . Yes, the tastes are that different👍✌, P.S. Back then, DLP was a status symbol for the top artists: White, Exile, Tales, Works. Songs, Goodbye... ; for me it was more about self-realizations. PG consists of 1/3 old songs.
You're not the only one who's made that mistake. I pointed out a Led zeppelin t-shirt to my daughter, and she said, "I've heard of him. " I told her,"led zeppelin is actually a them, " to which she replied,"Okay, them. how would I know their pronouns!??!"
If you're falling in love with guitar then you need to check out Steevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood, live at the El Macambo. Basically a 10 minute guitar solo by one of the best.
Have really enjoyed your reaction to the first two albums, and I hope you continue on. The cool thing about listening to full albums is that you're going to find a lot of hidden gems, songs that don't always get recommended, and some of those songs could well end up being your own favorites! Edit: If you're in the mood for some live a this point, this would be a good place to react to their 1970 Royal Albert Hall concert. The songs were mostly from their first two albums and for an added treat, they performed a few songs that didn't end up on a studio album so you wouldn't otherwise get to hear them. All great stuff!
I'm 72 years old. I saw LED ZEPPELIN🔥 in 1970, my senior year in high school! My first concert and my first hit of acid!🤪 The story we heard way back in the day was that John Bonham was playing on one of Jimmy Page's empty guitar cases on "Ramble On". Don't know if that was true or not, but it sounds like something "Gonzo" would do!💯🤗❤️✌️
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The band comprised Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. With a heavy, guitar-driven sound and drawing from influences including blues and folk music, Led Zeppelin are cited as a progenitor of hard rock and heavy metal. Robert Plant(lead singer/front man/harmonica); John Paul Jones(bass/piano/organ/syth/guitar/background vocals); Jimmy Page(lead guitar/acoustic guitar/mandolin/background vocals); John Bonham(drums/percussions/Bong)
For the future, just so you know, you're supposed to let livin lovin maid play with heartbreaker like they're one song. They always played it like that, back to back, in the radio. They might still do that.
Subscribed because you are doing LZ right!!! Start at the beginning. Appreciate your reacts BIG time. :) LZ, greatest of all time!! Best catalog ever!!
OH YES!!! Killa album of my gloriously misspent youth in the mid 1970s. LOVE IT. And I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your reaction to hearing it for the first time!
It's the Blues they always sing about women, love troubles, money troubles. Things that make you feel blue inside and you feel better when you listen to the blues.
For some reason I will never fathom because it is such a banger, Jimmy Page hates Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman) and the band never performed the song live.
When the band started to take off..Robert Plant was in a commited relationship and she gave him an ultimatum and not go with the band and he chose his dream..I'm sure was a hard choice...grateful he did.❤
It's never too late to start playing a guitar, you fingers won't bleed unless you play around the clock. You're at a gettogether and spot a guitar pick it up and start playing a few things and see how your night changes. There are plenty of affordable electric guitars and amps that play well. Acoustic is nice too you can play it anywhere. You can play one and then play the other as they are essentially the same. Bass is funky too.
Any good music teacher would have you soak your fretting fingers in Alum (gives pickles their crispness) diluted in water like my violin teacher did. It toughens the skin naturally while you build up your callouses.
Loving your reactions my guy. Pink Floyd now Led Zeppelin, two of some of my favorite bands. I grew up a hip hop head (in the 90's) with funk, disco, old r&b, and rock & roll in my head because of my parent's influence. I remember giving these albums a first listen and understood why they are so loved. Keep going my guy you're only gonna broaden your horizons and can I request something different? Like Rage Against The Machine? Different era and sound, but instrumental in their respective decade inspiring people.
I just love seeing people experiencing LZ for the first time, especially a whole album! Our teenage years for so many of us. GREAT music and great times. Ramble on! Really great musicians, and John Bonham was one of the best drummers ever (also see Neil Peart, Rush, another rabbit hole for you to experience). Thanks so much for these reactions.
Led Zeppelin II is the second album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 22 October 1969 in the United States and on 31 October 1969 in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Record. Do react to Led Zeppelin 3
That "Led does this and that" shit was epic. *Loved every second of it, bro!* I'm rediscovering Led Zeppelin partly through watching your reaction vids. One thing I rediscovered: I played Zeppelin IV to DEATH in high school. I still cannot listen to that album. And I went to high school last _millennium._
I would ve loved to see Led Zep. never did...but i saw Robert Plant on his first solo tour in 1983 at the Forum of Montreal and only a few years ago i found out who the drummer was ! I ll let you on this ! lol !😋😎
Heartbreaker has an actual rare guitar solo and Moby Dick has an even more rare drum solo. Most songs have instrumental sections that people like to call solos. Just FYI.
I love seeing you, learn the greatest music we had back when there was real instruments and singing and Pink Floyd and bands back then wrote their own music lyrics, loving every minute of this, but still want you eventually react Pink Floyd Pulse 94 remastered ❤v
Keep on rockin'. Hope to see Zeppelin III next. It's my favorite Zeppelin album but got panned when it was release because it wasn't hard rocking enough for the critics.
It's so cool seeing someone discover and appreciate this phenomenal music! I wish I could listen to them for the first time again. You're in for a treat, some of their later albums have some Pink Floydesque songs on them ;)
Great reaction video. Can't wait for LZ lll. I have a couple of song suggestions for you. A live video of Grand Funk Railroad performing "Inside Looking Out" (1969) and Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" live in Paris (1970). So much fantastic music for you to discover!
I was a goofy young teen drummer back in the day an my much cooler older sister introduced me to Led Zep in the early 70’s The song “What is and should never be” was I believe the first Zep song I learned & tried to play correctly A few little later I realized I’m no John Bonham but what the hell I still try. 😂😂😂
OH & thought maaaybe ya would be interested in reading about how the **Sounds** were being made in **Whole Lotta Love** by the being who made them himself **MyJimmyPageMagicalMusicalGeniusWizardBabe** heh YAY "Jimmy Page clearly had a ton of material to choose from when he sat down to curate the previously unreleased material included in the upcoming Led Zeppelin reissues. During a recent interview with Guitar World, he opened up about the selection process behind one of the tracks: an early take of 'Whole Lotta Love' from 1969's 'Led Zeppelin II.' "At this point in the song’s evolution, I knew in my head how the whole arrangement was going to go, but I wanted people to hear how focused we were on creating a foundation that was intense," Page responded when asked why he chose that particular performance. "And it is intense!...I think [Robert Plant]’s performance on this track is also a revelation. He’s just singing a guide vocal, but it’s pretty damn good, isn’t it? And even though you only hear some of the drums, little bits of the final Theremin part and some of Robert’s vocal in the middle section, it’s really atmospheric and stands on its own merits." No 'Whole Lotta Love' discussion would be complete without a few words about how the band created the array of oddball noises in the middle section, and Page gamely shared a few bits of information, saying, "I knew what I wanted, and I knew how to go about it. It was just a matter of doing it. I created most of the sounds with a Theremin and my guitar. The Theremin generates most of higher pitches and my Les Paul makes the lower sounds." Obviously, it isn't quite that simple. "I de-tuned it radically and just basically pulled on the strings to make an assortment of growling noises," continued Page. "Evil sounds that you’re not supposed to hear on commercial radio. [laughs] I might’ve de-tuned it to a chord, but really I’m just pulling on strings and making them howl! And then, during the mix, with the aid of engineer Eddie Kramer, we did all the panning and added the effects, including using Low Frequency Oscillators on the tape machine to really pull the whole thing down and lift it back up so the sound is moving in rhythm. It was something no one had ever done before in that context, let alone in the middle of a song. That’s how forward thinking we were, that’s how avant-garde it was, and that’s how much fun we were having." It was all ultimately due to what Page referred to as the "advantage of having artistic control." As he put it, "None of that might’ve happened if had an outside producer. They might’ve questioned, or not understood, what I was doing, or thought I was just making a bunch of noise. I was able to make sure our ideas were carried out without interference.""
17:39 HELL NO! Starting guitar has been one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. Just remember that even legends like Jimmy page were once just starting out. I would try to pick up a guitar and maybe even live stream it, I would love watching a stream like that! (Love the content bro keep it up ❤❤❤)
Loved watching your first time reaction to LZ 2! It is how i reacted when I first listened to it 55 years ago … The song from their first album that you say the Lemon Song sounds like the continuation of is I Can’t QuitYou Baby. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 PS: I was lucky enough to have seen them live in 1972 shortly after they released their 4th album!
🎸💯 KezzyBoii, you're becoming a Led head now! Now that I see you're REALLY doing the LZ albums in order & in their entirety, I'm your sub "for life"! ☮️❤️🎶
You gave a lot of praise to Robert Plant's vocals and Jimmy Page on the guitar in your LED ZEPPELIN 1 reaction. This time, I'd like to hear you shout out John Paul Jones on the bass and especially John Bonham on the drums! They drive the beat so Plant and Page can show off!💯🤗❤️✌️
John Bonham is a brilliant Drummer. His drum solo in "Moby Dick" doesn't do him justice. It's basically a peice inspired by him warming up. His real talent is providing the perfect beat for Music played by other musicians. He is fantastic at enhancing the songs he is part of with constant unique bars that perfectly fit the beat and the emotion and seamlessly blend musical ideas. I don't know why they chose this as an actual track, because it is an almost random display of different sounds halfhazerdly strung together and really doesn't come close to expressing Bonhams talent as a drummer. But it should be noted that this is usually the kind of warmup interlude Bonham was famous for doing in concerts for like ten minutes straight. It gave the band time to go to the restroom, have something to drink, maybe something to smoke, and then walk up on stage, the entire time Bonham was keeping the audience engaged, and virtually any live performance was ten times better than this canned studio solo, because Bonham needed music, or an audience, to play off of. He had neighther in the studio if he was alone. Databyter
The last song, Bring it on home. They were not mimicking, but were paying homage. All these London guys were heavily influenced by Black Southern Blues of the late 50's and 60's. Real old salty stuff. And they had a lot of old style blues albums from America.
Don’t ever feel dumb Bro! You are jumping off the deep end with some of these classic bands. That would be like me being able to name rap artists. You are awesome in my book!
Great reaction. Be careful not to end the song too soon. And the reason you liked Whole Lotta Love more this time is because the first time you listened to the remaster where they cut out 25 seconds of the middle. That's a bad thing they did.😢 Yes, that was a GD drum solo.😅 Moby Dick is Bonham's song. He's the favorite drummer of many current great drummers. Misty Mountain Hop is my favorite LZ song and because of the drumming. Awesome!! Keep going!! ✌️🤠 yehaw!!
The Lemon Song is an arrangement of Howlin' Wolf's Killing Floor. No-Good Women are Blues standard. you can still learn guitar. have to get used to sore fingers until you build up calluses, but it's lots of fun. JPJ's bass on What Is And What Should Never Be, The Lemon Song, and Ramble On is so peak. don't skip Zep III, but i can't wait for you to get to Zep IV. also can't wait for you to get to Black Sabbath.
Next time you do a listening party, I have a few suggestions. “Outer Space”by Skodi ( pronounced “Scotty” ). “Back” by Skodi. “I Don’t Like You” by Skodi. “Trap” by Skodi. “1984” by Skodi. “Stacy’s Sister” by Skodi ( this one’s like a ballad / R&B ). “Sauce Em Up” by Skodi. “Way Down” by Skodi. “South Side” by Skodi. “FWM” by Skodi. “Rage Quit” by Skodi. “Crack Baby” by Skodi. “Billie and Mandy” by Skodi. “Laugh” by Mz G. “0 Tolerance” by Mz G. “Funds” by Mz G. “The High” by Neanni Aka and Amilli Thoughts. “In My City Done” by Awall, Amilli Thoughts and Neanni Aka.

As 67 year old Zeppelin, I can even dance to Whole Lotta love!! LZ is the best even now!!!
Singer Robert Plant has the greatest vocals, his range tone & textures, & always suit each song perfectly. NOBODY IS BETTER THAN ZEPPELIN!!
NOBODY#1 Rockband💋
This is why you’re the GOAT of reactors homie

One of the most iconic songs to open a rock album ever made
John Bonham, the best rock drummer ever, is using his bare hands playing his drum set!! Then he switches to his sticks, and finishes..! Yes, Moby Dick is an incredible drum solo!!
Awesome reactions bro. Please make sure you do the concert film “the song remains the same”. It portrays zeppelin in a light that the albums DO NOT. WHOLE ALBUM: FIRE BANGERS!!!! ENJOY the JOURNEY!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You're thinking of I Can't Quit You Baby from album one. The lyrics on The Lemon Song uses ' quit you baby' in one part.
Led Zeppelin has the GOAT vocalist, the GOAT guitarist, the GOAT bassist/keyboardist, and the GOAT drummer. Together they make awesome music.. they are the greatest.
Well you may be sober but i smoked a nice bowl and listened to my favorite band OF ALL TIME with you! Thanks man! ❤
Ditto
Had a party at my house (1980) a girl was singing " living lovin' Kentucky woman" she wasn't very happy when I corrected her on the lyrics and said " she's just a woman".

You've got SO MUCH ASTONISHMENT & GLORY ahead of you. When you get to the "Physical Graffiti" album, that's where the band reaches their apex. REALLY looking forward to your LZ journey....!!!!!
When Zep gave us a double album it wasn't fair to the others :P
Yes, for everyone who likes uniform hard rock, i.e. military sound: very one-sidedly produced by JP (not a god, more like a "foggy" egoist at the time), RP mixed as an instrument, sometimes hard rock raspy.

Oh yeah!!!!
@ursgeiser6570 Jimmy and JPJ are musical geniuses!!!
You're not the only one who's made that mistake. I pointed out a Led zeppelin t-shirt to my daughter, and she said, "I've heard of him. " I told her,"led zeppelin is actually a them, " to which she replied,"Okay, them. how would I know their pronouns!??!"
😂
I love generational language differences.
Girls barely listen to what their parents r talking about unless they are asking or wanting something… just a secret I’ve learned from having one lol
Is there any man actually called Led? It's not Les Zeppelin 😅.
Kids today!!
😂😂😂I can’t!😂😂😂
If you're falling in love with guitar then you need to check out Steevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood, live at the El Macambo. Basically a 10 minute guitar solo by one of the best.
I second that!! 🎸
Thanks for pulling the Led out again! Pure fire! ✌️❤️
Still with you! Next!!!
You are excited like we were waiting for the next album.
Have really enjoyed your reaction to the first two albums, and I hope you continue on. The cool thing about listening to full albums is that you're going to find a lot of hidden gems, songs that don't always get recommended, and some of those songs could well end up being your own favorites!

Bonzo played the first part of the drum solo on Moby Dick with his hands. That's why it sounded softer, like bongos. Dude was an animal.

You skipped Led Zeppelin 4???
He’s gonna go crazy on Achilles Last Stand
Definitely hit the 3rd album next.
You are my all time favorite reactor EVER

Started learning classical guitar last year, at 52 years old.
Still going, and now playing a Pink Floyd song 🎉
Led Zeppelin: together they were really perfect. All I can be a grateful that it even exists.
Loving your reactions my guy. Pink Floyd now Led Zeppelin, two of some of my favorite bands. He wrote Thank you for his wife.
When i was 12 years old my parents let me purchase my own music and this was the album I chose. 12 at 1973.
When I was about 12 I was given a dubbed copy of LZ IV and it blew my mind. That would have been 1985 I switched from VH to LZ
Robert sang and played Harmonica so the ONLY thing Led Zeppelin was missing.... a residential Triangle Player! 😂
While Zeppelin only gets stranger from here on out (In the best way) they never forget a 3 bar blues song now and then like The Lemon Song.

if you keep going with Led Zepellin live performances will be shocking :) great job with reactions, greetings from Italy
The Song Remains The Same is a great concert film from Led Zeppelin.
Gish & Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins. 👍🏼

That’s how forward thinking we were, that’s how avant-garde it was, and that’s how much fun we were having."
It was all ultimately due to what Page referred to as the "advantage of having artistic control." As he put it, "None of that might’ve happened if had an outside producer. They might’ve questioned, or not understood, what I was doing, or thought I was just making a bunch of noise. I was able to make sure our ideas were carried out without interference.""
lemon song .... lyrics squeeze my lemon till the juice runs down my .. lol he hurtin so good ...lol
17:39 HELL NO! Starting guitar has been one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. Just remember that even legends like Jimmy page were once just starting out. I would try to pick up a guitar and maybe even live stream it, I would love watching a stream like that! (Love the content bro keep it up ❤❤❤)
Hell no it’s not too late. Stop it with that. It’s never too late. Now go get yourself a guitar and have fun!!!! Enjoy the journey. ❤❤❤
And it keeps you young. Every piano player in a bar lives to 108.😅
Loved watching your first time reaction to LZ 2! It is how i reacted when I first listened to it 55 years ago …
The song from their first album that you say the Lemon Song sounds like the continuation of is I Can’t QuitYou Baby. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
PS: I was lucky enough to have seen them live in 1972 shortly after they released their 4th album!
Love it when you say you are ready for that. I can hear the cry go up Oh no your not.😅
Led is back on lead guitar!
OOOOH daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam HOLY WOW i am TOO **Excited** ahahaha WEEEEEEEEEEEE *GET IT* k goin IN F YEA!!!

Led Zeppelin is legendary. One of my favorite bands of all time!
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
Hell yes kezzy❤ Check out Close to The Edge- Yes
🎸💯 KezzyBoii, you're becoming a Led head now! Now that I see you're REALLY doing the LZ albums in order & in their entirety, I'm your sub "for life"! ☮️❤️🎶
It's not this song or that..... this album or that..... it's just....... Zeppelin 👍😁✌️🖖
The more you listen to them and hear new songs, the more you will have new favorites...it's foolish! There are simply too many amazing songs to rank.
You gave a lot of praise to Robert Plant's vocals and Jimmy Page on the guitar in your LED ZEPPELIN 1 reaction. This time, I'd like to hear you shout out John Paul Jones on the bass and especially John Bonham on the drums! They drive the beat so Plant and Page can show off!💯🤗❤️✌️
Well done , didn’t realise you had already done it ..❤
The one album I wish I could go back and listen to for the first time again.
I’m sorry watching your journey into Zepp & Floyd has been refreshing
That’s why they had the best drummer
Nice how ''every inch of my love'' got past the censors. and the Lemon Song, too.
Top, as usual!
By the time you get to In Thru the Out Door album you will have experienced the evolution of a band.
Moby Dick - One of the drum solos that made John Bonham a legend
wait till you get to led zep 4, the masterpiece. and physical graffiti is my desert island album... if I had just one to take, that's the one
You need to get Sairway to Heaven (not live) as one of your reactions. It is amazing
Don’t ever feel dumb Bro! You are jumping off the deep end with some of these classic bands. That would be like me being able to name rap artists. You are awesome in my book!
Great reaction!
Great reaction. Be careful not to end the song too soon. And the reason you liked Whole Lotta Love more this time is because the first time you listened to the remaster where they cut out 25 seconds of the middle. That's a bad thing they did.😢
Yes, that was a GD drum solo.😅 Moby Dick is Bonham's song.
I think you might be referring to "I Can't Quit You Baby" from the LZ 1 album...
Jimmy Page loved the old blues music. Can you tell.wow

Theramin
They play with emotion
