Согласно легенде, ловец снов обладает способностью улавливать сны. Считается, что если повесить ловец снов над кроватью или другим местом, где вы спите, он будет ловить сны, которые летают по воздуху ночью. Хорошие сны попадают в паутину (сеть) и скользят по перьям к спящему человеку, а плохие сны остаются в паутине (сети) и выходят наружу, где рассеиваются с первыми лучами солнца.
