3:28 I can only imagine a TF movie with Lugnut transforming his arms, divebombing onto some poor sod, and sucker punching them through the sky. Then, in a blaze of excellence, he flies unscathed from a hellfire explosion. One can only dream.
Now if only Bayverse Lockdown was even half as intimidating, threatening, or even as cool looking as the animated Lockdown... hell, even the old ROTF deluxe HFTD Lockdown's design would of been a better choice then the over grown human that was AOE Lockdown
Okay, so I'm watching Terminator 2 for the first time, and I just paused when Schwarzenegger said "Knives and stabbing weapons" just to watch this review again. I finally get that joke now!
I remember a long time ago, i really wanted this figure, but it was unbelievably hard to find in my Town. I searched Everywhere trying to find this figure along with Windcharger and other figures that i wanted, but to no avail. Until one day i checked a website called TFW2005 and found out that they were sighted at a small discount Store named Ross, Excited, i went down to my local store and went in, and sitting there on the Aisle of obscure toys, but the Very figure going for 10 dollars. It was one hell of a Bargain. :) Now, The same figure is sitting proudly on my shelf alongside my other decepticons. Pretty awesome toy for the big hulking mean machine that is Lugnut.
Feel your pain man :( the only RTS toys I saw in stores was Mindset (HFTD Hailstorm repaint) and the Cyclonus/Rodimus 2 Pack. I did find Jazz and Tracks in of all places CVS
I remember years ago I really wanted this figure, but it was unbelievably hard to find in my town. Now the same figure, is still unbelievably hard to find in my town.
PUNCH OF KILL EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did i emphasize it enough
RTS Lugnut's toy is in many ways, transcendent and marvellous and just freaking fantastic to look at. The world can never have enough Lugnut toys because this toy is enough in alot of ways, such a beautiful toy deserves so much love, Epic review as always Thew!
This has got to be one of my favorite releases within the last few years.....very nice. And I do especially like the older vehicle transformers. I think they need to do some more. To be most accurate though, it would be nice if they were all the same time period. We had an old WWI Bi-plane (forget his name) We had Highbrow which was pure WWII era. But Lugnut could only be from right after WWII with his large jets. Jets weren't common in WWII (I think only the Nazi's used em & only @ wars end)
the production quality is getting better y'know- always worth the wait that rodimus/ cyclonus boxset comes with a comic that retroactively puts lugnut not only into the g1 universe but at the battle for autobot city in 2005!! and speaking of cyclonus yaay my cyclonus is on the shelf!! nearly at 100!!!
If we ever get a Generations Lugnut, here's what else there should be: Sideways, Demolisher (Armada and Energon), Tidal Wave, Cyclonus (Armada), Mirage (Energon), Evac, Snowcat, Mudflap, maybe Crosswise.
Just a heads-up: the plane-mode weapon is actually based on the extending boom some bombers use to fuel up fighter planes. They just added a missile to it for toy purposes.
Nice to see you back Thew. I sure hope thats your last move for awhile. I happen to be moving from Tennessee back to Colorado in the coming months and I'm not looking forward to it. Moving sucks.
nice time to get this toy too, by now the shopping malls will be selling this guy on sale to make space for DOTM toys, i saw this guy on 40% off the retail price near my area (ellow~ from Malaysia)
hey mate, come accross this in toys r us picked up masterpiece grimlock , but i might go back for this nice plane mode and cool transformation thanks thew you rock!!!
Being one of the few ladies, I must say, this Lugnut's a hunk! I just got a Prime Soundwave, but this Lugnut does the wings better. He and Animated Blitzwing are my next big buys!
my complaint would be the robot kibble on the wings. They haven't done enough to make those claws look like engines. Other than that he's practically perfect in every way. But I agree, more purple would have been nice and loose the weird paint job, doesn't really work.
Yeah, I've never seen him in a single store either, and I've checked in five cities in three states since RTS came out. And then when I finally realized no retailers would be getting him since they're all holding out for DOTM figures and resigned myself to online retailers... sigh, missed that boat too, nobody's got them in stock. Oh well...
lugnut is frickin awesome i've had mine pride of place on top of the tv since i got it even out shining my rotf leader class prime which is the best bay-former ever
Not sure if you noticed, but Prime Soundwave can join Lugnut in the "My arms are wings" club. Hmmm. I think I need to go check the Beast Era for more candidates.
Funny how the RotF Lockdown also got transfered to G1 via IDW, which, considering his appearance in AoE is completely different...yay for G1ifing Animated!
question, when you have lugnut in his bomber mode,do you have a problem with the wings wanting to come down instead of staying in place? because mine want to hang down if i know him around to much
actually there were jaws painted on planes in world war 2 i wanna say, they used shark jaws to make the plane more intimidating but i dont know how that would work
What wave is he in? We got some Reveal the shield figures here, so I might be able to find a Lugnut; which'd be awesome. Like... this review is awesome. You know as in Thew's awesome transformers reviews? Hehe... nevermind, great work. Keep it up.
freaking awesome figure man love the way it looks on robot mode and man the transformation is great the arm becoming the wings so amazing and wow no showing parts of robot on alt mode now that is a transformer my friend. like this transformer if I get to see it or get the chance to grab one I will definitely pick him up he is a great transformer . great review dude thumps up again and again later barutazaru dude viruss'R'uss out
2011, it would have been hard to imagine a better Lugnut (at least, that's what I imagine, since I never had either Lugnut =( ). Today, in a world where Siege Jetfire exists, I reeeaaally want a Commander Class Lugnut.
like this version better than the united one, thought the united was like a charcoal black but it turned out to be diarrhea green, as for a new bulkhead, if the one in transformers prime gets a figure release it looks promising : )
I can only hope for one way for it to go: A re-release of some sort so I can get one at a price that doesn't make my guts churn. This looks so damn good, and I was WAY too late to the party for this toy or Animated.
3:28 I can only imagine a TF movie with Lugnut transforming his arms, divebombing onto some poor sod, and sucker punching them through the sky. Then, in a blaze of excellence, he flies unscathed from a hellfire explosion.
One can only dream.
Ryan Bo Chen Then dies a horrible death.
well with bumblebee setting up a new reboot series maybe lugnut can return to his true glory
and now lockdown has gotten the ultimate bayformation by being turned into the main villain
Now if only Bayverse Lockdown was even half as intimidating, threatening, or even as cool looking as the animated Lockdown... hell, even the old ROTF deluxe HFTD Lockdown's design would of been a better choice then the over grown human that was AOE Lockdown
Draconicus the Reaper
If he weren’t as gangly
Okay, so I'm watching Terminator 2 for the first time, and I just paused when Schwarzenegger said "Knives and stabbing weapons" just to watch this review again. I finally get that joke now!
Where now? There's only one place he can go.
Masterpiece Lugnut. Yes? Yes?
Shut up and take my money!
I'd love to, but I'm not Hasbro. :P
I've been thinking the same thing lately.lol True Heroes AB-115 Shark Plane. Roughly about this size would make it about correct in size?
FUCKING YES!!!!
in some alternate universe, the show would be called "Matt's pretty alright gobot talkabout"
And instead of metal he's into jazz.....
I remember a long time ago, i really wanted this figure, but it was unbelievably hard to find in my Town. That's funny, I found most of my figures at Kohls for cheap too. xD
+Johnora The Airbender so did I... In June 2012
10 bucks?? They were giving him away for that price.
I remember years ago I really wanted this figure, but it was unbelievably hard to find in my town.
Now the same figure, is still unbelievably hard to find in my town.
0:58: *BEEF! BEEF! BEEF! BEEF!*
I saw him on shelves back in 2011 but never managed to buy him.
2:16
Thew predicts Legacy Bulkhead
eh more likely tfp
2:17 Thew predicts legacy
2:17
I mean, took ‘em 10 years, but here we are.
There does need to be another... A RERELEASE.
AS LUGNUT, DUH.
2:17 I COME FROM THE FUTURRRRE TO GRANT YOUR WISH
SAUCER OF JAM
I’ve watched this video at least a dozen times and this is the first time I haven’t heard “sorcerer jam” 😂
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
This is by far one of my top 3 Thew's Reviews ever. Great toy. Great review.
This has got to be one of my favorite releases within the last few years.....very nice. And I do especially like the older vehicle transformers. I think they need to do some more. Behold! - The Glory that is RTS Lugnut in all his Glorious, Gloriousness!
2:16 Honestly Thew, im surprised you kept them crossed THIS long.
dude your reviews are amazing not only are they awesome but they make me laugh my ass off. You rock man keep it up!
You by far have the best transformers reviews online I can't wait to watch more
Arms that transform into wings? Prime Soundwave! Got him, awesome toy! Properly weird, but properly awesome!
1:40 Lugnut: *Punch Of Kill Everything!!!*
Captain Planet: Oh Nooooo😱😱
That review was hilarious. Just picked this guy up and didn't realize how big he was!
Ten years on, and I'm still waiting for an upgraded Leader-Class version of this design in "TF:A" colours. Are you listening, Hasbro?!!
2:50 - Was that a subtle Motorhead reference? :P
Thew me dear!
Ooooooh, he LUVERLY, ain't he? Favourited for "plane doing press up" image. I think I might display him like that :D
Glorious.
George
excellent review Thew, unlike some of my other reviewers you never fail me!
That is one sexy toy. I love the arms becoming the wings, it's so well done and both modes look awesome! Good review!
the production quality is getting better y'know- always worth the wait
that rodimus/ cyclonus boxset comes with a comic that retroactively puts lugnut not only into the g1 universe but at the battle for autobot city in 2005!!
and speaking of cyclonus yaay my cyclonus is on the shelf!!
nearly at 100!!!
KNIVES AND STABBING WEAPONZZZZ!!! That got me...i am now dead! Nedry's presented kudos :)
You do realize that a berserker is a warrior that gets so angry that they attack everything they see, and feel neither pain nor fear
ok that "plan doing a press up" i loled so much
Damn, this may another one of those cases where I have too buy the figure you review because ITS SO AWESOME
Bought Lugnut due to this review.
One of the best TFs in recent years.
Thanks Thew!
If we ever get a Generations Lugnut, here's what else there should be: Sideways, Demolisher (Armada and Energon), Tidal Wave, Cyclonus (Armada), Mirage (Energon), Evac, Snowcat, Mudflap, maybe Crosswise.
I bought this beauty based ENTIRELY on this review alone. Yes, you have that much influence God...I mean Thew.
Great review, Thew! Loving the transforming block too :D
Leader Class Lugnut & Strika "Consort" two-pack?
Hadn't planned on getting this fella, as I have the Atomic Animated Lugnut, but this review convinced me to get one.
Pretty sure given the quality of engineering going into the already revealed TFP toys that Prime Bulkhead's voyager will be amazing
anymore and we'd be going, LUDICRUS SPEED!!!
PUNCH KILL OF EVERYTHING
nice time to get this toy too, by now the shopping malls will be selling this guy on sale to make space for DOTM toys, i saw this guy on 40% off the retail price near my area (ellow~ from Malaysia)
3mm clip points*
the 5mm ones are the general hand hole sizes and mechtech/minicon port sizes.
hey mate, come accross this in toys r us picked up masterpiece grimlock , but i might go back for this nice plane mode and cool transformation thanks thew you rock!!!
Being one of the few ladies, I must say, this Lugnut's a hunk! I just got a Prime Soundwave, but this Lugnut does the wings better. He and Animated Blitzwing are my next big buys!

This figure is expensive as shit in the secondary market and that makes me sad
This by far is my favorite review. This made me get him just for the PUNCH OF KILL EVERYTHING!!!!!!
I can only think of one other Transformer that had its wings become it's arms, from the first movie set. Can't remember its name.
Thanks man, I was on the shelf about this dude.
RTS Lugnut is Punchcopter's long lost brother: Push-up Bomber!
Wait, that doesn't sound right.
1:30 - 1:44 awesome always (^^) good to see that you got him at last Thew
Arms becoming wings? Looks like TF Prime Soundwave took a cue from 'Lugnut here.
one of my grails
yeah!
you've got the bot talking goodness sorted!
ray
i feel so bad for only just, 2 years late, noticing the motorhead reference at 2.52.....
Funny it took 10 years for Generations to make the corresponding Bulkhead
Not sure if you noticed, but Prime Soundwave can join Lugnut in the "My arms are wings" club.
Hmmm. I think I need to go check the Beast Era for more candidates.
I just got this guy and he's awesome. I love the simple plane mode, but as a robot he kind of remind me of the carry armor boss from FFVII.
Funny how the RotF Lockdown also got transfered to G1 via IDW, which, considering his appearance in AoE is completely different...yay for G1ifing Animated!
fantastically entertaining review as always man! :)
question, when you have lugnut in his bomber mode,do you have a problem with the wings wanting to come down instead of staying in place? because mine want to hang down if i know him around to much
actually there were jaws painted on planes in world war 2 i wanna say, they used shark jaws to make the plane more intimidating but i dont know how that would work
There does need to be another Lugnut, one in purple and teal like he should have been
@durge12 The Battle of Autobot City was G1. The Transformer Movie was a transition between Season 2 and 3 of the G1 continuity.
your transformation music reminds me of Converge's Concubine! wicked!
What wave is he in? We got some Reveal the shield figures here, so I might be able to find a Lugnut; which'd be awesome. Like... this review is awesome. You know as in Thew's awesome transformers reviews? Hehe... nevermind, great work. Keep it up.
The Prime Voyager looks pretty epic, Mass(Volume) Shifting! At least the first edition...
Loved the transformation music. Any links to that?
very true. Luggers has a friend now
god i wish i had picked this guy up when i had the chance hes 50 kinds of awsomeness!
2:17 I mean there's always prime bulkhead
Lugnut's getting a Kreon.
freaking awesome figure man love the way it looks on robot mode and man the transformation is great the arm becoming the wings so amazing and wow no showing parts of robot on alt mode now that is a transformer my friend.
like this transformer if I get to see it or get the chance to grab one I will definitely pick him up he is a great transformer .
great review dude thumps up again and again
later barutazaru dude
viruss'R'uss out
2011, it would have been hard to imagine a better Lugnut (at least, that's what I imagine, since I never had either Lugnut =( ). Today, in a world where Siege Jetfire exists, I reeeaaally want a Commander Class Lugnut.
i have both the animated and the rts one and i like both of them
Great review, everyone should have that figure
thew, awesome job as always!
Lugnut needs to be in at least one of the movies as either a B-17G or a B-29
like this version better than the united one, thought the united was like a charcoal black but it turned out to be diarrhea green, as for a new bulkhead, if the one in transformers prime gets a figure release it looks promising : )
I’m still waiting for that CHUG Bulkhead
light piping, nom nom nom!
@BottlesOnTheFloor erm yes, i know. and in the film the battle occurs in the year 2005 even though the film came out i 1986
And now he's in Cyberv---oh wait, that's Clobber. Although, I prefer to call her Nutblast.
Please tell me you still have this beast.
oh he ain't going anywhere
@@toygrind That's the energy we love!
Lugnut best character of animated
Another great vid and this guy is coming to me tomorrow. :)
I meant Bulkhead, not Lugnut.
I can only hope for one way for it to go: A re-release of some sort so I can get one at a price that doesn't make my guts churn. This looks so damn good, and I was WAY too late to the party for this toy or Animated.
I had(? Can't remember if i sold him) this figure and really wish i still had him
I got one but as soon as I took it out of the box his right hip shattered and his leg fell off. Sad sad day
Why are the only listings I can find for this guy over 100$?
Between this and DotM Shockwave, Hasbro have released some epic voyagers in recent years
