Scale RC Off-Road Racing Action! - Axial Base Camp

It’s official: The RC Stories “One-Ten Off-Road Racing Series” (OTORRS) has begun. The Axial SCX 10 III Base Camp of team “7Bs Racing” took on the first event’s 4x4 winch challenge.
Aussie’s are not the only ones who enjoy this style of pure-off-road-fun racing. We like to get a little dirty here in Alberta too. If you are a fan of Australian 4x4 Winch Challenge off-road races then this series is for you.
Thanks to the organizers, course setters, event staff, video crew, race teams, and sponsors for all their hard work. Days of work went into making this event a success and this ~4 minute video is the result.

I’d been watching Australian winch challenge videos and wondered if I could recreate that in scale RC. Worked pretty good I think. I don’t know too much about this style of racing. Seems like some stages are head-to-head, but most look like time trials. That’s what I went for. One thing I would love to know is what the spring thing is called that Aussie racers store their winch hook on. I’ve added one to a new build but my research has come up short on that one.

This looks like a whole bunch of fun; great idea. Coincidently you Enduro Sendero resembles a Nissan Patrol Y60, which is really popular in Australia

Good idea. I like the chopped half-tube-frame trucks the Aussie’s use for a lot of racing. My Sendero HD should work great for that and will definitely get a shot at some racing action.

Pretty sure that's the RC4WD 1/10 Warn Hawse Fairlead.

It is a direct fit for the stock bolt holes. A Traxxas TRX-4 fairlead would also fit. Element RC Enduro fairleads are much wider.
