Of these songs Mr Insanity and Sometimes I'm are my favorites, but Winterfall is so crazy

In Mr Insanity, he's definitely saying "I paid for your sanity" instead of "I prayed for your sanity."
ah, I just adore this album so much!
and btw little note: ian actually also said that "mr. insanity" is also his god-clown character in the story (in the movie you could see him at the start. he's all glittery and in a leopard coat)
I feel very attached to Winterfall, especially since it connected me to Seraph so just imagine listening to Seraph first and then Winterfall (while taking the note of the lyrics).
Seraph is the fall in progress.
Winterfall is the fallen.
Seraph - the casting out
Winterfall - the outcasted.
Seraph - heat, burning, fire
Winterfall - cold, desolate
Seraph - I set my wings on fire (the decision made)
Winterfall - I set my wings ablaze, cause I thought you'd barely notice (looking back on that decision and the reasoning for it)
Seraph - the highs, but you're falling from it at a rapid pace.
Winterfall - the lows.
Revisiting Winterfall here because there's a part in the song that I'd interpret as from Mito to Ian.

Hurts you - are the lows.
Want to feel - are the highs.
If it's Mito to Ian, it's about understanding that being in the low mental/emotional state is hard for him so that's why he understands why Ian chases the moments he can feel - which are the highs. Here Mito is at his lowest, his winterfall and he says he basically understands.
The song is just beautifully sad and just hits in the feels.
Winterfall made me feel like I was in heaven fr fr…..I mean Christian is heavenly beautiful so makes sense
Also idk why but the context of sometimes im brought me back to nerves
i have no idea what my favourites are like I said in part 1, but Ribbon and Waterfall are good contenders for sure. The outro in Ribbon is incredible and Waterfall is like straight out of James Vincent McMorrow's Post Tropical album, which for the longest time was one of my favourite albums. It has the same vibe and his voice in it is chefs kiss.
Ian and his songs will always have a significant place in my heart not only for his talent and voice, but because of his vulnerability. He didn't have to do any of this, to open up so much, but he does and it's just so so special.

I might be completely off with this one but calico is also the name of a cotton fabric that is usually used for bandage so i thought he might wanted to say that his heart is so wounded that its wrapped with bandages (calico) so i think he's basically saying his heart is hurt
