The factory quoted HP rating of 129ps is at the crank, so it loses 14HP through drivetrain loss? Though I'm 100% on that as I don't understand the British ps rating for horsepower. However, not many manufacturers quote HP figures measured at the wheel. Regardless of the power figure, I shared the video simply because I love the noise it made on the dyno :P And my seat of the pants readings still say it is a bloody quick ride, even after 11 years of ownership :) I love my Daytona.......
@@jamesowen4360 July '01 was the first month of production I believe for the DSSD model. The previous model was also a Daytona and was the first to feature fuel injection. The T595 (which I loved and wanted) was prior to the fuel injected models. They had twin headlights, mine has the big single headlight.
Sounds like you are quoting the later model 955's power figures. Mine is an '02 model that was made in July 2001, first of the new model at the time. It has a double sided swingarm. Also, see Brody Davis' comment below about dyno's........ I'm no dyno expert and only wanted to share my experience along with the awesome sound from that carbon pipe :P
On this dyno at the time, the bike made 112.4HP at the wheel. Last time I had it dynoed a few years back it made 133.8HP at the wheel with a custom tune and BlueFlame muffler with the restrictor removed. Different dyno brand though, so hard to compare.
The Dyno was at the Phillip Island GP circuit when we were there for the MotoGp when Casey was still King!!
Weather was clear but cool like always.

That Daytona should be making 147BHP at the crank or approx. 125-130RWHP!

Can You upload the torque curve please? :-)
No answer for wheel HP ??
