you bring two things to the table:
a) you fit a niche. you are one of very very few youtube persons that do stuff on defensive edc fixed blades.
b) you are (seem) honest af.
do content whenever you feel like it or whenever you have stuff to talk about. dont feel pressured or something. i'd rather watch a video once a month (or less!) that is high quality than... yea olight.

I’m planning on going camping several times here in the next couple months so I’m very much looking forward to getting outside and using my knives in that way. Nature is good for the soul. Thanks for the kind words man
Bro, your channel is the best EDC channel on youtube in my opinion. I don't care about having 5 new reviews about 5 knives, lights or wahtever that like u said hasn't been used/tested. Take your time and keep doing what are you doing: like customs knives, you produce few high quality reviews and videos. We will be here to see and enjoy them like we always have

I can't even begin to rattle off the tons of EDC knives, guns, holsters, flashlights, gizmos and gear I've been introduced to from this channel and bought. VP9SK, SW638, Sosby, Milmak, Aux mft, Offensive Industries, flashlights, bags etc. Keep up the good job but take the time out when you need it. I think your followers want quality over quantity. (I also want that new Sosby very badly).

Just started my edc channel. I realize how shilling products is seemingly the only way to make youtube a successful business, so im not getting my hopes up. I just like talking about tools and idk anyone is real life that wants to hear about it
That’s exactly why I started my channel man, just someone to talk to about my hobbies. Don’t despair, if you can find a niche that you fit into and are passionate about, there will be others that also feel the same way. You may not blow up overnight like some of the big channels, but having a small group of loyal subscribers is pretty cool.

Mike (AuxMfg) is the man, I’m forever grateful to him for some of the doors he’s opened for me. I do have a small, solid group of makers who consistently send me things to review, but I’m always looking to expand. I recognize that these guys are just regular dudes like me too who need to make money off their products so I don’t wanna drain them of hard earned products haha I gotta keep expanding the lineup

I don't think there's anything wrong with the ad reads. They're not about the stuff you do. I also don't see a problem with a video every now and then. You're doing what you love. We're just coming along for the ride. Your audience likes you and what you do. We're not going anywhere. Just do you and have fun. 😊

You are good at talking and making videos. If you want to actually make money, it’s not just about making videos. Look at metal complex and his video numbers and then go look at Peter McKinnon who is a photographer. Peter has WAY less videos and WAY more subscribers. If you want this to make you money, you have to do more than table top videos. You have to start getting into editing. That’s my opinion.
@@joe_a_photo editing helps for sure, and I’ll start doing more of it eventually, but the content of the video is what matters. The difference between people like metal complex and me is those channels have massive amounts of Chinese product being sent to them constantly. Everything I make videos on is either because I’ve developed a relationship with the maker or I’ve bought it myself. I have a lot of the Chinese companies in my DM’s and email wanting to send me stuff, but that’s not what I’m about.
