My idea for a fronters DLC themed around Infinite. "The phantasm island" "An island covered shadows and pulsing with red light. At the heart of the island is a single red gem that sends a shiver down your spine. It is THE Phantom Rubie" You must destroy the shields protecting the Rubie so you can defeat its threat once and for all. The last shield goes down, and the Rubie is finally in your reach, and as you're almost there, a figure stands in the air, clutching the gem. "Sonic, I almost want to thank you. Without you, I never would have been able to complete the Phantom Rubie" "No y-you shouldn't - We defeated you" "YOU DEFEATED EGGMAN!! I am not Eggman, I'm not a machine. I AM NO ONES PAWN!!!" He crushes the gem in his hands, the power now spiraling around him. "Bare witness, ALEPH 0" PH4NT0M Infinite (basically, what Super Sonic is to the chaos emeralds but with Infinite and the Phantom Rubie) it would be a very fast paced boss fight centered around doing your best to avoid attacks and punishing rather than dealing damage. you can only parry one attack it a time and Infinite is throwing Hundreds of cannons at a time, ripping up chunks of the island to launch at you and is creating storms of phantom energy across the landscape to stop you from running. "This ends here, one way or another." #JUSTICEFORINFINITE
as a person who goes by the username infinite (most of the time) i can confirm that i'm the final boss of sonic forces (i'm also the tallest of mountains) (and the roughest of waves)
Infinite's design is great, but I feel as if he was written as less of a threat than he could have been. If Sega went all out on Infinite, he could've been a genuine threat rather than just villian/annoyance of the week

I'm imagining an alternate version of Forces' final boss. The trio have just used Triple Boost to finish off Eggman's mech when suddenly instead of exploding, it collapes in on itself, transforming into a large, unholy combination of Infinite, Heavy King's Upgraded Form, and Eggman's mech, and in the center is the REAL Phantom Ruby, not the replica Infinite used. And this starts playing. New final boss: the Phantom Ruby itself!
Phantom Infinite: The Phantom Ruby has been fully realized and Due to powers and fused powers of The 7 Chaos Emeralds, Super Emeralds, The Master Emerald, The Phantom Ruby and Myself The world shall be destroyed into entire illusion - Phantom Infinite
This is the best remix of Infinite's Theme and if he were the final boss in Sonic Forces and not Eggman as always then we would have seen a new form of Infinite like P.H.A.N.T.O.M. Infinite and as Super Sonic boss fight

When I heard this remix for the first time, I imagined how Infinite transforms into a giant creppy beast version of himself ( Similar to Metal Overlord ) and Super Sonic, Classic Super Sonic and Super Avatar fight against this god of phantom ruby in Nule space ( Yea I thought Infinite will transform into Infinite golem )
I really do wish this was the final boss, although Sonic Forces was not that great, they need to make a frontiers DLC themed around Infinite and there could be a boss, it would be really good if there was a frontiers DLC like that
