So we know we won't be getting career mode on Rugby 25 until 2025 so I thought I'd put together a small series on the game to keep us going until then. You guys have asked for it and I will deliver. You voted for the URC and I'll be trying to take the Bulls from South Africa to glory!

@@SIMONK479 this match was horrible and dark. Some work needed on the lighting in certain stadiums I feel
The game has a lot of potential I'm really looking forward to the full release, I like the little details like the ref having a talk to number 8 after the scrum collapse and the counter rucking

game looks like a 2005 fifa game, graphics are shocking for 2024 game.Almost looks like those moble sports games you play with these graphics
@@xdxblanks4748 this match doesn't really show off the graphics as it's so dark. I think in better light the graphics are actually good. Clearly the gameplay needs lots of work though
"the pitch looks fantastic" these guys are getting paid or otherwise rewarded to praise this game. Graphics (pitch included) look like that of a game that was released years ago!
@@Matt-m3y-r4u no payment or rewards for me 😂 I think the game looks good. There is a lighting problem, like this match is way too dark but in other lights I think it looks great. Just my opinion. Does it play great? No not at all.
can you change the camera position?
@@tommy.b10 You have 2 camera angles. End in and side. You can now adjust the zoom of both

I think what the rugby game world needs is less time trying to make a 'nice looking game' let's be honest with the budgets available for rugby games it's not going to happen. I would genuinely prefer them to make a more basic looking game and spend all their time developing the core gameplay, make it smooth, natural looking, I hate in every rugby game how janky it looks when players run up to the ruck, stop then engage like a lego block into place, how every time a tackle is made that the running player has to slow down instantly to match the speed of the tackler and take the tackle, how when running with the ball and changing direction it's wild and cartoony. Just concentrate on a fun, natural looking (Movement wise), flowing game, graphics can come in future. I would rather a PES 2008 looking game of rugby that is responsive and just solid feeling than a modern looking attempt
@@unicornsrugby yeah I think most people will agree with you. That's why games like Jonah Lomu and 08 are still played to this day. It's not because of how they look, just good fun gameplay.
Heres a tip dont over edit and dont record rugby until Ross knows how to make a rugby game and what rugby is about i would love to see other videos as they clearly dont listen to their community

@BearsGamer if i had the money i would, and definitely wouldnt waste it on a nrl base. And claim its from "scratch"
@HyperYoda communication has certainly been an issue with this game.
@BearsGamer it is and seems like a money grab exploiting the rugby fans that are desperate for a game, theres so money examples of rugby games out there but nothing rugby related is implemented its sad man.
More cut scenes in games would be great aswell as overall tournament percentage for kicking and tries scored per player, theres so many small to big details that they just missed that makes rugby, rugby. Its disappointing

How does the game feel? Dont know if this makes sense but for me it still looks and feels more like a rugby league game.
@@levigriffiths8213 yes there are still certain elements that feel very rugby league. Several animations are placeholder league ones apparently which should all be gone by official launch.
So in short you just told me not to buy, and that the game is dog shit?
@@TheJvanzyl this is not the full release. It's early access so there will be issues. I'll be judging on the final product
It looks like trash! I am so disappointed. I wasn't expecting something that looks like EA FC or MLB The Show, but this is embarrassing.
They need to join up with a bigger team like Activision or 2k. I mean I'm sure Konami would do it, they loverugby in Japan and pes has finished
