Arkansas State Police assist BAIL BONDSMAN with pursuit of man with multiple felony warrants

On 10/9/24, I was contacted by Lt. Latture with the Saline County Sheriff's Office who asked if I could assist them in locating
S1. S1 had multiple felony warrants and was known to flee from police.
While meeting with Lt. Latture and other Saline County Deputies a few miles from the suspected location S1 was at, two Bail
Bondsmen from City Bail Bonds Inc., noticed S1 leave the area in a blue Chevrolet 3500 pickup. The Bail Bondsmen followed
S1 and provided their location. I got behind V1 on Beauchamp Road near Berry Drive. My emergency lights and siren were
activated and V1 refused to stop.
V1 was traveling above the posted speed limit of 45 mph and at times was traveling in the opposite lane of traffic during the
pursuit. V1 turned east on Lawson Road, north on Marsh Road, and then east on Colonel Glenn traveling towards Little Rock.
Due to V1's manner of driving and not wanting the pursuit to reach the populated Little Rock City Limits, I initiated a TVI
(Tactical Vehicle Intervention) on V1 by placing my right front bumper on the back left quarter panel of V1 and turned to the
right. V1 lost control and spun to the right, overcorrected, and starting spinning to the right. At that point, the front of my patrol
vehicle made contact with the right rear of V1. V1 then came to a stop facing south in the east bound lane on Colonel Glenn
near Adobe Drive. S1 was taken into custody without incident. This caused minor damage to my patrol unit including the front
bumper and left headlight. The pursuit lasted approximately 6 miles. V1 was speeding at times and driving recklessly during
the pursuit.
I transported S1 to the Saline County Jail where he was booked in for:
Fleeing (C/F),
Reckless Driving,
Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree (D/F),
Driving on Suspended DL,
Fictitious Tags and
No Insurance.

Another real piece of work in the world of cultural success. Apparently skipped with bonds, then adds to the list of charges by felony fleeing..... but "somebody in a red car was shooting at him". Okee dokee!! That makes an acceptable reason for fleeing every time. At any rate, he's back in custody ... hopefully for as long as the laws will allow.
That was a slick little crossover pit move by the troop!

@@EclipseStrife One handed gun is fine if you train for it. I guess youve never done off hand training or one handed manipulation training incase of injury that impairs a wing. I can think of plenty of scenarios where cops might have to shoot 1 handed so I would hope theyre training for it. One handed may not be ideal but he didnt look like he intended to fire and was subduing a potential threat. Part of LEOs job is threat assessment. After a whole 50mph chase Im pretty sure the officer wasnt threatened and using the firearm more as a visual tool.
I suppose the usual frantic yelling and panicked screaming while in full tactical shooting stance is what you prefered?

Stop for the lights and sirens (multiple units at the end)
Stop at Stop Signs
Obey Speed Limit Laws
Stay on the right hand side of a Double Yellow Line
So in many ways his statement was correct!
At least he wasn't one of the "usual suspects"!

That was a great TVI. For those that don't know, the heavier the vehicle, the harder it is. So a 3500 dually is about as bad as it gets. Shredded tires helped, but still a fantastic job.

Speeds were 50-55mph. This would have been considered a high speed pursuit in California and they would have had to terminate.😄

The only vehicle that ASP did not try to PIT was a loaded dump truck. They did however shoot the engine block, bringing it to a halt. The dump truck had intentionally ram a squad car. Fortunately the officer wasn't in his vehicle.
