Dragoon has found success with Elevate, but with Glide it can also consistently outspin Wizard Rod on Ball. And its attack is decent on its stock Cyclone bit. The thing with Beyblade X is that you can pretty much always find a use for a part with enough experimentation.
True but dragoon and elevate haven't made it to the point of being added to the beyblade x restricted list. So they aren't wizard rod, cobalt drake or pheonix wing op yet.
According to some leaked product codes, there’s likely going to be a left-spin winder launcher releasing in March, likely as a way for customers to have an affordable replacement should their string launcher break. I’m honestly looking forward to it as my fear with Cobalt Dragoon so far has been the launchers being faulty compared to other Beyblade X launchers we’ve gotten so far, and as a someone who grew up with MFB I would want to own the L-Drago remakes for their novelty too.
1:41 Dragoon Elevate is quite literally the meta countering giant. Around the same level/better than Meteo Absorb in terms of similar matchups and counters. 2:10 this is likely an intentional nerf to reduce Dragoon’s potential to become a busted spinstealer. Even with the nerf to blade design it’s still more than enough to spinsteal effectively. Likely the same case for LLD, tho that nerf may also just be because they’re nerfing all X-overs in general. 2:40 this isn’t a beyblade X exclusive problem. Burst also had the same issue where you needed to buy Lost Longinus if you wanted to use Dragoon S. MFB avoided the issue by not having any other left spins outside of starter sets. As for the launcher faults, that’s definitely an issue but you can easily fix it yourself if you don’t want to spend more money on launchers.
Goon 1-60 elevate has bin a main stay on competitive and winning decks here in Asia. The demand for it made it more expensive to get at my local market. Also I'm supposed to get the Metal coated Goon before Xmas, but the shipment from the factory got delayed due to bad weather T_T now I will have to wait longer. I just wanted it to use the cyclone bit on my Crimson Garuda.
Nice hope you get your dragoon soon. I wasn't trying to say that dragoon was bad in x,just ok in terms of stock combos hence why I said the first point was the weakest of all 3 pints in the video
I don't think season one left spin beys are terrible, but they would definitely benefit from having a good quality launcher that isn't as prone to breakage as the current one.
2:08 don't worry about that, this is intended so that the launcher hooks don't unbalance the Bey, the have also done this with Chain Incendio (where you can see it much more)
In all honesty, I wasn’t too hyped for left spin beys here because they were oversaturated in burst and pretty much ruined burst battle by making it all about LAD if the battle lasted more than 5 seconds. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw cobalt dragon was bad.
I can agree with that. My main gripe with left spins in x this go a round was that they don't hit very hard compared to when lost longinus or the original l drago released. They didn't need to rely on LAD, just have a lot of power to make up for poor stamina.
Left Spins are kinda optional, unless you have parts such as Elevate which is a part locked in TWO Gacha based Products because screw you and TT wants your money or even Glide, which is locked in a Mediocre at best deck set.
Left spins being optional is a good thing though as we don't want one bey to dominate the meta.I also agree it sucks that tt has begun making fun or competitive parts locks behind expensive sets or gotchas again.
@360Beyblade It's Good considering what happened at Burst, but I've seen people here saying Dragoon is good with Elevate, that is if you can either pay your way or gacha your way to get one. I just don't find people considering financial aspects of it. Like My brother in christ *Not all can spend thousands on spinning tops to get a piece of plastic to make a specific part good*
I'll add a fourth one, and this is just my opinion. Both visually and thematically speaking, Cobalt Dragoon is just kind of underwhelming compared to what came before. Starting with visually, when you look at the likes of L-Drago or Longinus, they both have very aggressive shapes, with the tips of the blades being pointed in the direction they are spinning, which resulted in famously devastating blows to their opponents. With Cobalt Dragoon, the opposite is true, as the blade tips face the opposite direction that the bey spins, giving Cobalt Dragoon an overall more compact and conservative appearance. You could argue that Takara Tomy did this to reduce the amount of damage the bey causes to other blades and to itself, and to my knowledge this is true, but they didn't do this with Hells Scythe at all. Granted Hells Scythe has a much less jagged shape than Cobalt Dragoon, but still. Not only this, but the color choice for Cobalt Dragoon just doesn't give off the same intimidating factor that previous left-spin dragon beys did. The silver, blue and red design makes it feel more like a main character's bey rather than the ultimate final antagonist. Yes, you can argue the black and gold recolor fixes this, but the fact remains that it's just a recolor, not the main bey. And this is where we segway into the second and final issue. Thematically, Cobalt Dragoon doesn't feel like anything unique. This isn't a mere coincidence, it is deliberate, as this bey is meant to be a homage to the original Dragoon from Bakuten Shoot Beyblade. The 4X avatar bearing a striking resemblance to the bit beast Seiryu doesn't help either. So, whenever I look at Cobalt Dragoon, I don't really think of the fearsome first left-spin bey of Beyblade X at all. I think of Dragoon Storm, Fantom, Galaxy etc. And I don't really think of Khrome Ryugu. I think of Takao Kinomiya. And that's a shame, because I quite like Khrome and think he has a lot of potential. You could argue this point about Cobalt and Impact Drake as well, since they're also homages to Seiryu. But they're not left spin beys, so therefore don't really fit in the discussion. And frankly, I think Cobalt Drake is much more unique than Cobalt Dragoon. The blue metal coat was stunning and in contrast to the OG Dragoon beys' predominantly white color. The Gear Chip design hints enough to Seiryu whilst still looking like its own dragon. Plus being a right spinner helps (yes Spin Dragoon was also right spin, but the thing looks like a fricking cube and the Bit Chip looks nothing like the Dragoon we know and love, so it's fine). Even Impact Drake to an extent. Assuming the mysterious white and blue dragon we're seeing in the second season of the anime is Impact Drake's new avatar, then that'll be very good as it sets itself apart from Seiryu. So, the long and short of it is that Cobalt Dragoon, compared to your Longinuses, L-Dragos and even original Dragoons, just neither looks nor feels that impressive. Again, at least to me.
Do these launchers work with the beylogger and beyblade burst stuff ? The japanese specifically. My string launcher broke ages ago and i mangked the teath on my launchers trying to get a spin soeed achievement ages ago. Havent played since and refused to pay £70 for a new one off amazon
Probably not the beylogger, but you might be able to take the prongs from a burst launcher and swapp them with the prongs on the beyblade X launcher. Never tested this myself though so please do this at your own risk
@360Beyblade are they completely different then ? From what I can see they look the same and the launcher even has the window for the black and white but from what I saw in your video
I just checked with my beyblade burst beylogger and unfortunately it's set up is slightly different from the battle pass. Preventing me from fully attaching it to my X launchers.
Also the new mold of the string launcher (From the black metal coat dragoon) doesn’t break and launches smoothly, and it’s only $30 if you find one with free shipping currently.
Ok cool I still think if tt makes a stand alone string launcher or left winder than it would be a bit easier to forgive the launcher issue. 30 dollars for the dragoon is really solid. My dragoon which is being left sealed cost me $47.
the thing that drives me up the wall the most is that the dragoon line is the ONLY left spin line weve seen this ENTIRE time (i dont count L-drago those are remakes) like seriously? burst had at least 3 left spin lines with an evolution coming out every season wheres our defense and stamina left spinners?
Maybe x is trying to go the metal fight route with one pure left spin line and and new beys capable of left spin being dual spin kind of like hammer which is left spinning by accident. Maybe not though as the cobalt line seems to be a mixed bag going right then left back to right.
MFB was the same way - We had the L-Drago line, and then we had Gravity Destroyer, Gravity Perseus and Variaries as dual-spins. That's it. Honestly, Burst was probably the only era that really did left-spins justice, at least with stock beys. Plastic era was technically even better but only because when the Spin Gear system was introduced every Spin Gear bey that didn't have a gimmick that relied on its spin gear could be reconfigured into left-spin.
No one uses here ldrago upper type? That one is quite anime accurate as it has lightning maneuver gimmick. It works well at 560 low flat with setting its protrusion correctly it almost doesn't loss to an attacker type bey
I won a tournament w Dragoon on gear ball and 360,also its super prevalent in the meta rn on elevate and level. And one of my subs topped w my 360 Cyclong set. I wouldn't say that its bad at all. And every top tier blader i know either runs or occasionally runs Dragoon. Also everytime beys and bricks has it up it instantly or near instantly sells out. I can understand for sure the launcher argument. But it not being meta seems like a bit of a stretch imo. Granted i do wanna make it clear in no way am i trying to be negative or mean. Im simply pointing out i see it on podium all the time and its objectively a staple in the meta as Rod and Wolf Hexa fear it.
