I can totally relate to your L'Occitane perfume interlude. My mother was given a large bottle of Jean Menounos _Hesperides_ cologne as a gift by a dear friend from Athens sometime in the 70s, and I grew up adoring the scent on her. I inherited her perfumes upon her death over a decade ago, and splashed the dregs of the _Hesperides_ on liberally in the summertime, playing the Euro sophisticate, thinking I could always get another bottle once it was gone. How could such an alluring scent ever be be out of production? Joke's on me! Enjoyed this run-down of your favorites. Good luck with the renovations and TFP : )

We are starting our bathroom renovations this month , 2 of the bathrooms . I’m not looking forward to the process but can’t wait to see updated beautiful bathrooms .

I love Bobbi Brown's "Beach" fragrance. I have a bit of an old perfume obsession myself. Diane Von Furstenberg had a scent "Tatiana" in the 70's and 80's that I treasure. I rarely open the bottle, certainly never use it, and when I smell it I am transported.

You should try Philosophy Pure Grace - Summer Surf fragrance. Every says I smell like the sea ‘in a good way’. It’s so refreshing.

i really want to purchase a guerlain perfume when i run out. I remember they come in a line of simple scent profiles (i think i'm not sure, i recall they have an orange scented one and i love orange scents!) ... so nice!!! Aerin also!!!
Ruth, you can consider wearing arm covers for sun protection while you are in the garden with a big hat on :) Uniqlo has them and it doesn't make you feel hot but protects your skin.

I dont really tan quickly at all but my hands do- so i end up looking like i'm wearing brown gloves-i'm in my mid 50's so now they look like brown reptile gloves 🤣

Not to be a Debbie downer, but be careful w the oil diffusing w pets. I recently learned I’d given my cat a respiratory issue from diffusing oils. My vet told me certain oils can be toxic to pets. I had no idea. Felt like a jerk when I found out. 😞

I did the same thing! All my cats got sick and as soon as I threw away the diffuser they all got better instantly!
I did this too with my dog! Pine and cinnamon oil I had form neals yard. And my dog started coughing and sneezing all the time and lethargic. Almost like he had kennel cough. But then I finally realised he was having allergies and we had been accidentally poisoning him 😞

When a person has a beautiful, youthful looking face, two things still give her age away: her hands (if they're sun spotted and wrinkly), and the age of her kids (if the beholder finds out about them). For instance, I look like I'm in my 30s but people have an absolute cow every time they find out my son just graduated with his 2nd uni degree. (He's not even my eldest). Can't hide that unless I avoid telling anyone I have kids!! LoL! In any case, it's not advisable to let your hands get tanned any more than your face.
I have the opposite problem. My face is darker than my body even though I use SFP and hats. I usually wear long sleeves of light fabric and sun gloves when outside and my body ends up staying very pale compared to my face.
Ruth I’ve always admired your clothes but wondered how the sizing works: would you say me & em “fits” true to size? What about the other brands you like to wear? I admire them all but would have to buy online!
