@@one-armed-reefer5184 For sure - I think you have to really commit to those types of wrasse (and sacrifice having smaller fish and inverts). You never really see amazing reef tanks where they went in your direction with the bigger more aggressive wrasse - sometimes they try a Harlequin. That's what makes this tank so special I think. I love fairies, flashers and anampses so I couldn't go that route but if I did I would try a Niger Trigger too ;) And a yellow hawkfish - that is the one fish that would make me want a reef with more aggressive fish ;)

I love the marshal as say she’s a pain and was never that bothered but she was in the shop for ages and started hand feeding her and fell for her so she came home. She can be a ass but I have a huge boxer shrimp in there and she’s never bothered him which is a surprise tbh lol

Haha + apex, auto water changes, UV, ozone with extra skimmer and dosers. I see all the coloured tubes, wires, probes and manifolds it looks a bit crazy to me. I’m not knocking the system, the display and frag display are stunning 🤩 clearly it all works!

Loving a LPS dominant tank that’s goals 😍😍. Huge shout out to you Sam For recommending deer park aquarium, have been instrumental in me having minimal issues kicking my tank off 3 months in and loving it. Few more months and my goals of mandarine dragonet pair can happen .
@@ParkersReef Both of the boys in store have saved me big coin . I just ask i have needed up going minimalist and not chasing numbers by any means seems to be working for my tank amazingly . I just told them end goal ( mandarins) and they have been amazing . Well worth the 30 minutes each way 😂😂. Now to find a watchman goby in aus without selling a kidney .
Lees tank is awesome, full of great 👍 healthy corals and beautiful fish, it’s Always interesting to see how other reef keepers run their support systems, especially in the Uk 🇬🇧 👍 You’ll have to do a follow up Sam when lees got his new tank fully up and running. 👍🏴

My issue is low dkh @ 5.2 low ph @ 7.6 and high calcium @ 490.. still a maturing tank set up 3 months ago with dry marco rock and unsure whether to buffer the all or to just let it mature.. I've no corals as its just to early yet so wondered if I should just let it be for now?.. Bet you wished you'd never offered 🥴 lol

sohal is doing great not the first one I've had tbh one of my all time fav fish planes to upgrade to 8-9ft tank in 2023 if things go the way I want them to in 2022 so fingers crossed
Sorry was that nervous and wining it on the voice over I use zelements to keep kh mag and cal up in the system dose quatum phos remover to keep phos down and have my refuge to help with that and nitrate but I run high nitrate tbh 55 and stable at that may seem high but there’s where tank seems to be happy if I drop it everything sulks lol

Ah no. Not my kind of stuff. Fish way too big for too small displays (sohal, its like putting dwayne the rock johnson into a 2*2meters room!) Also way too much surface for not needed bacteria. Why u wanna convert all this good ammonium into nitrite into nitrate when ammonium is the easiest way to feed corals? Then using algae to get all that excess no3 out of the system..... Nah, keeping it more simple without so much surface for (unnecessary!) bacteria..... Do u wanna grow bacteria or do u wanna grow coral?

na it's really pretty simple - can just be difficult to show it on video. Fairly basic sump really, skimmer, heater, fuge and return
